Dreamy Nighttime Dot-To-Dot is a relaxing and well made connect the dots drawings for youngsters along with mindfulness and breathing prompts. It contains 134 pages, and is available in paperback format.

The drawings are simple but effective and all are restful and night-time/bedtime themed. The dots are numbered sequentially (like other dot-to-dot books) and contain up to 100 dots or so (many contain fewer). There are also some coloring pages and simple inspirational quotes.

This would be lovely for the home library, or for gifting to young readers. Babysitters, grandparents, primary school classroom helpers, etc could also benefit from having the book for youngsters at naptime/quiet time.

Four stars.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

This is a pretty good book that is a wonderful tool for parents everywhere. I have no doubt that this book will make bedtime so much easier for both parents AND kids, but the most notable thing about this book is how effective it is. Dot-to-dot and coloring activities are awesome for mindfulness, and they are two things that young kids will enjoy. I give a lot of credit to the author for creating a mindfulness activity book for little ones because it is so importnat to get good habits such as these in place sooner rather than later. The skills that this book teaches will definitely serve readers later in life.
However, despite this book achieving its goal and being very thorough, I couldn't help but feel like something was "off" with the short poems. I think a great thing to include would be fun rhymes. It will add a sing-song-like feel to the writing, which will help lull kids off to sleep even more. It will also help readers stay even more engaged and encourage focus and put the mindfulness skills to use.
Overall, though, this is a spectacular book!!
