Thank you to NetGalley, Storm Publishing and Kristen Bailey for the chance to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

Nothing- and I mean nothing will separate me from Kristen Bailey's books. Her humor, her wit, her banter, her plot lines.. They are CONSISTENTLY SO GOOD and I will always read them ASAP

If you've read Kristen's recently published hits- In Hot To Go we get to go back to the school where Ed, Mia & Zoe teach. Both of our MCs are foreign language teachers (SAME AS OUR AUTHOR!) and their journey is one that makes you wonder if their spicy chemistry is only HOT TO GO when they are in muy caliente weather?!?

Among other cameos and easter eggs from Kristen's writing- the FMC's cousins, the Callaghan cousins, had me thinking to myself "these cousins are a riot and I hope they get a book or two.." Well unbeknownst to me- Kristen has already put out a FIVE BOOK Callaghan Sisters series in 2020 through 2022! How fantastic that she gave us a healthy taste of her backlist to entice us to get our hands on those puppies!

Hot To Go is the fun story of how British school teachers, Suzie and Charlie, meet on a HOT vacation day and an instant romance is initiated. There are lots of ups and downs in their story, with lots of Spanish and French language thrown in, which adds some spark and challenge to the narrative. The story is light and makes for great vacation reading. The ending is a tad on the predictable side. I found the numerous sex scenes and sexy dialogue to be a little off-putting, and would have limited that more in the text.

Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read and review Hot To Go.

my first ARC is officially under wraps!

this book was so fun to read! i really enjoyed the dual POV, although i do prefer them as separate chapters (just because long chapters aren't for me personally) but it wasn't too bad! i did think it was super fun how 2024/2025 coded this book was, all the modern references were super fun to follow! i also really enjoy me a "what's meant to be is meant to be" type trope and this book sure delivered that!

I was excited about the premise of a holiday romance that turns into something more, and the first part of the book delivered with wonderful scenery and entertaining hijinks. But after the characters returned to their regular lives - the new teaching jobs where they're working side by side - the tone turned uneven. There were some wonderful scenes, including a romantic interlude that failed in an realistically humdrum way, but there was also a lot of skimmable chitchat with forgettable side characters. Plus, I found the stream-of-consciousness narration (from both POVs) awkward. 3.5 stars, rounded up because this is the kind of book you read when it's 95 degrees out.

This was a perfect summer read. I honestly enjoyed it a lot. The plot was well executed, and the writing was engaging. I was able to get through the book pretty quickly. I also learned some new British slang through this book.
Charlie and Suzie’s banter was entertaining, and the meet-cute was really hilarious. There were several incidents that gave me much-needed laughter as well as second-hand embarrassment. And the romance, though it started at a holiday, was sweet and had a slow build-up.
I also loved the family bond that Suzie had with her cousins and Charlie with his siblings. The cousins were funny and nosy, but they brought a lot of life to the book. I adore big families who are there for each other, no matter what.
I just wish I had got to connect with the main characters a bit more. And I also wanted to see more romance between them. The pacing felt slow at times, despite the book being driven by a mix of plot and characters.
Overall, I had a good time reading it and would recommend picking it up when you want to read a fun beach holiday romance with some spice.

Thank you, NetGalley and Storm Publishing, for the digital ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Was excited to read this as was marketed for fans of Emily Henry- however, I couldn’t get past the very cringy vulgarity and excessive drama to get into it. So PSA: if you don’t love in your face sex and innuendos on every page, pass this one by.

'How to go' is the fourth book I have read and enjoyed by Kristen Bailey. A quick read, feel good, sexy novel. Thanks to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for the chance to ARC this book.

This was a really enjoyable summer read. Suzie and Charlie made great leads and the banter was great to read. The main characters and the side characters were so well written they seemed to come alive and I couldn’t stop reading. II haven’t read any other books by this author, but will definitely be on the look out for others now. Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me access to this great read.

This kind of cover always draws me in the thought of an exotic destination and all those bright colours. It looked like the perfect summer read.

The story follows newly single Suzie, a french teacher who goes on holiday to Mallorca with her cousins to get over her heartbreak, after becomming new single when she find sout her partner has been cheating on her. The last thing she is looking for is romance but she meet Carlos and the pair end up having a wonderful connection after a steamy one night stand. And sadly what happens in Mallorca, does not stay in Mallorca....as fast forward a few weeks and Charlie turns up at the school she works in and introduces himself as the new Spanish teacher. And both have to admit the little white lies they have told each other.

This is a really funny, easy reading book. The pair are forced together via the staff room and a school trip and their connection resurfaces. I found my self laughing aloud, cringing and generally thinking 'OMG' the whole time I was reading.

Hot to Go is this summer’s go-to romcom. It is equal parts hilarious, chaotic, and unexpectedly sweet. Tender emotional moments are woven in just enough to add the perfect touch of depth. Suzie and Charlie are messy, relatable, and a delight to root for. If you’re in the mood for a fast-paced, feel-good read with heart and humor, this one’s for you!

Hot to Go was my first Kristen Bailey book. I went into it hoping for a light summer read; I wasn’t expecting to get a book that made me laugh out loud and was full of heart!
Suzie travels to Mallorca with her cousins to celebrate a 40th birthday. Charlie heads to Mallorca for his brother’s bachelor party. After a meet-cute on the beach they have one steamy night together. Afterwards a series of little white lies causes them to lose touch.
Upon returning from their trip Suzie starts a new job teaching at a school in London where she is picking up the pieces from a messy breakup. The universe decides to surprise them both when Charlie is also starting a new job at the same school…
This book had some of the best banter! Not just between Suzie & Charlie, but I loved the relationship between Suzie and her cousins. They are chaotic and hysterical, but also fiercely loyal and protective. It’s the girl gang we all want! This was such a fun summer read. It’s full of hot days in the sun, steamy tension, and heartfelt family bonds.
Thank you to Netgalley & Storm Publishing for giving me the opportunity to be an ARC reader. Hot To Go releases 7/18, add it to your summer TBR!!

4.5* This was such a fun read with the perfect mix of sunshine, and slow-burn romance. I loved the witty banter, the awkward (but hilarious) school moments, and the undeniable chemistry between Suzie and "not-Carlos". The writing had an easy, breezy flow that made it impossible to put down. If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if your vacation fling followed you home and then sat next to you in a staff meeting... this book is for you! A perfect escape with just the right amount of spice and swoon.

okay this was fun!!! I did not expect to enjoy this story so much after I read the premise, but I was down with the cute holiday romance situation. I get sick of the "will they wont they" as much as the next person, but I felt that a lot of plot points were earned with this story, and I didn't find anything too drawn out or over done.

read this by the pool!!

Now playing : 🎶hot to go by chapell roan 🎶

This book is about two teachers who first met in Mallorca during the summer under a false identity. They had a short summer fling then part ways under a misunderstanding. Except fate had another plan and they are now reunited under their real identity. Can they still have the same passion that they had in Mallorca ?

Honestly if you are looking for a silly summer romance book this could be a great match for you but I have to warn you guys there is in fact spice. I personally didn’t like that so I wish someone had warned me. And also for me I had a feeling that their relationship revolved around that but that’s just my opinion.
Though I really like the setting, it’s fun and lighthearted and I think all the characters were great so I absolutely can see why people would love this book and I honestly had great laughs reading this.

Happy reading 📖

Thanks @netgalley the author & publisher for the ARC.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this book, I couldn't put it down! It's a holiday romance of 2 people who are never supposed to meet again but somehow the universe collides and they both end up teaching at the same school! Very clever writing and it was very funny in parts! My only negative is that the latter part of the book, was just too quick, like done and dusted here's the epilogue with 10% of the book left (that was then another book being written by the author).
All in all very enjoyable and I'd recommend it!

This is a perfect summer beach read!

This book has it all! Lots of humor, feel-good moments, emotional moments, and a lot of spice.

When Suzie finds out her husband Paul is having an affair, she decides to leave Paul and her job behind.
Her cousins invite her on a vacation to Mallorca where she meets her holiday fling: Carlos aka Charlie! The steamy romance, the chemistry - it is all there!
When Suzie returns home and starts her new job as a French teacher, she runs into this new Spanish teacher, who just happens to be Charlie aka Carlos!
A holiday fling doesn’t always stay a holiday fling!

My thoughts:
This lighthearted story was a fun read. Both Charlie and Suzie are such fun and lovely characters. Sometimes I was very exhausted from all the drama and all the side characters and I think it was a little too much. There were times where it was hard to keep track of each character and who was who.
I definitely recommend reading this book on vacation to match the vacation vibes!

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for this funny, lighthearted book!

This book maybe just wasn't for me, I think maybe it's the verbiage that didn't do it for me. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. There was too many characters to follow for me, but I did really like the two main characters.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC!

Loved the fun friendship cousin story line but there were a lot of side characters and just not the story for me. Thanks for the early read #HotToGo #NetGalley.

*3.5 stars*

Thank you Net Galley, Kristen Bailey, and Storm Publishing for this ARC.

Suzi and Charlie meet while on separate vacations and have a summer fling. They lose touch, so imagine their surprise when they're both new hires at the same school ...

I found this book to be very comical, a great summer rom com. There is ample witty banter between characters and I laughed out loud a few times.

However, I did find there to be too many characters to keep track of and I felt the pacing to be too slow at times. The book could have been more succinct.

There were many French and Spanish phrases/sentences throughout and it was often times difficult to decipher what was written with context clues. Would have liked English translations to be provided so I didn't have to stop reading to Google Translate.

Loved the humor and the main characters! Worth a read!
