Ahhhh!!! this book was amazing! It was so funny and i felt very emotionally attached to the characters! It was my first Kristen Bailey book but certainly not my last!

☀️ LIBRO PERFETTO PER L’ESTATE ?☀️
📚 Hot to Go di Kristen Bailey
Una commedia romantica frizzante, leggera e assolutamente divertente! 💃🏼🔥

This book had me hooked from the beginning. The characters growth was amazing, the setting was cosy home town, the two main characters had my heart! I knew they were destined to be together, they both went through something super traumatic but they made something so beautiful together.
A very light hearted and humorous book. Though it’s every inch this, there is some very real bits, a very relatable read!
Highly recommend reading this book. A warm way to brighten up your day.

I absolutely steamed through this book. Charlie & Suzie were just adorable.
This book is the epitomy of the miscommunication trope!
Slightly spicy but full of Spanish heat!

Hot To Go is the perfect summer rom-com! Funny, lighthearted, and irresistibly cute
After a messy breakup, Suzie heads to Mallorca with her chaotic but lovable cousins, where a spontaneous night of skinny dipping leads to a steamy one night stand with a mysterious stranger she knows as “Carlos.” Back home, she’s shocked to find out “Carlos” is actually Charlie, the new Spanish teacher at her school!!
Full of witty banter, forced proximity, and undeniable chemistry, this story is both hilarious and sweet. The family moments add warmth, and the romance strikes a great balance of spicy and heartfelt without being over the top.
Perfect for fans of Emily Henry or anyone craving a fun beach read. I’d give it 3 stars, a quick, feel good escape!
Thank you to NetGalley, Kristen Bailey, and Storm Publishing for the ARC. Out July 18, 2025!

Told over 5 parts, from Suzie and Charlie’s POV, this is really the perfect summer rom com! Serendipity but with a little chaos, some spicy spice and a lot of laughter!!
I was rooting for Charlie and Suzie the whole time, waiting for the happy ending even amidst the carnage of real life! Both characters are told well, and will having you loving them both. I really love Kristen’s writing and how her characters are all intertwined somehow, the Callaghan sisters are back as Suzie’s cousins, we have Ed and Mia from Sex Ed, and then there’s Zoe & Jack from Textbook Romance. She has a talent for keeping her books up to date, the cool words, the in music, and she’ll forever be an auto buy author for me, one of my favourites!

I'm not a fan of books that are too spicy, however this is more "Confessions of" rather than "50 Shades of" and is in fact quite sweet - but don't let that put you off. There are some spicy moments, but they are counterbalanced by a mixture of humorous and more downbeat moments.. Overall a light hearted book which, to me anyway, shows the importance of being able to laugh with and feel that you always want to be with your partner.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book..

3.5 🌟
such a cute summer rom-com! i loved the dynamic between charlie and suzie, but also charlie and his siblings and suzie and her cousins. i also love a story of two teachers dating, and this story really touched that trope perfectly. i thought it was fun to see the adventures in different cities. these two had some maaaajor miscommunication, and i just wanted to shake them!! but it was definitely written in the stars for these two to be together.

I was so excited when I read the blurb for this book and thought it might be the read of the summer. Sadly, I just could not get into it. I didn't connect with any of the characters and found it all a bit over the top. There was just too many bizarre instances to happen to the same people all the time. I also found the way the pov's were laid out were a bit confusing at times which pulled me away from the story trying to sort it out.
Not badly written, just not for me.
**Received ARC through NetGalley. Voluntarily reviewed.**

4.5 rounded to 5.
Suzie is recovering from her partner having an affair and goes away on a girls trip with her cousins. Charlie is recouping from a relationship that blew up in his face, and forced him to move on from his job. Thankfully his brothers stag is coming up and he's looking forward to letting off some steam. He isn't expecting to cross paths with she skinny-dipping French woman, Aurelia, on the beaches of Mallorca who captivates him, nor is she expecting to cross paths with the helpful local Spaniard, Carlos, who offers up his shirt. Except they aren't really Carlos and Aurelia at all, everything about them is fake, unlike their undeniable chemistry.

This was one of those books that's only 350 pages long, but it feels like you've settled in for twice as much. The pacing was perfect as we get to watch Suzie and Charlie's lives, misfortunes and questionable decisions play out in ways that were both sweeter and more challenging than expected.
They start the book pacing out their own stories, until they finally meet on separate vacations about 20% into the book. From there we get to see their chemistry explode as they start a summer fling that has so much potential, but ends up caving in on itself. Adding the twist as they come back to their regular lives was sweet, especially with both Suzie and Charlie struggling to know how to exist in each others sphere's when they weren't Carlos and Aurelia.
I loved the underlying thread of the universe constantly pushing them together, and how they were both finally willing to accept that they had something important that wasn't worth giving up on. It was so genuine, heartfelt and sweet, and I fell in love with how human both leads were. The banter was impeccable as well, and kept me burning the midnight oil to finish this one.

Thank you to Storm Publishing for the Advanced Reader Copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

“Your feelings in the aftermath will never be my responsibility”
Thank you NetGalley, Storm Publishing, and Kristen Bailey for letting me review this book!
This was a fun romantic comedy about Susie and Charlie. The two of them meet on a vacation and then with turn of events wind up meeting again and again!
This book was a fun read! I loved the cousins in this book. It also just itched my brain them being called “The cousins”. I hate Paul… obviously!!!
There were different events that happened that made me laugh! Some parts were frustrating at times too! The downs had me thinking COME ON!!! The ending was great and it ended up being a cute romantic book!

Sock-cock-gate will be forever burned in my memory! I was actually laughing out loud reading this book at all the series of unfortunate events! I loved the cousins and their chaotic caring for each other throughout the book. My only critique would be about the conversations between students and teachers in this book. I felt uncomfortable reading some of the conversations as someone who works with teenagers in a school. Unfortunately that made it hard to enjoy some parts of the book for me and I would have preferred those conversations to be happening between staff or adults.
Thank you to the author, Netgalley, and the publisher for providing me with this arc!

You know what I’m learning in my more advanced years? The universe throws you these people sometimes at the strangest times. You can watch them sail past and miss out, or you can reach out and catch them.’ Suzie and Charlie seem to have the universe working to bring them together and themselves throwing away their chance at love. Funny, sweet and full of emotions. I’ve love the banter, the thunder moments and everything in between. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. This is my honest review.

I'm a HUGE fan of Kristen Bailey's stories, but unfortunately, her latest Hot to Go is not my fave. A cute romance, but more passion than storyline in my opinion.
Suzie & Charlie meet while on holiday & have a whirlwind romance with plenty of spice. After their holiday, they return to London & find out they're teaching at the same school, but the same passion they had on holiday is just not there. Until a school trip changes things back for them. A 3rd act break up & then a happily ever after with more spice.
The best part of the book was the side characters, the leads character's siblings/cousins are hilarious & I would totally read Lucy's story if Kristen Bailey would like to write it ;)
Thank you, #NetGalley, for allowing me to read Hot to Go. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book on #NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own, but please add this cute romance story to your TBR list.

First 40% or so was good and then nothing really happened from then on? It just seemed like we were adding random characters so the main characters could talk about the other. I felt like they had no chemistry? Not to mention, there's no way the two of them stay together

Aurelie and Carlos have a holiday fling but they aren’t who they say they are .
Suzie wants a new life and has started a new job in London as a French teacher. Who should she find on her first day ? Carlos but he’s not Carlos .
A rollercoaster romance which will have you laughing throughout.
Lovely to be reunited with familiar faces from previous books .
A perfect summer read in the sun .

Meet Suzie, teacher and newly single thanks to her husband of two years having an affair!
Suzie leaves her home and job for a fresh start. With the summer holidays ahead before starting her new job, there's time for a girls' holiday with her five cousins. Hooking up with Carlos, holiday fling, Suzie (using the alias Aurelia from Fance) wasn't expecting to fall for him, but after he stands her up, she goes home disappointed.
September arrives, and Suzie is not the only new teacher to start. Suzie is shocked to find Carlos is the new Spanish teacher, only he's not Carlos from Spain, he's Charlie from England!
We then follow the highs and lows as the pair try to make a go of the relationship as their true self's without the magic of Spain.
I loved this book. It's a fab, fun summer read, filled with so many funny and satirical points. I was constantly reading out sections to family as they queried my laughter! I loved both Suzie and Charlie's characters and the beautiful relationship each has with their families. Their attitude and connection to their pupils had me wishing they had taught me at school!
I loved hearing their inner dialogue and how it showed that relationships aren't always sunshine and roses. They can be messy with misread signs and false starts. Yes there were moments where you could guess what might happen next but that in no way spoiled it for me. I enjoyed meeting other members of staff and was pleased to discover they have their own stories, which I can't wait to pick up.
If you're looking for a hilarious summer romance for your holiday read, look no further! This is the book for you!

A great lighthearted read that had me laughing out loud and nodding along at the funny anecdotes. A perfect escape for the summer that has you wishing you were in Seville enjoying the sun.

I was approved this ARC via NetGalley and oh my goodness me! Kristen Bailey has done it again! I adore her writing and I loved seeing the relationship bloom between Suzie and Charlie. The story was well written, loved all the characters and particularly enjoyed the laugh out loud parts of the book. Was such a fabulous and pleasant read♥️. Perfect summer read for the weather we have had lately, fitted right in. This title is released on the 18th July 2025, make sure you get yourself a copy, you will not be disappointed🥰

3.75 ⭐️ – A light, charming romcom perfect for summer
Hot to Go is exactly the kind of fun, flirty read you want in your beach bag. From the sunny setting in Mallorca to the whirlwind summer fling that takes a surprising twist, this story delivers on laughs, chemistry, and heartfelt moments.
Suzie and Charlie’s dynamic is filled with witty banter and just the right amount of emotional depth. The writing flows easily, making it a quick, enjoyable read—one you can devour in a couple of sittings.
While the plot follows familiar romcom beats, it stands out thanks to its likable characters, strong dialogue, and vacation vibes. A great pick for readers who love romantic comedies with charm and a touch of chaos.
