Hilarious, fast paced, juicy vacation-y read. The perfect mix of cliche romcom and unexpected twists and turns. The banter between the characters was really lovely. The trips across Europe fun, and the British sayings made it even better. The only downside was the characters sometimes internally-monologues in the middle of their dialogue which made it a bit confusing to follow what was actually said.

This is the perfect book Once you finished a very hard read. A quick read with a bit of travel for our female character.
Our main character is Susie who is a French teacher and who once thought she was a happily married woman until she wasn’t. She finds out that her husband had been cheating on her, so Susie picks up and leaves. Thank goodness for cousins who tell her to come on holiday with them. Mallorca turns out to be very hot in many ways. Susie did not think she would end up having having an unbelievable time with a man, you cannot get out of her mind. Except when the next day arrives and he doesn’t need her where they were supposed to meet up Susie feel she was being used and feeling of despair hits her all over again.
Now that she is back in London at a new school, she runs into the man she met on holiday. Could this be the same man? It turns out that he is the new Spanish teacher at the school and she finds out why they didn’t meet up that next day. Charlie and Susie find out that they both did lie about who they were especially their name.. Yet both could not forget that hot romance they had on holiday. Do they both know the truth about each other? Who is Paul and why does he get involved with Charlie?
This was a cute novel. I read through pretty quickly, and I would recommend it to anybody. I love that we were able to travel to different parts of the world with these characters. Susie ended up being stronger than she thought she could be. I used the circle of women that surrounded her. They got her through a very bad period in her life and I just like that they were there for her. Four stars. So thank you.NetGalley and the publisher for the.ARC. I LOOK FORWARD TO MORE NOVELS BY MISS BAILEY.

My first book by this author, très bien (iykyk). Managed to get an arc copy of this book and found it so enjoyable and lighthearted, I enjoyed the concept of two people pretending to be someone else for jokes and banter to then be shoved together in their real lives.
I felt like both Suzie and Charlie were very likeable characters and felt like real people. I enjoyed the way the story flowed. There was a lot of humour and fun to their relationship with also having serious tones and hurdles that aren’t super unbelievable. The only thing I felt like maybe would never happen was a school the email from Suzie’s ex to Charlie, maybe that could happen I don’t know but that would be my only somewhat flaw in the story.

I found it really easy to get through, easy to read. You know it’s good when you find yourself thinking about the book and characters when not reading the book. Overall really enjoyed, would recommend this to friends! Fun summer read too!

I read the first few chapters but ultimately it didn't pique my interest enough to continue.

Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Fun as usual for Kristen Bailey. Loved the school references and the teenagers were fun and spot on. The formatting of the arc was a little confusing to follow at times with the dialogue. There were lines I thought were one character but was still the previous character still talking and a few typos or missed words but I believe Kristen said certain things pointed out were corrected for the release. Hopefully that it is. The twist was a bit dragged out and felt like it took a long time to get to the dividing conflict but enjoyed reading it overall.

I absolutely loved this book — it had me laughing out loud more than once! The humour is sharp, natural and genuinely funny, making it such an enjoyable and easy read. The writing feels really fresh and modern, with dialogue and scenarios that are relatable without being clichéd or cringey. It’s the kind of rom‑com that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but still manages to give you all the warmth and charm you’d hope for.

The characters are a real highlight. They’re likeable, believable and just flawed enough to feel human. I found myself rooting for them from the very start, and their chemistry is written so well that you really want to see them work things out. Even the supporting cast added little moments of humour and heart, without ever stealing the focus.

The story itself is, admittedly, predictable — you can see where it’s heading from early on. But for me, that didn’t take away from the experience at all. The fun of this book is in the journey rather than the destination. The mishaps, misunderstandings and laugh‑out‑loud situations along the way kept me turning the pages happily, and by the end I felt really satisfied, even though it wrapped up exactly as I expected.

Overall, this is a charming, funny and feel‑good read that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a light, modern romance with a lot of heart. It’s the perfect book to curl up with when you want something comforting and entertaining — and it’ll almost certainly make you smile.

While I loved the premise of this book & the chemistry between our two main characters I absolutely could not stand the dialogue, it was a little bit painful for me to read unfortunately.

3.5/5 ⭐️

Suzie has just gotten out of a bad breakup, and Charlie is in the same boat. They both decide to pretend to be someone else and have a fling while on vacation! Plot twist, they are actually new coworkers and now have to work together... what could go wrong?

This book was very funny and I enjoyed myself while reading it! Perfect read if you are looking for a light, funny, summer romance book.

This is rated lower for me because I didn't feel as attached to the characters as I wish I did, and a choice Charlie made when some information came to light about Suzie really annoyed me, but overall, I liked this book!

Thank you Kristen, Storm Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my thoughts & review.

This book was so fun! Hot to Go is the perfect mix of steamy vacation romance and awkward real life fallout with plenty of laughs along the way.

Suzie, freshly heartbroken and in serious need of a reset, heads to Mallorca with her cousins, expecting nothing more than some sun and sangria. What she gets instead is a wild, slightly tipsy night that ends with a rescue by a ridiculously hot stranger she thinks is named Carlos. Cue sparks. And skinny dipping. And secrets.

Fast forward to real life and guess who shows up at her school? Yep—“Carlos” is actually Charlie, the new Spanish teacher, and now they have to work together like nothing happened. Spoiler: pretending not to know someone you’ve seen naked is as awkward as it sounds.

Their chemistry is 🔥, the banter is hilarious, and the school trip to Seville just ramps everything up. There are mistaken identities, cringey moments, and some sweet and lots of genuine emotions.

This was such a fun, flirty read that still had heart. Perfect if you’re in the mood for a breezy rom-com with vacation vibes, second chances, and a whole lot of heat. ☀️💃🏻🍷

4.25 Stars!

I’m a huge Kristen Bailey fan so was really hoping to get approved for this one. It was nice to take a break from the thrillers and this was a good one for that. Yet again it wasn’t usual to hear me laughing out loud in bed while I got to know Charlie and Susie and all the antics they got up to. Bailey has such a knack for writing loveable, quirky characters and she brings there personalities to life on the page. NOT Paul though, he’s gone on my hit list 🤐. It was also nice to revisit with other characters from previous books - The Callaghan Sisters will always hold a place in my heart ❤️. If you’re looking for a feel good, laugh out loud read then I can’t recommend this one more or any of Kristen Bailey’s.

Thanks to Netgalley, Kristen Bailey and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read and review #HotToGo

This book was a very fun rom-com that made me laugh out loud. There was also some seriousness and while reading this book, I could see the movie playing in my head. This book definitely plays on fate and "what's meant to be will be." I very much enjoyed it.
Thank you to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to devour this arc!! 😊

Funny, raunchy, and genuine! I loved the meet-cute and I thought the main characters were adorable and realistic. If you're in the mood for a sexy summer rom-com to read while sipping sangria, I definitely recommend checking this one out.

Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC!

I usually love romance novels, and this one was recommended by a friend, but I did not love it. I found the characters to be one-dimensional and boring, and it was difficult with the two POV's in the same chapters - usually this does not bother me, but I found it confusing in this novel.
I also found the writing to be confusing and difficult to follow, and the characters were not well developed enough to bring me in. I just really didn't care about them, and this includes the main characters, Suzie and Charlie, and the side characters. I didn't find this book to be a fun, cozy summer romance - it was slow and somewhat cringy instead. I thank NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

A very nice RomCom with lots of Summer vibes, good feelings, witty banter and nice characters. I enjoyed reading this book a lot and liked how the challenges to transfer a holiday romance to the real world were described. However I did expect more on page intimacy and less talk about it by others.

AMAZING. I was not expecting it to be this good. I saw very good opinions and jumped in without thinking it and i´m not regreting it.
Even though the chapters are long, the double pov in each one of them makes it super addictive you don´t even notice the length of them.
I love how the romance is built, i find it quite real and i like that very much. The characters? Pretty aweson, loved them both Suzie and Charlie. The story develops so well at a good rhythm so you don´t get bored.
I´m looking forward buying this.

Every once in a while, a book comes along that completely sweeps you away: the characters, the setting, the secondary cast... everything just clicks. "Hot To Go" by Kristen Bailey was exactly that kind of book for me.

From the very start, I knew I was in for a treat. Suzie, a French teacher reeling from heartbreak, finds herself surrounded by the most incredible support system: her five cousins - five sisters, all so different, all so fiercely loyal. Their bond was so beautifully written, it actually made me emotional. When Suzie gets invited to celebrate one of the cousins' 40th birthday in Mallorca, she happily tags along for some much-needed fun.

Enter Charlie, the most lovable male lead ever (and yes, in my head this is already a movie starring Jonathan Bailey). He’s a Spanish teacher in Mallorca for his younger brother’s stag do. When Charlie and Suzie meet, they give each other fake names and lean into their holiday alter-egos. Sparks fly, leading to one unforgettable night… and then chaos.

They think they’ve lost each other for good... until the first day of term at a new school reveals their true identities and puts them face-to-face again. Can that holiday magic survive real life? Can they rediscover the spark now that the masks are off? And are there more secrets that could get in the way?

I loved this book. It’s one I know I’ll go back to again and again whenever I need a warm, uplifting read that feels like a hug. The relationships - Suzie and her cousins, Charlie and his siblings - were such a highlight. I also really loved how both Suzie and Charlie connected with their students; their relationships were beautifully written, and you could really feel how much they cared. Charlie especially came across as a true role model. And the way the author touched on deeper themes, like grief and the loss of parents, was moving and beautifully done.

10/10 would recommend—this book is full of heart, humour, and just the right amount of chaos.

I was hooked on this book from the very first chapter. Suzie, the main character, is hit with some traumatising news right off the bat—and her reaction had me laughing and fully on her side from that moment on. Kristen Bailey’s writing is effortlessly funny, and I genuinely laughed out loud several times while reading.

Hot to Go was such an easy and enjoyable read. Suzie and Charlie felt like real, relatable people—and honestly, it was refreshing to read about two genuinely nice main characters. This is the first romance I’ve read in a long time, and it was a welcome break from the brooding or emotionally unavailable male leads that often dominate the genre. Charlie, in particular, was such a joy to read—caring, flawed, and human.

The plot had me fully engaged throughout. At one point, Suzie describes their relationship as a rollercoaster, and that perfectly sums up the reading experience—there were moments that made me laugh, moments that made me tear up, and plenty that filled me with hope. I found myself really rooting for them, even as they stumbled through their mistakes.

A witty, emotional, and heartfelt romance that blends chaos and charm in the best way. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing my access to your content and allowing me to review it! The very beginning may have caught me off guard, but man did this end up surprising me! The banter between the two MC's was very witty and the summer holiday vibes were immaculate, making for a lovely summer time read. I became so invested in the story that I devoured it in one whole day. I thought the pacing was well done, the characters written well as so much to feel like real people, and the plot was on point. I do wish we got a bit more before our prologue, but alas! I very much recommend and hope others enjoy!

firstly thank you so much to kristen bailey and netgalley for the arc of this book!

suzie and charlie are the main characters in this book.

suzie is married to a guy named paul and she finds out that he has been cheating on her so she up and leaves and creates a new life for herself with her cousins that are all super close.
she is a french teacher.

charlie is single as can be. his parents tragically passed away a few years ago and that resulted in him being the guardian for his siblings.
he is a spanish teacher.

suzie gets invited on a trip with her cousins to mallorca for one of her cousins birthday celebrations. she needs to loosen up a bit after her breakup with paul and what better way then with some fun in the sun!

charlie is going to mallorca on a stag trip for his brother max.

the whole story going back in fourth between is it fate or is it a coincidence. the book has so many good spots and things that made me laugh out loud completely but some spots really made me scratch my head.
the unfortunate thing was i really wanted to enjoy this book which i did in spots, but i wasn’t actively excited to pick it up hence why it took my so long to get through it.
i loved the characters and the banter between them.
i did however found it difficult to navigate when they were talking in french and/or spanish.
the chapters in my opinion were also soooo long which didn’t help the wanting to pick it up in my opinion.

overall the characters, banter, laughs and storyline outweighed most of the bad therefore i rate the book a 3.75 stars.
