Thank you Storm Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC!
I loved this book so much. It was the perfect beach read! I loved the characters, the plot changes, the relationship arc - it was all perfect. I found myself laughing out loud while reading this one. I definitely plan to read more of Kristen Bailey's work!
Thank you again for the ARC!

Thank you for the oppurtunity to recieve an ARC of this book.
Ive read all. Of Kristen's books and I shall continue to do so. Every single book she writes makes me laugh, and her characters are always so good. Kristen is very good at bringing her personality through in her writing, which always leads to lots of giggles. Even the way she words things, it brings a smile to my face. If you have read this authors work before, you will enjoy this. If you've never read her work, I can guarantee you will be purchasing her other books.
Amazing work as always, well done Kristen

This book was an absolute delight! I had never read a book by Kristen Bailey, but now I will be scouring her backlist. This book is hilarious, witty, and full of great banter. I tore through it in two days!

“Hot to Go” by Kristen Bailey is the kind of romantic comedy that brings both the heat and the laughs—a delightful, summery escape packed with charm, spice, and just the right dose of chaos!
This book follows Suzie, a French teacher nursing a broken heart, who takes a much-needed vacation to Mallorca with her cousins. The last thing she’s expecting? A chance at love. But during a spontaneous night of skinny-dipping, Suzie gets separated from her group and is rescued by a handsome stranger. Sparks fly… until the holiday ends and she returns to her teaching job—only to discover that her mystery man is now the new Spanish teacher at her school! And to top it all off, he’s not even named Carlos like he claimed… it’s Charlie.
Cue the witty banter, white lies, forced proximity on a school trip, and plenty of delicious tension. Their chemistry is electric, and watching their relationship unfold—from misunderstandings to emotional vulnerability—was an absolute joy.
Kristen Bailey brings a fresh twist to the typical rom-com trope with her hilarious writing style and heartwarming characters. The humor is spot-on, filled with laugh-out-loud moments and playful banter that had me smiling throughout. I especially loved the emotional undertones and family drama that added depth to the otherwise lighthearted plot. There’s spice, yes, but also tender, heartfelt moments that sneak up on you.
That said, the pacing could’ve been a tad tighter—some sections felt a bit stretched—but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment. I also think fans of Emily Henry or authors like Beth O’Leary will really enjoy this one.
🌴 Whether you’re by the pool, curled up indoors, or longing for a beach vacation, Hot to Go is the kind of feel-good summer read you’ll want to pack in your bag. It’s emotional, hilarious, and yes… pretty hot too.
Favorite quote:
“I guess you can meet someone and the spark can be strong, they fill some space in your mind, and then they are all you can think about…”
Thank you to NetGalley, Storm Publishing, and Kristen Bailey for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Hot to Go by Kristen Bailey is a hilarious read that had me laughing from beginning to end. The humor is spot-on, with witty dialogue and quirky moments that make it feel like you're sharing inside jokes with a good friend. The playful banter between the characters is fantastic, and the lighthearted tone kept me hooked throughout.
What I really loved about this book was the unique central trope—it’s something different from the usual rom-com setups, which made the story feel fresh and exciting. Bailey did a great job putting a fun twist on a familiar theme, and the character dynamics were really enjoyable to watch unfold.
That said, while I was entertained for most of the book, it did feel a bit stretched out at times. There were parts that seemed to drag a little, and I think the story could’ve been a solid 50 pages shorter without losing any of its charm.
Overall, Hot to Go is a perfect pick if you're in the mood for a funny, feel-good rom-com with a unique plot. Definitely worth the read, just be prepared for a slightly longer ride than you might expect!

Arc review - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - A cheeky, fun read with heart - but not quite my flavour
Hot To Go delivers humour from the very start, with a cute storyline and a strong, sassy female cast that made the cousin dynamics one of the book’s standout elements. I also enjoyed the dual POV, which gave a nice balance to the story.
That said, a few things pulled me out of it - some dialogue in Spanish and French went untranslated, which made parts a little confusing. And while I’m all for a bit of cheekiness, the sheer number of euphemisms and innuendos was a bit too much for my taste.
Still, a light and entertaining read with some great moments of female connection.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

Looking for a proper British romance? This right here is calling your name 😍
Honestly, this book was an absolute joy to read. I never knew how much I needed to read a British romance after reading so many American ones!
The speech, the disgustingly hot weather, holiday choices, this book was British to a T. It was so perfect, so heartwarming and so so funny I simply couldn’t get enough.
Following Suzie and Charlie’s story felt like I was on a constant FaceTime to the two of them. The twists, turns, and belly-laughter moments kept me hooked from page one and I think Kristen is officially one of my auto-buy authors!
☀️ holiday romance
🥵 hot hot hot British weather
🍎 workplace romance
💫 fated romance

Kristen Bailey's Hot to Go offered fun moments and charming characters. However, as a Spanish reader, certain linguistic and cultural details prevented me from fully enjoying it, which is reflected in my 3-star rating.
Charlie and Suzie are undoubtedly the heart of the novel. Their dynamic is fresh, full of chemistry and authenticity. Bailey has a talent for creating comedic situations and lively dialogue. The scenes between the characters are well-constructed and managed to make me laugh on several occasions. The plot, although predictable for the genre, maintains a good pace and offers a light, pleasant read.
However, as a Spaniard, I appreciate the inclusion of references to my language or culture. Unfortunately, basic grammatical errors were found here (number agreement, gender agreement, prepositions) that are glaringly obvious to any native speaker. This flaw is exacerbated by the fact that Charlie is a Spanish teacher. It's completely implausible that a qualified professional would make elementary mistakes that even an intermediate student would avoid, and this kept pulling me out of the story

This was such a fun summer read! Susie and Charlie were characters I immediately enjoyed reading about. The rom-com vibes were immaculate, without being too silly or cheesy. The storyline was easy to follow and the characters made me love them from beginning to end, even if they were stupid on occasion.
Hot To Go is my first Kristen Bailey book, but I will be reading more!

I loved everything about this book! 🤩 It’s my favourite out of the Kristen Bailey books I’ve read so far (and I’ve loved the others)!!
We meet main characters Suzie as she finds out that her partner Paul has been cheating on her with someone he met at the gym!! All credit to Suzie, she absolutely does not put up with this and leaves him immediately, after throwing some food at his head 👏🏻 Having moved to a new place and securing a new job as a French teacher at the local secondary school, Suzie sets off on holiday to Majorca with her cousins ☀️
In Majorca she meets Charlie, or Carlos as Suzie comes to know him as. Suzie also gives a fake name and the two of them have an immediate spark, despite pretending to be people they aren’t. But when a freak accident means Suzie and Charlie don’t reunite before heading back to the UK, they both try and move on with their lives. That is until they meet again at work - Suzie as the French teacher and Charlie as the Spanish teacher, both newly employed.
Things are frosty between them at first and when they do eventually try to recreate the magic of Majorca, it falls flat. Was it just destined to be a holiday fling? Or is there something more between them?
Laugh out loud funny, utterly relatable, witty, charming, full of heart and humour, just brilliant! This is exactly the kind of book that I love. Characters who you just fall in love with and want the best for. I was soooooo cross with Paul and his antics towards the end!!!! 😡 The most perfect summer read, I only wish I’d have been on holiday whilst reading it!! ☀️

I've tried to read this book multiple times but I've never finished it. I find that the writing style needs a revision even though the story has potential

This was another super fun read by Kristen Bailey, set in the same teaching universe as some of her other books. I loved the chemistry between Suzie and Charlie as they figure how to make their love work in real life.

Hot to go had me laughing out loud from the very first chapter. The way I absolutely DEVOURED this book! It’s awkward, hilarious, sweet but relatable. This was a really nice swoony summer romance filled with sun, sea, holidays and cute meet-ups, full of British humour and spice 🌶️
I enjoyed the MC’s, the chemistry, the banter, the family and work colleagues dynamics, Mark was really funny 😂 It was cute and cosy, the perfect summer read. I highly recommend this summer rom-com book.
♡ Dual POV
♡ Summer holiday romance
♡ Strangers to lovers
♡ Forced proximity
♡ Meet cute
💌 Thank you Kristen Bailey for a fun read and to NetGalley and Storm publishing for this ebook. I look forward to reading more.

Thank you to NetGalley and author Kristen Bailey for this ARC.
I felt like this book is a super easy and perfect for the summertime. It starts with a holiday fling between Suzie and Charlie but things get interesting when they meet again at work. The funny banter between them got some giggles out of me and I enjoyed the chemistry them have going on.
The characters are well written and the plot is not super deep or dramatic so it's perfect to get you out of a reading slump if that's the case.

HOT TO GO - Kristen Bailey
A hilarious rom com between Suzie a French teacher and Charlie a Spanish teacher. The dialogues and situations especially in the first 100 pages were so funny and witty that it's been a while since I laughed so much while reading a book. There is family drama, some serious spice along with full summer vibes making it a refreshing change from my past few reads!

Hilarious And Spicy Beach Read Romance. I don't normally proclaim a book to be a "beach read" as by definition, *any* book you bring to read on a beach is a "beach read", and I don't know what books every reader is bringing to every beach for all of known humanity, thus I can't possibly proclaim what a "beach read" is.
That noted, this is *absolutely* a book I could personally envision myself or many others enjoying at a warm beach (again, not all beaches are warm - anywhere sufficiently north or south on the globe yet along a large body of water will have a beach that will be cold) or perhaps poolside on a warm day or perhaps even on a cruise in some warm location. The reason being the two parts (of 5) of the book that travel specifically to warm Spanish locations - Mallorca and Seville, where the warmer-than-the-British-Isles location actually plays a role in how some of the events come to be.
Now, for those wanting a *quick* read... this aint that. This book clocks in at nearly 400 pages, and it takes nearly 100 of them to get to Part II - after Mallorca. For those less interested - for whatever reason - in the day to day banalities of being a K12 classroom teacher... know that this book deals fairly significantly with these in the back 2/3 of the book, as that is one of the drivers of the rest of the tale - the couple from Mallorca find themselves working down the hall from each other in a school, in the same department. (In the description so not a spoiler, btw. :D)
For those readers who can barely tolerate a warm glass of milk spice wise, know that this tale is somewhere between a Habanero and a Ghost chili - you're *going* to see and feel it, and you might come to regret all that you saw and felt. Which is actually where some (much?) of the comedy comes in, particularly in Mallorca and to a lesser extent back in Seville. The London and Paris sections were seemingly relatively less "spicy" and it was within these sections that we get a lot more of the non-physical drama and romance.
Overall I thought this was particularly well done, even at its length. The romance was enough to be both playful and heartfelt. The spice was enough that you may want either your partner or a towel - no shaming here - nearby. The comedy was everywhere from chuckles to damn near literally "I can't read right now because I'm literally rolling on the floor laughing so hard my gut may well explode and my ass may literally fall off". And for those reading this because the title is apparently a Chappell Roan song? No idea there. The most recent music I regularly listen to is now seemingly at least 15 yrs old, with newer stuff from John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Alan Silvestri, and a few other film composers thrown in along with the *occasional* random find on Spotify. Let's face it, you're coming to me for *book* recommendations, not music recommendations. ;)
Very much recommended.

This rom-com was sharp, hilarious, and unexpectedly touching. The main character was forward, but her family were an absolute riot, the romance brings the heat, and the humour never lets up. A perfect holiday read for rom-com fans!

A sexy romp through several countries - will Suzie and Charlie work their way through all the difficulties they have thrown up? Funny and enjoyable read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

"Thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the ARC and giving me early access to Sophie and Charlie's story! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Overall Rating: 3.63 ⭐
Spice Rating: 2.75 🌶️
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Subgenre: Romantic Comedy, Holiday Romance, Office/Workplace Romance
Tropes: Secret Identity, Forced Proximity, Holiday Fling
If you’re in the mood for a witty, heartfelt vacation romance with depth and humor, this one opens with a bang. Sophie heads to Mallorca for a sun-drenched getaway with her cousins—a lovable, chaotic group of women who bring real warmth and wild energy to the page. Charlie is in the same resort town for his brother’s stag weekend, surrounded by a much rowdier and less endearing crew. When Sophie and Charlie meet under playful false identities, what begins as a spontaneous connection quickly turns into something harder to shake. Back in London, their worlds collide again—only this time, with more expectations, personal baggage, and real-life consequences.
What Worked
The first half is funny, warm, and full of energy. The vacation setting and group dynamics create a vibrant and immersive start.
Vibrant side characters, especially Sophie’s cousins! They’re hilarious, distinct, and bring heart and chaos in the best way.
Realistic emotional tone and laugh-out-loud moments. Charlie is hilarious.
What Fell Short
The second half loses focus. The pacing slows, and key romantic developments feel rushed or skipped.
The emotional resolution lacks depth. The ending doesn’t quite earn the payoff it’s aiming for.
Some character choices feel thin. Big decisions happen without enough internal reflection or communication.
Overall, Hot To Go is a genuinely enjoyable read with a lot to love: believable characters, real emotional stakes, and more than a few moments that’ll make you laugh out loud. If you enjoy romances where humor and heart go hand in hand, this one’s worth picking up—even if it doesn’t stick the landing entirely."

What an absolutely fun ride this was! It felt like watching the ultimate summer rom-com—cute, hilarious, and full of snappy banter. I was smiling the whole way through.
Serendipity definitely plays a starring role here. It’s all about those unexpected chances that steer you toward love... even if it means creating a fake persona while on holiday.
(Though it does raise a fun question—does Serendipity plan these moments for the ‘fake persona’ or is she clever enough to see through the façade?)
Suzie and Charlie are two teachers who don’t know each other until they serendipitously meet on their separate ‘rebound’ getaways. A twist of fate brings them together, and their chemistry is sweet, spicy, and delightfully carefree—think flirty fun under the European sun.
Once back in the real world, their lives intersect in unexpected ways, and what follows is a warm, heartfelt story of timing, love, and the importance of communication.
I really enjoyed the humour and how genuinely kind and caring these characters were. I rated this two stars because it was fun and entertaining, and I’d happily read more from Kristen Bailey. My only reason for not rating higher is that the narrative style occasionally confused me—there were moments when I wasn’t sure whether the main characters were speaking directly to me or if it was an internal thought. It just pulled me out of the story a couple of times.
That said, it’s still a breezy, feel-good read with plenty of charm.
