What a fun little summer read!! The banter was bantering all the way through!
This was fast paced and dramatic, and a nice little pallet cleanser.
Hot to Go is a story of fate.

Susie and Charlie meet on vacation and have mind blowing s*x. When they return to their real lives, they run into one another again teaching at the same school, and then going on a school trip together.
When they return, they met with Suzie’s ex and her and Charlie go their separate ways again. Only to come back to one another half a year later on a getaway in Paris.
Plot 4/5 ⭐️
Spice 2.5/5 ⭐️
Emotional 3.5/5 ⭐️

Thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the eARC.
Enjoyable rom-com with the added bonus of OMG he is in my breakroom?! Fun.

I really wanted to like this book but I couldnt get through it. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for it, what I did was funny and a typical Kristen Bailey voice so maybe I will pick it up again later.

4.5* rounded up - I think this is the first summer themed romance book I've ever read and I ATE IT UP! There were a few times where I was a little bit confused because some things didn't really match up (hence the missing .5 star) plus I read the word "rizz" way too many times for my liking but it's not that deep in the grand scheme of things really is it? I loved how British this book was, like genuinely, it was a breath of fresh air being able to read things spelled the same way I'm used to <3
I was beaten to the punch by another character when it came to a joke made about the French teacher x Spanish teacher trope - cunning linguists really is the best joke to make though.
I loved this silly little summer rom-com and now I wanna book a holiday - thanks Kristen x

I absolutely love Kristen Bailey's books! She is my favorite rom-com author! This book is no exception. I feel like she must be a teacher herself - she gets the teacher vibe so completely authentically. The two MCs are so lovable and sweet, and their respective families and friends so supportive and funny. Every time I read one of her books I wonder why some director is not jumping on the chance to make a movie from her stories.
I highly recommend this and all her books to readers of rom-com romances.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

A huge thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for providing with an early copy of this book. I always feel special when I receive ARCs.
Listen, I am a summer girl. I love summer, I love hot weather, summer dresses and not dying of cold, so the constant complaining about hot weather completely ruined the start of this book.
…
I’m kidding, of course.
Still, I’m still quite new to rom-coms (despite reading a lot in the last years) but it still feel difficult to enjoy them if I’m not clicking with the characters and this was the case.
I didn’t like them, they were both quite boring and I wasn’t able to connect with them.
I’m really sorry because the premise was quite promising and I loved the cover and the title.
Will I try other books from this author in the future? Maybe.

A summer rom-com with spice and humour.
The vacation ended. The heat didn’t…
Suzie Callaghan a newly single teacher heads to Mallorca for a much-needed holiday with her cousins after a heart-break, hoping for some fun to reset before the new school term begins.
Then the unexpected happens. She meets a mystery man who rescues her when she gets separated from her group during a midnight skinny dip.
But what starts as a steamy holiday romance turns into something more complicated when the mystery man shows up at the school Suzie now works at. It’s her holiday fling and his name is Charlie Shaw, and he’s the new Spanish teacher.
Now they’re stuck pretending they haven’t seen each other naked, both wondering if what they had can exist in real life? But when they’re thrown together again on a school trip to Seville, the heat between them proves impossible to resist.

Unfortunately for me this was a dnf as I just couldn’t get hooked into the story as much as I would have liked. The writing style for the POVs threw me off as the dialogue was very similar and hard to decipher who was who. It felt slow at times and predictable also a little bit cringey but that is just my personal opinion.
However if you’re fans of Emily Henry, Beth O’Leary and Meghan Quinn then this might be the perfect beach read for you!

Thanks to Storm Publishing for the widget. This story was so cute Suzie (FMC) and Charlie (MMC) meet then obviously something happens and they dont see each other but then see each other again. As the book progresses and we learn more about Suzie and Charlie you really get drawn into them because this story is so relatable. Also loved all the side characters they really made the story come alive.

Hot To Go is Kristen Bailey’s latest romance, and she seamlessly weaves new characters into the world of the Callaghan sisters and the school where many of her previous characters work. It’s always fun to read her work because there are cameos from many characters who were featured in her other books. Hot To Go is absolutely hilarious and very heartwarming. I also love how she writes about teachers in an authentic way with so many funny anecdotes of students.
Hot To Go is the story of Suzie and Charlie, who meet in Mallorca on vacation and have a fling. Suzie has been through a traumatic breakup that year, and is escaping her London life with a sunny vacation with her cousins. Suzie and Charlie have amazing chemistry and both are hoping that their fling will turn into something more. They both return to London and are shocked to see each other again in the staff meeting at their new school. They are both teachers in the same department and run into each other often, which is very awkward.
As Suzie and Charlie get to know each other, they realize there is a spark between them and it seems they are fated to be together. They spend a memorable school trip together in Seville, but everything falls apart when they return. Will they make their relationship work once real life sets in back in London?
This story was an emotional roller coaster, but both main characters are genuinely good people who are trying to do the right thing in their lives. I loved their banter and the realistic way their relationship developed when they returned from their vacation in Mallorca. As always, the students and co-workers in the school are very humorous, and the side characters provide even more laughs. I always laugh out loud all the way through Kristen Bailey’s books, and this book was no exception. I’m not a fan of the third-act breakup, and some parts of this book felt very sad to me, but overall I really enjoyed Hot To Go. This book is a perfect summer read, especially for someone who loves humorous romance novels.
The cover of this book says it all. Sun, sand and a great beach read. Download a copy today!
Thank you to Kristen Bailey, Storm Publishing and NetGalley for an advance reader’s copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review. All opinions are my own.

Meet Suzie Callaghan: French teacher, newly single, newly heartbroken. After an awful break-up, she heads to Mallorca for a much-needed holiday with her cousins, expecting sun, sangria, and siestas. She isn’t expecting to fall in love – especially not with the handsome Spaniard who rescues her when she gets separated from her group during an ill-judged midnight skinny dip.
But what starts as a steamy holiday romance built on white lies and mistaken identities turns into something more complicated when “Carlos” shows up at the school she works at. Except his name isn’t Carlos. It’s Charlie Carter, and he’s the new Spanish teacher.
This was hilarious! One night stand with a hot guy turns into a surprise coworker situation? Classic! Trying to make a go of it and revise the passion of that night? Very clunky and awkward, and I"m all here for it! I think the romance was a bit lacking, but the book was great for a laugh!
I received an advanced complimentary digital copy of this book from Netgalley. Opinions expressed are my own.

Oh wow! What a book! I honestly just adored this book. It was hilarious and made me chuckle so many times. The characters were perfect.

This is a very witty book. It was humorous, and truly made me chuckle at times. It was a great beach read, and was a perfect addition to my personal favorites.

If you are looking for an easy laugh out loud summer beach read Hot to Go by Kristen Bailey is the book for you. This book centers around Suzie, a French teacher with a broken heart, who takes a trip with her cousins where she met a good-looking man who ends up rescuing her. Suzie comes home where this man happens to be the new Spanish teacher at her school and what was told on vacation may have been a little white lie. This book is full of drama, comedy and lots of spice. I would make sure to read the content warning before starting this one. 3.5 stars because the miscommunication trope was a little too unbelievable at times in this one but overall, a very enjoyable book.

This story literally has the perfect recipe for a summer book - two people who meet while on holiday, pretending to be someone else just because, you know, what happens in Mallorca, stays in Mallorca etc. And why not? It's all fun if you're both single. Sounds like the best holiday. Especially for Suzie who's just come out of a nasty break-up.
Except, when you return to your regular life - you realize that NOW you also work in the same school. Oops!! And the mysterious holiday identity?! More oops!!!
It's a plot you can't go wrong with if you're looking for a light, breezy, funny, sometimes cheesy in the best of ways romance.
I loved their banter and chemistry that sparkled in the otherwise serious classroom environment. The writing is really good and will make you inwardly cringe with excitement at all the funny commentary and situations.
You know how you always want to take your most interesting girlfriend with you to the beach? The one that will have great new gossip to reveal, or some juicy work stories to share... The one that is easy going and makes you laugh?
That's the one.
This book is exactly like that girlfriend!!
Huge thank you to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for providing me with this exciting ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you Storm Publishing for the copy.
This book is a real Romcom! It was funny, sexy and charming. I really enjoyed the British mannerisms and the dialogue in general.
Suzie’s cousins were one of the biggest highlights in the book.
The third act breakup was a twist I didn’t expect. And as the head of the “third act breakup haters” committee; I actually enjoyed it!
My only criticism is that this book is too long for my liking as a contemporary romance.
I would read again for Kristen Bailey; brilliant work.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in return for my honest review.
This is the perfect summer rom com. I was laughing throughout, a little spice in a few chapters, and just all-around good vibes. The traveling was fun to read about too! I love getting to see those experiences from other's point of view.

This is a fun beach read. There’s a lot of ‘hot’ going on! It had me giggling and blushing. I’m sure glad that I had the ebook - if I’d had an audiobook version I would’ve had to be very careful where I was, when listening to it. (2.5/5 rounded up).
Thank You to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the pre-approved access to read this ARC.

I think it was just fine. I had higher expectations from the blurb, and it didn’t really live up to that.
I found the switching of POVs strange - and usually I’m okay with it - because they sounded so similar in style and structure. It wasn’t always clear if we had Susie or Charlie’s POV because of this, and they weren’t clearly defined enough, which was quite jarring.
Comedy and humour was good, I enjoyed that, and definitely got the British humour and wit, stars for that!
Overall, not a BAD read, it just didn’t grab me like I wanted it to from the blurb.
Thank you for the eARC

When Suzie Callaghan discovers her husband has been cheating on her, she feels like her life is over. In desperate need of an escape from reality, she joins her cousins on trip to Mallorca.
Charlie is on a stag trip for his younger brother, Max, and generally detests the raucous antics of the group, feeling more like the dad.
A chance encounter has Suzie and Charlie meeting but assuming alter-egos, Aurelie and Carlos. A whirlwind vacation romp follows but quickly ends when Charlie has an accident and is unable to meet Suzie.
Fast forward to a new school year and Suzie and Charlie discovering that they are now colleagues. As they try to unsuccessfully rekindle the spark they had in Mallorca, they resign themselves to believing that maybe the magic was only on vacation. A school trip to Seville brings those memories and feelings back, though the couple experiences more highs and lows.
This was an enjoyable read. I loved Suzie’s cousins, especially Lucy and Beth. I don’t always love second (or third) chance romances, but this one was delicious!

Amazing book loved the characters abd plot. I couldn't stop reading I stayed up all night. Ii loved the book so much thank you for the arc.
