Started great. I was so invested in it but then it got weird fast. I deleted it. And I didn’t finish and I don’t recommend.

Thank you Netgalley for the Advanced Reader Copy. This book didn’t grab my attention in the way I thought it would. The characters were not likable so I didn’t really care what happened to them. Also, the writing felt a little choppy. I understand the author was trying to maintain the mystery and suspense but it seemed to fall flat. My curiosity was piqued to see how the story would end but I was not really invested in the story and the end was a little anticlimactic. The lack of character depth was bothersome, which lent to not having any connection with the characters. Even the relationships between Hersh and David as well as David and Gayle did not seem real. There didn’t seem to be a real emotional connection among them. As much as I loved the premise of the story, this book just wasn’t for me.

Thank you, Butterfly Effect Press, for providing the copy of Have You Seen Him by Kimberly Lee. This is a new author for me, and I’m glad I gave this book a try. I loved the premise, and I was hooked from the start on David’s story. At first, it brought The Face On The Milk Carton to mind, but then it took a sinister turn, and the action began! I loved the numerous reveals, and some made me gasp out loud! I won’t give any spoilers, so I won’t ruin it for you. If you love to be kept guessing until the end, and can suspend belief a little about a few events, give this book a try. I enjoyed it and it kept me reading, so I will look for more books by Lee. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
