This book is great for those who want to try different foods from various cultures around the world and want to also try wines that pair well with the foods. Very well done! Love the pics.

This book was a wealth of information. I will definitely recommend this book and can't wait to start pairing my wines with food around the globe.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Very interesting and informative! Not only does this book contain wine and food pairings from a variety of countries, it also includes recipes, maps, information like national drinks and exports, plus some history and culture. Cha McCoy also weaves in anecdotes from her own travels and they make the book that much more engaging. This would be a great addition to my university’s culinary collection, and a very unique and approachable read for wine enthusiasts.

Overall I enjoyed the book. I thought it had a unique perspective by showing how different cultures pair wine. I especially appreciated the focus on Africa and diverse regions to feature and highlight. I liked the intro and the setup for wine pairing terms as well. However I felt the regional sections were too text dense. I found some of it repetitive and wished for more photos of dishes and or wines as a visual aid to break up the page. However I enjoyed the book overall and felt everyone could take away something from it.

Wine Pairing for the People is a unique guidebook where Cha McCoy pairs wines with food (including their recipes) from regions that don't typically produce wine.
This guidebook/cookbook is broken up into the following regions; Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, the US, & Asia. I found the tools such as a flavor wheel, a list of "down for whatever wines", & chill times in the introduction incredibly helpful!
The images are gorgeous and the maps are very helpful to understand the regions. I believe this could be a beautiful coffee table book in addition to being informative for anyone who drinks wine or hosts dinners for others who drink wine.
Thank you to NetGalley & William Morrow for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I am excited about the exploration of wine pairing beyond just European cuisine. The book offers a comprehensive guide on how to evaluate different wines, rather than focusing solely on their origins. The detailed explanations make it an engaging read, and I believe it would make a fantastic addition to any coffee table or a thoughtful gift for friends.
