Rebecca Raisin delivers another enchanting and heartwarming romantic escape with Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express, a festive tale perfect for readers who crave a cozy holiday getaway. The story follows Aubrey, left jilted at the altar just days before Christmas, who decides to embark on her dream honeymoon train alone. Winding through Europe’s picturesque Christmas markets—from Paris to Stockholm and ending in the igloos of Lapland—this journey provides a sumptuous backdrop for romance, laughter, and self-discovery.
Raisin excels at combining humor, charm, and emotional depth. Aubrey’s vulnerability, wit, and growing confidence make her a relatable and endearing heroine, while the chemistry between her and Jasper, the handsome travel journalist, unfolds with a slow-burn tension that keeps readers invested. The ensemble of quirky single travelers—dubbed ‘The Unlucky in Love Travel Club’—adds warmth, lighthearted humor, and a sense of community, making the story feel both intimate and festive.
The novel’s pacing is delightful, with moments of holiday magic, romantic tension, and personal growth carefully balanced. Raisin’s descriptions of the European winter scenery and festive markets are vivid and immersive, evoking the sights, smells, and sounds of the season. Fans of Eliza J. Scott, Sarah Morgan, and Veronica Henry will particularly enjoy this escapist treat, which blends romance, humor, and holiday charm into a truly feel-good read.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A festive, heartwarming, and utterly charming holiday romance that will leave readers smiling long after the final page.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.
I have been a fan of Rebecca Raisin books since the Paris antique shop series, how you will find whatever you need somehow in the shop and it just seemed so magical. This book is not set in Paris, but the magical season of Christmas and on a luxury train - one of my bucket list items to do in future, and as she puts it so aptly, all we need is a murder to make it an Agatha Christie story!
But thankfully, no murders. just lots of unlucky-in-love people finding love, and also getting much friendship being in a small enclosed area for a few days. (not an escape room murder as well phew) I was guessing the horrible groom who ran away from the altar might be waiting at Lapland for her, but luckily he didn't spoil the story by doing that. Instead, you can read the book to follow their travels into some of the magical places in Europe in the Christmas season, and also get some ideas for your own travelling as well! (Maybe you will find love too!)

I've enjoyed the Last Stop On The Winter Wonderland Express a lot. It brought me on a winter adventure around North Europe, among the most famous Christmas markets, on a very hot Summer day.
Aubrey decided to still go on her dream Honey Moon alone after she was jilted at the altar. At the start of her trip she felt extremely lonely and awkward to be on a luxurious train surrounded by happy couples, fortunately along the way she finds a group of good friends.
I loved Aubrey, she is very likeable and determined. I adored how these characters became hopeful, finding a new beginning thanks to each other help and advices.
Rebecca Raisin writing is so smooth and flowing that I think her stories are always too short, because I read them too quickly.

Such a sweet little escape! This story felt like being whisked away on a snowy adventure, full of charm, cozy moments, and a touch of sparkle. Aubrey is instantly relatable, the train setting is magical, and the romance gave me all the warm festive feels. A quick, heart-hugging read that left me content.

I have read many of Rebecca’s books and have never been disappointed. I was very happy to receive an advanced copy of this. Aubrey gets left at the altar by Miles. She decides she is going on the honeymoon she booked for them. She got a great discount on the luxury train journey being a travel consultant. She meets a great crowd when she gets on the train. Princess, who is on her own and has had 3 husbands but isn’t looking for another as she thinks she is cursed. Jasper,an American travel writer who is single after his partner was sick of never seeing him. Karen and CJ are on their own. Sabrina is looking after them all on their journey to Lapland. Aubrey tells them all that Miles has gone, she doesn’t want them to feel sorry for her. Princess takes control of organising them, she takes them on trips and tries to play matchmaker with Aubrey and Jasper. Jasper is very handsome and a lovely person, There is a spark between of 2 of them but Aubrey thinks it’s too early as she should be devastated that she didnt marry. She hasn’t heard from Miles despite leaving many messages. They do and see so much on their journey, Aubrey and Jasper enjoy spending a lot of time on their own. You should read the book and find out all the goings on between all the group and especially Aubrey and Jasper. I enjoyed the book and didn’t want it to end.

Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express felt like stepping into a festive daydream. Rebecca Raisin’s writing has that cozy, comforting quality that makes you want to curl up with a blanket and read it all in one sitting. The story follows Aubrey, who’s left heartbroken at the altar and decides to join a Christmas-themed train journey across Europe with the “Unlucky in Love Travel Club.” I really loved the idea of the train – it’s whimsical and charming, and the descriptions of the stops, from Paris to Lapland, gave me that wanderlust feeling. The side characters were probably my favorite part – quirky, warm, and funny – they made the journey feel even more alive. The romance between Aubrey and Jasper was sweet and gentle, and I liked how it brought some hope back into her story.
That said, there were moments that didn’t land as well for me. Aubrey’s choice to tell people her fiancé had died instead of admitting she was jilted felt unnecessary and made her a little harder to connect with. I also wished some of the locations were explored more – sometimes it felt like we were rushing through these beautiful places instead of really soaking them in. And even though the romance was lovely, it did move a little quickly for someone fresh out of heartbreak.
Overall, though, this was exactly what I wanted from a holiday romance – light, feel-good, and heartwarming. It’s not perfect, but if you’re looking for a cozy read with a touch of travel, friendship, and second chances, this one is a sweet escape.

Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express had a very cozy snowy Christmas vibe and was a great book for people who love to travel. The chemistry between Aubrey and Jasper did feel a bit forced though and felt like it was lacking more depth. Overall a cute book and good for Christmas time!

Oh my my my…Aubrey and Jasper just gave me a serious case of heart eyes, gah I love them!.
After Aubrey is stood up on her wedding day she decides to still go on her honeymoon, to witness all the beautiful places on the Winter Winderland Express tour and by doing so she comes across some wonderful people that she can happily call friends, especially a certain someone named Jasper.
Jasper loves travel, it’s part of his job which has him boarding the Winter Winderland Express as one of the few single people. He’s there to explore and take in all the beautiful sights, what he doesn’t expect is the way his heart beats when his eyes land upon a certain woman.
From their first meet to the last page it’s been exciting watching their friendship grow, to watch them on their adventures and finally start having fun again.
As well as those two we also get a few side characters that were just as loveable and I’m hoping get a story in the future because I reckon a princess story would be hilarious.
I’ve read a few Rebecca Raisin books now and I’ve quickly come to realise that I love her writing, her words and her characters building. The storyline is easily read and I devoured it within the day. I truly hope we get more from these loveable characters in the future.
Last Stop on the Winter Tour Wonderland Express is a cute cosy story about friendships, love and second chances.

What an absolutely delightful holiday romp through Europe! I felt like I was on this delightful train trip right algside the alone Hearts Club, which is good because I'll never afford an actual trip like this!!
I love a good quirky cast of supporting characters and this book delivered in spades! I loved all of them, but for once my favorites were the actual main characters! Though, Princess and Sabrina are a delight and a treasure!
A second chance at love. Ridiculous holiday costumes. A proper Princess! A romance-themed mystery. Magic Mike dance moves! And sparkling, European adventure - what more could you ask for?
You will absolutely want to add this fun read to your holiday TBR for this year! So grab your seat on the Holiday Wonderland Express! And, if you want to grab it early, I sure won't judge!

I found this to be a cozy, quick and enjoyable read.
A train trip to the European Christmas markets sounds like an ideal holiday.

6 stars!! Another wonderful Rebecca Raisin book - this woman never fails. As a die hard Christmas fan, I’m more than happy to get into the festive mood in August (especially for a Rebecca Raisin arc!) and this was just gorgeous. Incredibly likeable characters who you’re rooting for from the beginning, true cosy vibes, and hysterically funny moments. It was also refreshing to read a romance novel that wasn’t filled with spice for a change. Absolutely loved this, and now I need to find a train holiday to mimic the Winter Wonderland Express ❤️ also very hopeful for a second instalment from this group of travellers… Summer in the Cyclades…?

This is the perfect heartwarming Christmas read. I loved the idea of the Wonderland Express and 100% wished I could experience all the activities and stops along the way. The characters were a delight and Princess was the best, a really great read

Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this arc in exchange for an honest review ☺️
This is my 2nd book of hers and already I feel as if Ms. Rebecca and I could be friends. The way she writes, I get her, you know? The wintry, Christmasy vibes were immaculate! I wished I was reading this in December! The train, the staff, the places and the food! It's like I was also aboard with them!🥰
The dialogue was so hilarious! I love the FMC and the side characters as well. Found family is so strong here too. Would you believe there is also a Filipino character and not just a minor one, but a fully fleshed out rich lady character, so different from how Filipinos are normally portrayed abroad. It's so refreshing, especially seeing the terms albularyo, sisig and halo-halo in there 🇵🇭 Also, it's just a funny coincidence that the couple's names are Aubrey and Miles. (if you're Filipino, you would get it😂) I also love that there were also kpop and kdrama references! BTS mentioned? 💜 This book was made for me 😍
The plot at face value might be simple, but I highlighted lots of quotes in here that resonated with me. Aubrey is a free-spirit. Deep down she knew what she wanted, and while it took her a while to realize it, she did get there eventually and with conviction too. I think many would be able to relate to her, especially those who love to travel ☺️
If I were to nitpick, I would say the MMC was a little lacking in terms of character. Yes he is handsome and sweet, but I didn't see any unique personality that might attract the girl beyond his looks and his affinity to travel. So the chemistry for me is not really perfect considering this is kinda insta-lovey. But in terms of their jobs, they make sense. I would've preferred a slower burn though 😅 Overall, I enjoyed this book very much, and I would read anything this author writes 🥰

Enjoyed it. The book is perfect for the holiday season. From the moment Miles stood Aubrey up at the altar, I kept thinking she should make him pay for all the wedding expenses. Such a jerk to not even talk to her and ignore all her phone calls. She deserved to hear from him. It's not Aubrey who Miles should be worried about, but her sister Rox. The horse laxatives were genius. Loved Catty Roan, who was the perfect kitty for Rox. I would definitely love to take the Winter Wonderland Express and visit all those places. The trip sounded amazing. Loved getting to wander around the Christmas markets in Paris, Bruges, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm and finally stopping in Lapland. Swimming in the ice cold, freezing water would not be my ideal activity. Then again, Aubrey had Jasper to warm her up. What a better way to get over your fiancé who jilts you at the altar. Find a sexy travel journalist who adores you. The Winter Wonderland Express plans to do a reverse trip after the holidays are over. Would people actually enjoy this since Christmas is over and that's the whole theme of the train? Are the markets still open? I enjoyed everyone in the Unlucky in Love Travel Club. Aubrey was lucky to make such amazing friends on the trip. Then there's Princess. No one can forget her, plus Princess would never allow it. She was very generous and always included everyone. All the travelers can't be mad about Miles not actually being dead. Aubrey tried to tell them over and over and nobody believed her. Then there's Sabrina. She's wonderful at her job when they don't have her wearing oversized outfits and dressed as a gingerbread man, Christmas tree or a reindeer with a tail.
Definitely recommend the book. It's a cute story and the perfect holiday read. I enjoyed the story, characters and writing style. It was to wander through all the cities and visit the Christmas markets. I can definitely see the book being made as a Hallmark Christmas movie. Look forward to reading more books by the author.

Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express
by Rebecca Raisin
I began reading *The Winter Wonderland Express* just days after my sister and I had an inspiring conversation about planning an adventurous train trip across Europe for 2027. This book has sparked something in me, especially after I realised how much I yearned for a story that perfectly captured the magic of winter travel. As someone who spends Christmas in the sunny heat of Australia, I find myself drawn to holiday-themed romances that evoke thoughts of enchanting, snowy landscapes, elegant train journeys, and heartwarming love stories.
In the novel, we follow the journey of Audrey, a woman whose plans take an unexpected turn when she is stood up at her wedding. Rather than succumb to despair, she decides to embrace her independence and embark on her honeymoon alone. This bold decision kickstarts her adventure aboard the Winter Wonderland Express, where she meets a diverse group of fellow passengers, each with their own stories and quirks. Together, they explore Europe’s enchanting Christmas markets, rich with festive lights and delicious seasonal treats, and venture north to the magical, snow-covered landscapes of Lapland.
Among the captivating characters, one of my favourites is Princess, a spirited fellow traveller who quickly becomes a close friend to Audrey. Their bond grows as they share laughter, heartwarming moments, and unforgettable experiences during this winter journey, reminding us all of the power of friendship and new beginnings in unexpected circumstances.

This was a fun, quirky romance set on a winter train excursion shortly after Christmas. A unique winter experience that was really enjoyable!
Aubrey's fiance dumps her just before their wedding - she's unsure about taking the honeymoon trip alone, but it's something she's wanted for so long and decides to go. Once on board the train, she inadvertently leads everyone to believe that her new husband is dead. She makes a fun group of friends that spend their trip together, including Jasper a travel journalist she has sparks with. It's a cute, sweet story and I enjoyed this book!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

A funny holiday and cute rom-com, second chances at love and quite a boost after a huge letdown in love. Wholesome and fun, I loved all the quirkiness and over the top holiday swag on this fabulous train ride. A bit predictable, but that's okay when all you want in a holiday book is a feel good story where there is happily ever after. Light and breezy, this is a great pick for a cosy read this Christmas. Many thanks to #BoldwoodBooks, #rebeccaraisin #laststopont hewinerwonderlandexpress for the chance to read and review this book.

Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express by Rebecca Raisin is a wonderful, enjoyable, cozy story of finding friendship and love while traveling abroad. This was the perfect book for an escape, full of love, second chances, great destinations and quirky people you will fall in love with.
After Aubrey is jilted on her wedding day, a few days before Christmas, her longed for luxury honeymoon must be dealt with. Feeling confused and heart-broken, she decides to take the ten day romantic train ride alone. She does not want anyone there to know she has been jilted, so she implies her ‘husband’ is gone; and the sympathy flows from those around her. She quickly discovers she is not the only one alone as there are a number of single people on the trip. This group of sad lonely hearts bond and draw close. They pitch the name of their group as The Unlucky in Love Travel Club. The book follows each of their stops on the train journey and it’s hard to not be jealous of this trip; a trip with stops in Paris, Stockholm and ending in Lapland staying in an igloo gazing up at the Northern Lights.
What follows is an interesting exploration of how people deal with grief, heartbreak and disappointment. Plus wonderful friendships are made in their moments of need. I loved the antics that a Princess, a wealthy widow, brought to the group; as they visited, explored, and played tourists at each of the stops. This journey also brings love into the lives of some members of The Unlucky in Love group; including Audrey. A certain travel journalist named Jasper is full of surprises and their friendship blossoms into something more but it is a slow dance with romance for these two.
This fun, moving, uplifting story contains wonderful resolutions, about choosing joy after disappointment, finding friendship in strangers, and letting someone in, even when your heart feels broken beyond repair.
It teaches that although your life may not go as planned and you could end up on a different path than expected, the detour could lead to glorious surprises, endearing friendships and unexpected soul-mate love. As Audrey finds out, everything happens for a reason. I truly enjoyed this unforgettable ride, with well described settings; transporting me to each location on route.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I was sent this wonderful Christmas themed book from @lovebookstours and as soon as I started reading this I knew it was going to be a good read. Loved the setting and the characters, Aubrey and Sabrina being my favourite♥️. It was well written and had lots of detail and whilst reading I actually thought I was on the winter wonderland express myself, would love to sounds absolutely amazing😍. The places they visited and the food and drinks they drank just sound beautiful. Perfectly set and well written. So glad Aubrey got what she rightly deserved.
