Aubrey is left at the altar by her fiance Miles without an explanation. Her sister Rox is ready to handle him, but Aubrey decides to let him be and board the Winter Wonderland Express, which was their honeymoon destination.

This book was full of so many wonderful characters, each with their own stories and all united by jilted love. I had so many laugh out loud moments with Sabrina, the gingerbread woman, and train welcomer. Jasper, the love interest was just perfect, and thanks to Princess and all her occurrences, it all came together neatly. My favorite part was how unsuccessful their Unlucky in Love Travel Club was. And how everyone had their own idea of how Miles had "passed."

Christmas and romance, my two favourite things! Firstly, that cover art is so cute, I would immediately pick this off a shelf seeing that, it pretty much depicts my dreams, the aurora, being cosy while there is snow outside; bliss!
I absolutely love the idea of the winter Wonderland train, what a brilliant way to explore and celebrate Christmas festivities, it all sounded wonderfully magical!
Then we meet the characters, I laughed along with Rox and her absolutely mad view of life, Princess is absolutely one of a kind, what an interesting woman! Jasper, sigh, I don't know that there's good enough words to tell you about my newest book boyfriend Jasper here, swoon is probably an apt word. I loved the idea of his, and Aubrey's jobs and travel, it sounded super exciting. Of course we met some other less featured but no less interesting characters and they all played a really important part in the story. Aubrey is the lead female character through all this and at the start I was absolutely heartbroken for her, but as she boarded the train and met these people, she healed a little more at each stop, until she realised that settling for less than perfect for you, is no life at all. What a great moral for us all, life doesn't need to match what others may think is right for you, its what makes your heart happy.
This is a beautiful winters read and I would love to see some of these characters reunited again in a future story somehow!

Aubrey is excited for her wedding and of the honeymoon that she and her future husband would go in. But at the last minute, Aubrye was dumped by her fiance. She was heartbroken but that didn't stop her to go to her own honeymoon. The honeymoon was the luxury winter train from England, passing all European cities from Paris to Stockholm. As Aubrey boards the train, she realizes that she wasn't the only singleton in the train--and together they form a club called Unlucky in Love Travel club. Now Aubrey have a fun time with them and couldn't help but notice the handsome travel journalist Jasper as well.

I like reading all Rebecca Raisin's story as it gives heartwarming vibes. This was also a funny book as there were some funny parts in the book that will make you laugh out loud. I enjoyed mainly about the sceneries as they travel through Europe--from Paris, Hamburg visiting Christmas markets, to Copenhagen to Stockholm. I also liked how the chemistry between Aubrey and Jasper developed and the friendship between Sabrina, Princess and Aubrey.

Overall this is a funny, heartwarming story and will give five stars.

This is a gorgeous feel good story about friendship, love and all things Christmas.
I’m a huge fan of all things Christmas and the trip on The Winter Wonderland Express sounded perfect. What’s not to like about travelling onboard a gorgeous train and stopping at festive cities every day.
I thought the characters on board were so good - each of them had their own reasons for being on board and very quickly I fell for all of the Unlucky In Love travel group. Their camaraderie and support for each other was perfect. Aubrey has not had it easy and I could understand her trepidation of being a ‘singleton’ on a romantic train journey but she’s soon gathered up by Princess - my favourite character - and it’s nonstop from then on. Romance is obviously not on the cards after being jilted but the chemistry between Aubrey and Jasper is obvious and I loved seeing their friendship grow. This story made me laugh and have a few tears as I was swept up in the magic of the train and the cities visited.

Left at the altar just days before Christmas, Aubrey takes her honeymoon trip alone — a snow train winding through Europe, filled with strangers, secrets, and maybe even the spark of new romance. To avoid the pitying looks, she claims to be a widow… a little white lie that brings more complications (and laughs) than she expects.
This adventure is every bit as cozy as the cover promises, brimming with Christmas charm. Even reading during a summer heatwave, I could feel the crunch of snow under boots, see the twinkling lights, and smell the sweetness of hot cocoa. A heartwarming holiday escape that I would love to reread before the winter holidays.
Even if I loved very much the cozy vibes and the traveling, I still found some parts a little bit stretched and for that I gave it only 3 stars.

Audrey gets stood up at the altar and decides that instead of feeling sorry for herself, she’s going to go ahead and take the honeymoon she planned by herself to recover, except she finds herself amongst a band of other solo travelers so she doesn’t have to be alone. But the real fun is in all the characters she meets in the train-they grow on you so much and think she is widowed so they feel sorry for her and take her under their wing while they’re on their way to Lapland, which is a bucket list destination for me, so that adds something to the story because along the way they make stops and it all sounds lovely. There’s loads of witty dialogue and the setting along the way at each of the stops, and even on the train made me want to take the trip with Audrey and then by then end you’re in an igloo looking at the Northern Lights! Sign me up!
This was another delight from Rebecca Raisin and I can’t wait for her next one.

My thoughts
Rebecca Raisin writes the most enchanting escapist novels and this one did not disappoint. A delightful escape on a magical train journey along with quirky characters weaving their way through beautiful European cities. A cozy Christmas read with humor, romance and fantastic descriptions of European food and Christmas traditions that make this a fantastic holiday read!

Rebecca Raisin writes wonderful books sprinkled with magic. Not just 'magic' magic, but also the magic of everyday life - how you always end up exactly where you should be, even if the journey is not at all scenic and breaks your heart.
I read this cosy Christmas rom-com in the middle of summer, but I was instantly transported (see what I did there) to the time of eggnog, snowmen, and reindeer. The time taken to give the readers all the sensory detail they need to feel fully immersed in a particular time and location is one of the things I always really enjoy about Rebecca's books. The setting of a rail holiday is perfect; there's so much romanticism in imagining rattling along tracks through snow-capped mountains, snug and toasty in your train. If there isn't someone out there providing a luxury experience like this already, then that needs to be rectified immediately. I want it to exist!
The cast of characters aboard the train is eclectic to say the least, and they are all so deeply fleshed out that I could see them all - we all need a friend like Princess, that's for sure. The dialogue is sharp and funny as well as being heartfelt and sometimes sad. Although this story is far-fetched and fairy-tale-like, it stays on the right side of adult enjoyment; it's never twee. It's like a perfect Christmas movie - you know it's not real life, but it's fun to immerse yourself in it from the comfort of your sofa, snuggled under a blanket.
Like all of Rebecca's books that I have read, this is a warm hug when you want to remember the wonder of the world.

This was the feeling I want during the Christmas season.
A hallmark movie wrapped in pages.
This book is what I want in the Christmas time and the lead up to it.
I want to take the winterwonderland express visit multiple Christmas markets and end up in Lapland with the northern lights.

And all the side characters added there own personal touch I was rooting for them all.
They named themselves the unlucky in love travel club.
And to find out if they can turn this around was just the most pleasurable treasure hunt.

I was hooked and didnt want it to end.
I really want them to have an entire series off the unlucky in love travel club.
All the characters found a place in my heart and that’s really though to do.
The author really really put her heart in this story and I can’t wait to see where else she goes.

I had great hopes for this book but sadly it didn’t meet my personal expectations. While some parts were cute and fun , other were just not. Was quite dull if I’m being honest. This is why I’m rating it 2* and won’t be publishing this review on goodreads or Amazon.

Rebecca Raisin is the queen of romantic tales. This book is no exception. She has also coupled my love for Christmas, tripled with my love for travelling and quadrupled my interest with her quirky characters. I love Princess and Rox, 2 kick-ass females who go after what they want with no apologies and love fiercely.

This book has a lot of themes such as rejection, community, second chances and being yourself. But the biggest one has to be different relationships. We see characters sabotaging themselves out of fear, being too picky with deal breakers, smothering their other halves with love, or settling for fear they can't do any better. Almost everyone who reads this book will be able to relate to one or more characters' love lives!

As always, the thing that gets a 4.5 or 5 star review for a romance book is when it has irresistible banter or a good community feel. I missed this book as soon as I finished it, as I was not going to hear any more from the fiercely loyal Rox, Quirky energy-ball Princess, Bubbly Sabrina or the other members of the Unlucky In Love Travel Club. It really was a lovely supportive and funny mix of personalities.

Obviously loved the happy ending and the friendship group built on the train but the travel aspects came across a little forced. Thought it was hilarious how Miles' death got so exaggerated. Some strong characterisation and now I want to do a Winter Wonderland Express trip!

Instead of starting her life with her new husband, Aubrey finds herself left at the alter when Miles changes his mind and disappears, just before Christmas too.
Being a very keen traveler and in the travel business she had managed to find a wonderful Christmas themed honeymoon for the both of them on the Winter Wonderland Express which travels across Europe and ends up in Lapland for Christmas Eve.
Aubrey decides she can’t miss out on such an amazing trip and goes by herself. She meets an amazing group of people, some very loved up couples but also some single people too and travels with them all across Europe.

This is a fun festive read, with colourful characters and great friendships and of course some romance thrown in too.

It was July/August when I read it (slightly melting with the fan on) but once the colder weather sets in I can see this being a great festive read and stocking filler.

3.5 stars. This is a light, cute holiday based story that centers around a woman who just got left at the altar. When she goes on her honeymoon alone, she is seated and thrown in with a small group of singles on a train full of over the top lovey dovey couples. Aubrey and her new friends alternate between fun activities on the stops of the train and trying to figure out which of the couples is on the outs.

The characters are fun and there are several romances going on in this fun-filled book.

It's a perfect book to snuggle up with! This is an enchanting heartwarming story that can be read during winter or anytime, really! Once you start it, you will continue until you finish.

In true Rebecca style, you instantly connect with the characters. As you read, you want to be on the train, having this adventure of a lifetime.

I loved this book, and I really hope there is a summer sequel, sailing around the Cyclades!

It's always a wonderful pleasure to be reeled into a book right from the start. "Last Stop on the Winter Wonderland Express" is a cozy, heartwarming, entertaining Christmas-themed chicklit with fun, witty dialogues. Ideal to escape and unwind. Very pleasant writing style too!

When Aubrey suffers the greatest humiliation at the alter she decides to go on her honeymoon alone without Miles who is still among the missing.
On arrival at the wonderland express she might have accidentally allowed the staff to think instead of being the jilted bride she was recently widowed. Of course this spreads like wildfire and gathers wings. She meets more singletons in the train and they form an exclusive club leaning on each other and as she gets to know a travel journalist she wonders if she’s not as unlucky as she thought.
Brilliant book loved it!

An excellent book by Rebecca with loveable characters and beautiful narratives making it a heart warming early seasonal read.
