An absolutely incredible read. It had me hooked from page 1, and that is hard to do. I was NOT at all prepared for the plot twists at the end, every one of them took me by complete surprise (which is also hard to do.) I was so hooked, k finished the book in about five hours 😂 would absolutely recommend to everyone I know!

Jack Dane's simple writing style made this a quick read. The tension builds throughout the story, Although things could have escalated faster, this book was still a page turner. I would have liked to have more background information on the neighbors. Overall, I enjoyed this suburban domestic thriller. 3.5 stars

Thank you NetGalley and Xpresso Book Tours for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Net Galley and Jack Dane for the ARC

Nicki and Noah move from the bustling city to the quiet and idealistic suburb life with more privacy and space, or so they think ...

They discover suspicious objects and strange events continuously occur, until it is eventually revealed their neighbors aren't who they seem.

Loved the pace of the book and the eerie and suspenseful mood carried throughout.

Enjoyed the twists revealed at the end, but wish more background information was revealed about the neighbors.

Such Lovely Neighbors was such a wild ride—I couldn’t stop reading! It starts off like your typical quiet suburban story, but things take a dark turn fast. Every time I thought I had it figured out, another twist came out of nowhere.

The characters are shady in the best way, and the whole “perfect neighborhood” vibe was super creepy and fun to unravel. Jack Dane nailed the suspense and totally kept me guessing. If you love thrillers with secrets, lies, and drama behind closed doors, definitely add this to your TBR!

I finished this book so fast! It was good, and the ending was crazy. I can usually guess what's going to happen but my jaw was on the floor. The book reminded me very much of the first purge movie.

Such Lovely Neighbors was an easy, quick read, but overall it left me feeling unsatisfied. The story was weird….intriguing at first, but it never really gave a clear explanation for what was going on. It leaned heavily into a strange cult-like vibe in the neighborhood, but without much depth or payoff. It had potential, but just didn’t deliver for me.

THANK YOU NET GALLEY FOR YHE ADVANCED COPY OF THIS BOOK!

I received an arc copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. Nikki and her husband Noah leave the city and buy their dream home in the suburbs. As soon as they move in, the neighbors keep coming over with treats and welcoming them to the neighborhood. They both feel like they are truly home until strange noises in the night and other crazy things are going on. I couldn't put this book down as it was so fast paced. However, it got to be so far fetched and crazy at the end that I kept waiting for her to wake up from a nightmare.

This was a bit bizarre in a good way. I read it in one sitting, and I didn't see the big twist coming (although it was a bit out of the blue). I'm going to keep reading books by Jack Dane.

Thank you to NetGalley and Back Alley Press for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A couple in their 30s trades in their NYC apartment for a beautiful home in the suburbs where they are welcomed with open arms and copious desserts. The sweet beginning though sours quickly and the tension builds as one mysterious thing after another keeps happening. Is it just their imagination, coincidence, or are their neighbors into something darker than they can imagine?

I was in the mood for a thriller, and this one hit the spot. It does stretch credulity quite a bit, but it’s a fun read with a quality twist in the end.

I always end up accidentally reading about a cult? This book was quick and snappy but REALLY good. I normally hate predictability and can also guess the twists and turns but no this book. This book left my on edge of my seat, just when I thought I knew what was going on- every thing changed.

An excellent read.

This wasn’t my first Jack Dane thriller and it won’t be my last. I got to read this novel as an ARC and leave this review voluntarily.

I love a fast paced, tension holding story that makes me tell myself “just one more chapter” every time I have to put it down.
Hooking me from the first page and surprising me with great twists this novel was just what I needed for a hot summer day. Definitely recommend picking up a copy when it comes out!

Welcome to the neighborhood… First-time homeowners Nikki and Noah Anderson are delighted to find an affordable starter home within commuting distance of NYC., The neighborhood is absolutely adorable, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Between potlucks and white picket fences, it’s an idyllic suburban dream. Or is it? Because something feels…off. The neighbors smile a little too much. There are strange sounds in the night. And then there’s the pair of wedding rings they find buried in their backyard… The suburbs have their share of dark secrets, too. And by the time Nikki and Noah realize it, it might already be too late! Wow! Very different! I thought this book was going to be a bit odd? Or a bit corny? But boy was wrong. I freaking loved it! It’s definitely a bit different. It had great suspense, murder, mystery, intrigue, and then bam right at the end of fabulous jaw dropping twist! The storyline was very interesting. I highly recommend reading this book. Thank you, NetGalley, and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

That Prologue... Wow!! Just, wow!! If that wasn't enough to suck you in, then I don't know what would.

Noah and Nikki decide to move to the suburbs to an idyllic neighborhood. Things quickly take a turn, and they suddenly start to fear for their lives.

This book was such a quick, easy read that I just didn't want to put down. Check it out! You won't be disappointed!

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion/review.

Thank you for the ARC. Jack Dane has a simplistic writing style which makes his books a pretty quick read. However, I feel like the prologue was misleading. There really wasn’t much psych thrill for me. Also why did they choose Nikki? That wasn’t explained. A couple of the twists were decent and I didn’t see them coming.

This book had me sucked in from the dang prologue!!

Nikki and Noah move out to the suburbs in hopes of a quieter and slower pace of life. Little did they know their neighborhood was filled with people who had horrible secrets.

If you think you've got this book figured out....you don't, promise!

This is a hands down must read!!

This was a quick and engaging read. I enjoyed the characters and the suspense was great. The ending had a twist that I didn't see coming. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!

This book was so good!! If you think you have it figured out, I’m gonna go ahead and tell ya that you don’t. My jaw dropped numerous times!!

Who doesn’t love a twisted suburban thriller!?
This is the first book I’ve read from Jack Dane, and I will 100% be reading his others!

Nikki and her husband Noah move from the noisy bust streets of NYC to a small suburban cul de sac neighborhood in hopes of a quiet life to start a family in the future. The neighbors are all so friendly and inviting. But almost TOO friendly??

I absolutely recommend this book!

OMG!!! Jack Dane is the master of truly dark and evil psychological thrillers. I loved the premise for Such Lovely Neighbors, but even that did not do the story justice. Jack wove twist after twist and shock after shock at the most precise moments.

Welcome to the neighborhood!! Nikki and Noah move from the city to a large house in the suburbs. The neighborhood is everything they could have imagined and more. Having left her best friend, Emma behind in the city, Nikki mixes right away with the neighbors hoping to meet a friend like she had in Emma. She soon discovers not everything is as perfect as it seems. Everyone is a little too perfect, a little too happy. When bizarre events start happening and the neighbors all turn on her, Nikki must fight to get out alive.

This was such a crazy good plot and I had chills from the start. There were so many gasp out loud moments including the unimaginable ending. I tore through the pages as fast as I could, needing to know the outcome. This is my favorite by Jack Dane so far.

Thanks to Netgalley and Back Alley Press for the advanced copy
