I LOVED THIS BOOK! Jes Baker's Things No One Will Tell Fat Girls is a breath of fresh air in the world of body positivity, and it will make you laugh, cry, and cheer for yourself. With her trademark wit, no-nonsense approach, and unwavering commitment to body love, Baker challenges society’s damaging narratives about fatness and invites everyone to join the body-positive revolution.

This book is a love letter to self-acceptance, and it’s filled with wisdom about how to break free from the oppressive standards of beauty and size. From practical advice on changing your mindset to empowering messages about embracing who you are right now, Baker delivers essential lessons about self-worth, mental wellness, and rejecting body-shaming.

Things No One Will Tell Fat Girls is a must-read for anyone—fat or not—looking to transform their relationship with their body, their worth, and their mindset. It’s a rallying cry for unapologetic living and self-love that has the potential to change lives.

I really wish past me had had this book, especially high school me. This book was marketed as adult; however, after reading it I feel like it could absolutely be shelved within Teen, as it tends to read in a YA tone - minus the abundance of cursing. ;P Jes makes a lot of good points throughout the book, and I especially enjoyed the little challenges she has sprinkled throughout the chapters (there are some I still need to try; like wearing a bikini).

There was much to enjoy here, but I found I couldn't connect with it. I'd read more from this author in the future though.
