I loved this book from start to finish and could not put it down. The edginess and intensity made it impossible for me to put it down! I can't wait for the next book in the series!!!!

4.25stars- ICE COLD LIAR is the fourteenth instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult ICE BREAKER COLD CASE romantic suspense series focusing on a group of men and women who work for Ice Breakers, a former online team of crime solvers whose goal it is to solve cold cases. This is former CIA operative Ebenezer ‘Eb’ Jones, and Naomi Romano’s story line. ICE COLD LIAR can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Eb and Naomi) ICE COLD LIAR follows in the wake of the murder of Eb’s former CIA partner Hudson Wyatt. Married only a few hours, Hudson Wyatt was found murdered , and his new wife was the prime suspect but there was not enough evidence, and the DA never pressed charges, therefore Ebenezer Jones was determined to get justice for his friend and partner Hudson Wyatt, targeting Naomi Romano himself. From the outset , Ebenezer struggled to trust or believe Naomi’s proclamation of innocence but when our heroine is targeted, Ebenezer become guardian and protector of the woman with whom he is falling in love.

The world building focuses on Naomi’s struggle to prove she is innocent, and Ebenezer’s need to seek justice for the friend whom he lost but all was not as it appeared to be-someone was taking aim at our story line heroine. With the help of Ice Breaker investigators Hunter McQueen and Memphis Camden, Eb is determined to uncover the truth but a deep dive asks more questions than answers, and our couple find themselves at the mercy of a potential killer.

The relationship between Eb and Naomi begins acrimoniously as Eb is single-minded in his need to take down our story line heroine but, once again, there is something about Naomi that calls to his heart, and his inability to trust, threatens the life of the woman with whom he is falling in love. The $ex scenes are passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.


There is a large ensemble cast of energetic, dynamic and often questionable secondary and supporting characters from law enforcement, organized crime, and an embattled MC including Ice Breaker agents Memphis Camden, and former US Army Ranger Hunter McQueen; CIA Handler Madeline Desalt; and Detective Clark Anderson. The requisite evil has many faces.

ICE COLD LIAR is a story of secrets and lies, power and control, betrayal and vengeance, obsession and murder, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is dramatic and edgy but I suspected the who and why of the guilty party(s) early on; the romance is spirited; the characters are stubborn and determined.

Another great Ice Breakers filled with action, suspense, hot romance and a surprise villain. Wen Naomi is accused of killing her husband and no one believes her, Eb, her husbands best friend, shows up to prove she did it! Did she do it? Read the book.

When I read the end of Forbidden Ice, I could not wait until Eb got his story! Funny how a "law man" doesn't look at the clues and facts but reacts on his preconceived belief that Naomi killed her husband, Hudson, his CIA partner. But not surprising when Eb first saw her and realized she was his but could not even meet her, must have been devastating when his partner snatched her up.

There are so many twists and turns in this book that I don't want to give away any spoilers and ruin the book! Nothing is as it seems and you keep guessing and boy was I wrong - so was Eb.

This book was so engaging that I could not put it down and had to read it through to get to the end and hope for an HEA - lots of action, drama, intrigue, and so, so many secrets revealed along the way. Sure hope that the next book is with Hunter!

So good! All the spice with twists and turns. I was guessing the villain until the very end all while rooting for their HEA. Such a great story! I can’t wait for the next one in this series!

I've liked Cynthia Eden's books before and I liked this too. This is a fast-paced romantic suspense book full of twists and turns, romance, steam and plot twists I didn't see coming.

This is actually part 14 of a series, but works as a stand alone. I haven't read the previous parts of this series, but I definitely will!

WHAT I LIKED: I liked the romance of course! And there was so much action that there was no dull moments. It was easy to read and difficult to put down!

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE: Somehow the main characters felt a bit distant, maybe because of the 3rd person pov's.

Ice Breaker Cold Case Romance, number 14, is just as exciting, suspenseful and steamy as the first book in this series. Ice Cold Liar by Cynthia Eden is a true play on words. Ebenezer “Eb” Jones is positive that Naomi Romano is a killer, now he wants revenge. He is ready to lie to get to the truth but is she a liar? Perhaps he has it all wrong.

I enjoy reading where a cocky strong male may need to apologize before a book is over. So who is the guilty party in this story? One edge of the seat book with suspense and romance where everyone is suspected until the guilty is caught. Danger is around every corner. The attraction and chemistry is hot, making the danger even greater, it seems. Ice Cold Liar is written as only Cynthia Eden can.

Eb and Naomi will tug you in and not let go. Full of action and suspense comes a story you can't put down. The romance is sexy. There's a lot of humor to go with the intense mystery. You will see some of your favorite characters. The best part was it kept me guessing right up to the reveal. I loved the ending.

Just who is the Ice Cold Liar. So many choices in this novel. I guess that's what you get when you throw the CIA into the mix. Got to say that I didn't see it coming though. Way to go, catching me off guard like that.
Ice Cold Liar is a very good book. With a lot of twist and turns that I didn't see coming.

FINALLY the book with Eb !!

I'm a huge fan of this series and of course, after having Marley and Jacob books, I obviously needed the book about their brother : Eb !

And I LOVED IT !

The plot was full of tension and incredibly twisted (I had doubts about the culprit's identity, but I wasn't expecting all the twists and turns and revelations !), the romance was addictive (I loved how Eb tries to resist ... And all the angst when Naomie learns some of his secrets =D), the characters were great (I especially loved Naomie, who remained so strong despite everything she's been through !), and of course, a special mention for Henry <3

In short, a suspense romance that I devoured way too quickly ! For fans of suspense romances, I recommend this book and the entire series !

PS: I SO need a book with Hunter ><

So many secrets! Twisty, windy and so engaging….I couldn’t put it down. The plot was fast paced and the characters pull you in. I love this series!

If there’s one author who knows how to hook a reader from the very first page, it’s without a doubt Cynthia Eden. I should be used to it by now, but I’m still surprised at how her books become literal literary drugs 😅 it honestly feels like there’s crack in these pages because I just can’t stop reading!

Throughout the entire story, I kept questioning who was telling the truth and who wasn’t and that psychological tension was so well done that it kept me glued to the book from beginning to end!

Naomi completely won me over what a fantastic character! Super sassy, with a bold personality and a sharp sense of humor that adds an irresistible touch to the story. The banter between her and Eb? Absolutely delicious and had me laughing out loud more than once! And their chemistry? Pure perfection!

I especially loved the unique trait the author gave Naomi something I’ve never seen explored in a book and which makes the narrative even more powerful (no spoilers, but it’s important and handled with such care!). And of course, Henry is the most adorable pup! 🐶

As for Eb… I already fell for his brother in the previous book, but Eb definitely stole the “book boyfriend” title. His unconventional way of being, the respect he showed for Naomi’s individuality, and the way he gradually revealed layers of his past I was completely smitten!

Cynthia Eden once again proves why she’s a must-read author for anyone who loves romantic suspense.
And yes, I’m already counting down the days for Hunter’s happily ever after!

A liar for a liar....

This is Ebenezer's story. In the last book, we met his twin brother, now its Eb's turn. And if Cynthia Eden can make a leading man with the name Ebenezer smokin' hot, then she can do anything. And she succeeds. Not only is Eb hot, hot for Naomi, who he thinks pulled a Karen Reed, and got away with murder, she takes a stone cold liar and makes him HOT.

This is a complex, complicated story, as it has to be with spies, double crosses and liars.
Naomi and Eb are more anti-heroes and it works cuz they are cut from the same cloth.
Recommend.

The Wicked Widow!!

He saw her first but Ebenezer Jones didn’t get the girl. This spiraled so far out of control that it makes you dizzy.

Naomi and Eb have explosive chemistry but he thinks she killed his partner. He’s there to prove she did it but the more he’s around her the more he believes otherwise.

An Ice Breaker case that has you guessing to the end. The monsters are never who you think they are. He’s a master at deception. She’s just trying to survive.
This is my favorite series by this author and every story just gets better than the last. Grab this one now!!
