I couldn’t wait to start this after loving the first book in the series and It didn’t disappoint.

Freya lives in London and has a great career and a steady partner, however when her Dad has a nasty fall she has to drop everything and go back to Skye. She soon begins to fall back in love with the area and makes new friends, connections and inspirations while realising that some parts of her life in London were not as good as she hoped.

I enjoyed hearing about characters from the previous book but the focus was mainly on Freya and Mackenzie and I loved how their relationship developed. I also enjoyed seeing the love between Freya and her Dad and how their relationship changed and strengthened as they began to understand each other.

A brilliant feel good book I would definitely recommend and I can’t wait for the next one in the series.

Thanks to NetGalley, Lilac Mills and Canelo for an advance copy in exchange for an honest be unbiased review.

ooooooooooo!
we are back with Lilac and back with no.2 in this series. i breathed through the first and many other of Lilacs books. the first was on my instant fives and it still sits there. i feel so lucky i get to read book two. except my only fear now is what if i dont get the third!?
but yes, this was just as beautiful as the first. the two characters we mainly follow hold their space well and keep you tense and loved up all at the same time. you are with them, you care for them and you want them to be ok...preferably together yes!
Lilac has a way of writing books that have the balance of every single things you want from a book. every single thing i could want and need she gives. to top tier standards. i think and im not afraid to say that she is bring up my all time favourite authors. it makes me a little emotional in fact when i think of just what my favourites bring to my world with their work. and work these books are. its inspiring and beautiful and i feel lucky to read them.
i thought thought Tara and Calan could not be beaten from the first books(oh and his little girl). but Lilac has of course worked her magic and made me fall for these pair just as much. it was also lovely to be back in the magical craft centre and castle and to see a different type of work come to the fore.
from the cover to the entire way through this book is superb. and we are lucky to have people with such gifts bring is our gifts in their books.
