After the way the previous book ended, we knew Charley would not get a break. At this point, I’d just tie up any newcomers so that could you preempt whatever terrible thing they are bringing to town. Sadly, that’s not the case here.

This book gives us tons and tons of Samuel’s mysterious backstory, but we need to be faced with impending doom in the form of vampire retaliation for it to come to light. There’s an underground fight club, a poison in the blood commune’s supply, and some very strange developments with Charley’s powers. Throw in some sizzling time in a dungeon and you’ve got yourself a jam-packed installment here.

The gang really rallies together to a greater degree to support their resident bar owner and her boyfriend vampire. Oh - and we get some good development with Charley’s resident waitstaff! All of this made for a pretty satisfying and exciting book. Poor Charley and Samuel could use a vacation though. Maybe next book?

a standalone , although reading the previous books would give a reader a clearer view of the main characters

This is another great read from the Author , fast paced , full of mystery and suspense ,with moments of snarky humour ,
it's a real page turner from the first page to the last . I look forward to reading more Charley books in the future

I picked up Bloodlust Shadows expecting suspense, mystery, humor, and a reunion with characters I’ve truly come to love. And it delivered on every count—reminding me exactly why the Charley Underwood series has become one of my favorites.

Bloodlust Shadows continues the Charley Underwood series, and slipping into this book felt like sliding into a familiar booth at my favorite hangout—comfortable, exciting, and full of energy. The atmosphere carried the same charm I’ve come to love from the earlier books, with sharp, witty banter and characters who feel like old friends.

What I enjoy most about this series is how effortlessly it blends humor, heart, and suspense. This installment didn’t disappoint. With relatable characters, a scintillating mystery, and all the supernatural small-town drama you could want, Bloodlust Shadows delivered exactly the kind of reading experience that keeps me coming back for more.

I enjoyed getting a deeper look at Samuel’s past. His past comes back to haunt him, and the choices he made in the previous installment created a dangerous chain reaction. His backstory added depth to his character and made the stakes feel more personal.

Charley and her crew have to step up like never before to help him. This time, it’s not just about saving the town—it’s about saving someone they care about. I loved seeing Charley balance her humor and snark with her loyalty and determination. 

Charley’s powers are also growing, making her an even stronger force to reckon with. Her abilities give her confidence, but they also bring new challenges and dangers. The higher the stakes, the more intense the suspense becomes—not just for her, but for everyone around her. I loved seeing her learn to trust and control her powers while still relying on her friends and crew. It added another layer to the story and made it thrilling from start to finish.

Bloodlust Shadows blends humor, heart, suspense, and supernatural adventure. If you love series with strong heroines, loyal friends, and small-town mysteries with high stakes, this one is definitely worth reading. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Charley’s world!

We are back in Crimson for book four in the Charley Underwood series. This book picks up right after the events in book three and we get to learn more about Samuel’s past. Unfortunately, his blast from the past leads to current woes for Samuel and Charley. While Samuel is trying to resolve his issues, Charley has her hands full with her bar the Stag, infected blood, and invading werewolves.

This book was very enjoyable. The story is fast paced with no lags. Charley is really coming into her powers but it’s frustrating to me that she always seems doubtful about her power and her potential. This book is about Samuel’s past but we don’t get a ton of Samuel and Charlie as a team but that’s okay because there is plenty of action. Don’t worry the regular cast of characters are still there and bring their own drama. There is a problem with the blood business and potentially tainted blood, Dog is cranky and burned out, and everyone is dealing with a new group of wolves. It’s a lot but it all fits. I liked this book a lot.

We are back again with Charley Underwood in the fourth book of the Charley Underwood Series, Bloodlust Shadows. It may be the fourth book, but Luanne Bennett shows no signs of slowing down. She throws the reader right into the action and doesn't let go for a minute!

I always look forward to these books because I can't get enough of Charley and her world. She is planning on fixing her bar, the Stag, up after dealing with a rogue witch and a bloodsucking monster. She doesn't have the most normal customers you know! Her plans are put to the side when customers begin to turn up at the bar battered and unable to explain why. It seems that an old enemy is out for revenge and happy to drag everybody down to make their mark! Then someone goes missing, and Charley realises how far they will go to hurt her.

Luanne Bennett writes the most immersive supernatural urban fantasies. I love everything about these books. Great characters that are consistently developing and a setting that is so detailed make me addicted to the series. There is never a dull moment with Charley!

Action-packed and thrilling story-telling at a pace that never slows. This is addictive reading at its best!

Book 4 in the Charley Underwood series. Urban Fantasy. Would recommend reading the others in the series first, otherwise it could get a little confusing.

A great addition to the series. Charley is still learning about her powers but they progress in this book. The villain in this book is a great character, complicated and intriguing.

There's always a lot going on and it kept me engaged throughout. Fast paced, I read the book in one sitting.

Another epic page turner by this incredible author! This is the fourth book in Luanne's 'Charley Underwood' series but can be read as a standalone. I have got the previous books but had not got around to reading them before this one but I will definitely be going back to read them ASAP!! I would not not normally recommend reading books in a series out of order but there is a silver lining if you do so and that is after reading this book, getting hooked and finding your new favourite author you can now go back and read the previous three books in this series by this fantastic author while waiting for her next book to come out in this series!!! This book is extremely well written with vivid and evocative descriptions that really put you in the storyline, feeling the hair on your arms raise and putting you on the edge of your seat!!! The storyline is just as stunning as the cover!!!

I will start by saying that with this series being fantasy based and about witches, vampires and more it isn't my usual choice of book so I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about them but I was fascinated by the absolutely stunning cover and synopsis and was looking forward to trying it out and I am so pleased I did as I have absolutely loved the books I have read so far and I cannot see that changing anytime soon! If you are not typically a fan of fantasy and vampire/witch books then do not let that put you off, expand your reading genres and give this book a try!!The first thing I have got to say is an absolutely HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the amazing author Luanne Bennett. There is a wide range of characters and we get to meet loads of different characters which I absolutely loved!! I remarkably became very quickly attached and invested in them all and loved seeing the dynamics and interactions between them all. This is one of those books that I picked up and within a quarter of the book I realised I was wasting time lying to myself saying just one more chapter and I will do X, Y or Z as there was no way I could put it down!! Each and every chapter ended in a way that I had to know what was going to happen next so I ended up walking around with my kindle glued to my hands and unable to take my eyes of the screen until I had completely devoured the book within a few short hours. I honestly loved absolutely everything about it from the characters to the settings and it was just one heck of an amazing read!!! I have been enjoying this series and getting to know Charley and her friends.
This time the blood they get from vampires, to help human sickness, is tainted and Charley needs to find out why. She is also dating a vampire and then he goes missing so she is on the hunt to find him.
Urban fantasy with some romance. Vampires, witches and wolves living among humans makes this series interesting and wanting to continue on with the series.

I mean, how is this book over already? I can't believe that I blitzed this book literally in a day, and now Charley's done. No, I need the next book now, especially with the outburst at the end of the last book by dog, like seriously, give it to me!!!!!

Now, this one was interesting. They're all interesting. I love the mix of Fae, vampires, werewolves, humans, witches, and everything you could imagine, lives in Crimson.

I just love Charley. She's badass, and after eating her dad's spider in the last book, it seems like there's a bit of a complication now with what could be happening, and I'm excited to see what happens with Charley and, dare I say, her new powers.

We learned so much more about Samuel, and I love Samuel. I love Samuel with Charley. I love Samuel on his own. I just love Samuel and his backstory is and it's just heartbreaking in a sense that it was unnecessary. It was so unnecessary what happened to him, but because of revenge, because of family, he was screwed.

And what I loved about this book is literally been only a week since the last book!!!! I love that there is hardly any time. However, I do feel like Charley needs a break. I mean, come on, it's been a week since we met Victor still. And yet, already, we've got Shane coming into town. We've got wolf pack fights, buildings blowing up, and Candy and the witches, and yet, Charlie has not had a break. She powers through. Hopefully, one day she'll get a bit of a break, who knows, but it doesn't sound like she's going to get it anytime soon. And after that explosive ending, it's required!

I love Luanne's writing. I love these books. As I said, I devoured this in a day. Because I just got so absorbed into the writing. You just can't help but sit and read, and before you know it, it's the end - like, how did that happen? Although I listen to the books. I prefer audiobooks, and Stephanie is great at narrating Charley and the town. I love coming back to these audiobooks, listening to the characters, how Stephanie narrates them, because it's nice to hear their voices through her.

I don't know what else to say. I just love it. It's explosive. It's addictive. So much is going on, and there's never a rest day. And who doesn't love the Stag? I want to go to the Stag! Is there a way I can go to the stag? Can I go to the Stag? Just love it!

Charley Underwood doesn’t just stir drinks at The Stag, she stirs up trouble, sass, and supernatural drama like it’s happy hour. Bloodlust Shadows had me hooked from page one, fast-paced, sharp, and full of bite, literally.
Charley grew slowly on me, as she’s sassy, snarky, and doesn’t spare punches, whether she’s facing down vampires or throwing shade at her own chaotic town. Her voice is bold and hilarious, her comebacks are weapons, and she doesn’t shy away from helping friends even when it’s high risky.
Her romance is not an easy one, and maybe the past is not so past, as it could be reappearing in a mix of dubious clues, menaces, and a long-time enmity with Samuel.
The town of Crimson is a hot mess, and I loved every second of it. Between shady vampires, snarky witches, and a mystery that kept twisting, I barely had time to blink.
The plot flew by, with just enough chaos to keep me guessing, but not so much that I got lost. I had to reread a couple of scenes, sure, but they were worth it, packed with tension and clever dialogue.
This book is like your favorite cocktail: strong, a little wild and leaves you wanting more. If you like your urban fantasy with attitude and a dash of danger, pour yourself a glass of Bloodlust Shadows.

Crimson and its denizens are once again under attack from malevolent forces. This time it would appear that Samuel has some unfinished business with a "sibling".

Charley and the co-op are stunned when they find out the blood supply is contaminated and they have to come up with a new delivery method. Meanwhile some of the local residents keep turning up with unusual and unwarranted bruising, cuts and grazes and tempers are flaring between usually peaceful folk. With vampires, wolves, and humans all living in town, Charley needs to get to the bottom of this mystery fast!

Charley continues to learn about her new powers and she has a couple of doozies. The chemistry between her and Sam continues to simmer nicely and the relationships she has with Dog and the other bar staff are witty and found-family is definitely a vibe in this book! The banter is on point between the various factions/packs/coven members.

I really enjoyed the fact that Samuel is the one in need of saving this time around, even big, bad, centuries old vampires need saving occasionally!

This was a really fun urban fantasy, I loved Charley and her bad ass attitude it’s a refreshing change to have a FMC saving the MMC. There was light spice that was really well done and I loved the dynamic between Charley and Samuel.

I really enjoyed all the different stories of the wolves witches and vampires and will definitely be reading the other books in this series.

This series just gets better with each book.
Set in the dangerously charming town of Crimson; where things tend to blow up, both figuratively and physically. It's never boring.
Secretive wolves, manipulative vampires, diverse witches and a murder of crows.
Something is wrong, people are getting sick and showing up in the bar black and blue. A bunch of thugs show up, too. And now Samuel is missing.
Charlie and her friends never get a break in this crazy town.
Samuel has a past (he is a vampire, right) and he's raging and in town playing games, deadly painful games. He won't be happy until he destroys Samuel and everyone around him.
I was thrilled to review this arc copy.

Charley spends her days and nights running her bar, and trying to keep the peace in small town Crimson, but someone is always making trouble! This time, her boyfriend Samuel disappears and the new vampire in town seems to be the problem. I found myself laughing at the antics, and enjoy Charley's kick-ass personality! The story flows from one book to the next, so I suggest reading them in order.

I enjoyed this book! There are so many twists you don't see coming! Sexy, snarky and often funny it's so good.

Charley Once again is taking on the role of keeping Crimson together. Within the small Georgia town, there are vampires, wolves, and humans living amongst one another and she is determined to keep the peace in anyway she can.

I have read every book up to this prior to published date and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I found myself laughing a lot in this one and loved the one liners.

Samuel disappears and all effort moves to finding him and bringing him back to safety. We are made aware of his background and history, which came in great timing for this book.

We see some social and political happenings as Charley’s blood supply has challenges.

Charley’s Character is completely solidified and in alignment with the other installments in this story. We see her really take on the role of protective nature over Samuel and her friendships in this book. We see a more bad ass warrior in the story as she fights hard to keep the peace new things unfold. Charley juggles a lot and overcomes many challenges in this story.

I look forward to the new installment in this series. It will be a long hard wait until book 5 releases.
