4 stars!
I truly LOVE a royal romance. I really do.
Prince Augustus (Auggie), is a British prince, and heir to the throne.
Thomas is a half American/half British man, the heir to a successful hotel chain and an anti-monarchist.
Auggie struggles with being forced to hide his true self. He cannot come out as being gay- as his father (the king), finds it imperative for him to uphold the image of the royal family, marry a woman and produce heirs. Auggie has essentially accepted that this is his fate and he cannot change it- until he meets Thomas.
When Auggie and Thomas find themselves on a TV show together, things start to become intense and the two can’t seem to stay apart.
Auggie must make tough decisions about his family, about Thomas and about his future as king.
This was a very enjoyable book!
Auggie and Thomas together were great together. However, I do wish we got a few more light-hearted cutesy romance scenes from them!
I LOVE their banter, and the way they tease each other. The dialogue was honestly a joy to read.
I also loved hearing Auggie’s story, it was very heartfelt, and I was rooting for him, his happiness, and his perfect ending the whole time.
Lastly, I was happy to see some unexpected non-binary/gender non-conforming representation here!
Overall, this was a good read, and I am happy I got the opportunity to review it. I am super excited to learn that Hayden Stone is releasing part two in 2026, and I am extremely hopeful that I can read and review that one as well!

This was a fun rom com that I enjoyed. Thomas and Auggie were sweet characters and the idea of a reality TV show was an interesting premise. Looking forward to more books from this author.

Love love love these two. Fantastic writing too. I am a simp for celebrity/royalty + 'normal' person shenanigans. This book scratched the itch!! Plus that cover!! Swoon.

I had some trouble finding the romance believable. They really only spent a handful of moments together and we were supposed to believe they were madly in love. I also found some of the characters actions to be unrealistic. This has a good premise, and a hot prince always pulls me in!
