From Cradle to Grave is the latest in Her Royal Spyness series by Rhys Bowen. As always, the plot is suspenseful, the characters well developed, and the story well resear he'd. We can feel the approaching storm of Hitler and war. We get a more personal feel for the Royal family as Georgie's family. We see Georgie maturing as a wife and mother and mistress of an aristocratic household. Best of all, while trying to work out who is killing g off aristocratic heirs, we see the romance between Georgie and Darcy going strong. A delightful mystery into read in these stressful times.
Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC.

As always these are a fun diverting read. I loved having Zou Zou in the mix. I do wish Belinda was around a bit more. But as usual, Georgie saves the day!

Lady Georgiana, Georgie to her friends is enjoying life in the country caring for her baby son, James. Unfortunately, her interfering and snobbish sister-in-law, Fig has foisted a very stern and respectable Nanny onto Georgie's world and foisted herself as well. Meanwhile, some strange accidental deaths have occurred that warrant a more thorough look. Were they really accidental or is something far more nefarious going on. Georgie will have to summon all of her strength to deal with a fearsome Nanny, her awful sister-in-law, and figure out who is doing the killings.

A fun and creative series, with a likeable heroine and terrific setting.

I love this series so much. It’s such a comfort read for me. It always feels like catching up with friends. Georgie is settling into motherhood, but Fig is being controlling about a nanny. Then some unexpected deaths are happening. Georgie decides to investigate. We see Zou Zou, Belinda, Granddad, Darcy, and Queenie. I liked that this one was Georgie’s show. She really proved her skills in this one. Love it. Have not been disappointed with any of them.

From Cradle to Grave by Rhys Bowen carries on the story of Lady Georgina and her household in 1930s England. As always, there is domestic turmoil, a mystery to be solved by her and her friends and family and a bit of history to spice it all up with. These are a glimpse in the life of minor royalty and the haves and have nots of the time, done with humor and some slight class consciousness on the part of the haves. Always a treat to have another Georgina book to read.

A delightful read. The characters are all old friends of mine now but there is enough intrigue and humor to keep it interesting. Looking forward to the next one.

A throughly enjoyable series about the life of Georgie, Darcy, their family and friends. Their son is growing, so dreaded SIL decides on an uninvited visit, as well as hiring a militant nanny without Georgie’s permission. My chronic peeve with this series is Georgie always being a doormat from the harangue her SIL Fig, is constantly giving her and she’s allowing the nanny to do it now as well. I was ready to put the novel down in disgust when Georgie decided she had finally had enough, and I was never happier to read the ensuing paragraphs.
The mystery is interesting, as are the lives of Georgie’s friends, and the ever closer threat of Hitler. I’m really looking forward to the next installment.
