I absolutely loved this book by Sally. The flow of the book was perfect, the chapters were at a great length too, not too long and not too short.
The plot was fantastic, so many twists and turns through the entire book. I enjoyed getting to know the characters, Zoey, Dean and Heather are very likable.
And the ending, oh dear, it was lovely. It wrapped the entire book up perfectly.

Thank you for the early access to read No One Saw Her Go and I wish every success to Sally on publication day

I really enjoyed the dual POVs, which added depth and kept the pacing fresh throughout. While there weren’t any truly jaw-dropping twists or shocking moments, the plot still held my interest and delivered a satisfying experience overall. A great book for fans of light thrillers or anyone looking for an engaging beach/summer read

Zoey Montgomery’s aunt, Heather, disappeared from Camp Medley 35 years ago. Zoey, a criminology student, takes a summer job as a counselor at the camp to investigate her aunt’s disappearance and to try to provide answers for her heartbroken mother. The book follows her search for answers while raising questions about Heather’s fate and Zoey’s own safety. The plot includes elements such as murder, mystery, and intrigue, with multiple character developments and unexpected turns throughout. I was drawn in by the first chapter and was franticly flipping pages to find out what happened next.

This was my first book by Sally Royer- Derr and I cannot wait to dive into Sally’s other books. No One Saw Her Go will publish on August 1, 2025. I sincerely appreciate NetGalley and Storm Publishing for providing me with an advance e-copy to read in exchange for my honest review.

Summer camp setting and a history of missing teenage girls...sounds like the perfect summer mystery and thriller!

Years ago, Heather ran away from home and camped out near a summer camp to be with her boyfriend. Before the summer was over, her sister never heard from her again. Many years later, her niece, Zoey, goes back to the camp to get some questions answered. Oh how this sounded promising! While the thoughts and ideas were solid, the execution fell short for me. The interactions and dialogues between the characters felt really unnatural, some characters needed more development and many points in the story felt jarringly rushed. It's unfortunate.

I do want to thank Storm Publishing for providing an advanced digital copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are entirely my own.

This is the second book that I have read by Sally Royer-Derr and I wasn't disappointed.
Criminology student, Zoey Montgomery had only just learned that her mother had a sister, a sister who disappeared from a summer camp, a sister who her mother was still grieving.
Having been unceremoniously dumped by the boy that she thought that she was going to spend the rest of her life with, Zoey decided to make use of her holiday by signing up as a camp councillor at Camp Medley, the last place that her aunt Heather had been seen, her mother deserved to know what happened to her sister and Zoey was just the person to look for answers.
Zoey's room mate was Mel, daughter of the camp owners but Zoey would quickly discover that the camp was run by the most dysfunctional and dangerous family that she was ever likely to meet.
Strange things were happening at the camp and Zoey's refusal to answer her mothers pleas to come home would nearly cost her her life.
This is a gripping story, the tension and suspense quickly creep up, the author description of the creepy woods, the frightening sounds and the terrifying swamps made me feel as though I was there. The story is written over two timelines but it flows well and I really didn't know how it would end.
An enjoyable read although I did think that the story of Craig was a step too far.
Thank you Storm publishing and Net Gallery for this ARC, my review is totally voluntary

Wow what a twisted story! I was hooked by this story from page one. Told thru dual timelines both keeping me turning the pages. It certainly kept me guessing to the very end.

After glancing through some of the other reviews, mine will be an outlier. I was not overly impressed or eager to want to read this book after I got started. It was clear the direction it was going with the abuse/abduction part of the storyline and I was not there for it. There was slight twist at the end that I was not expecting, which bumped up my star rating.

No One Saw Her Go was as twisty as can be with a dash of urban legend and a whole lot of secrets!!! 💫💫💫💫💫

Zoey recently found out that her mom had a sister who disappeared when she was sixteen. Zoey decides to work at the camp where her Aunt Heather disappeared. We get multiple points of view, and the story develops quite nicely. I gasped when the twist was revealed. As the story unfolds, we see why everyone wanted to keep it all a secret.
Thank you, Netgalley and Storm Publishing, for this ARC. All opinions are entirely my own.

Zoey Montgomery takes a job at Camp Medley as a camp counsellor. What no one knows is her aunt went missing from here 30 years ago. Zoey, who is a criminology student, plans to investigate this after an internship with her boyfriend, Craig, fell through. It was told over different time periods mainly with Zoey and her aunt, Heather. Suddenly, in the present time, things start to happen, which leaves Zoey in a situation out of her control. It was well written, very descriptive with plenty of twists and turns, that led to a dramatic ending!

The fourth book by Sally Roger-Deer I have read and enjoyed. Another book with dual timelines well used. The story centres around one woman's struggle for survival and independence and another woman's quest to find answers about her aunt. This plot line all leads to a gripping can't put down book, I read 86% of it in one sitting. Thanks to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for the chance to ARC this book.

No One Saw Her Go by Sally Royer-Derr, When Zoe applies to be a camp counselor for the summer at Camp Melody the reasons or multiple. The first reason is she wants to find out what happened to her aunt Heather when she went missing from the camp years before in 1989 the second reason is to find out why her boyfriend who lives 30 minutes from the camp, ghosted her and now claims to be touring Europe something she doesn’t believe. like most of Mrs Royer-Derrs books there’s two povs one is with Heather, she’s 16 and after her stepdad wants a kid came into her room the night before she decides to run away and live at the summer camp where her boyfriend Dean is working. The second one is Zoe who goes to the camp and search of answers and when she arrives she’s happy to learn Mel her roommate is the daughter of the family that has owned the camp since the beginning. When she tries to ask Mel‘s aunt and mom about Heather they act as if they barely remember her and really have nothing to add to her sad tail, but when Mel takes her to her family home to dig through the basement of camp records Zoe finds a picture of her aunt Heather along with Mels aunt and mom Jennifer and Sherry. Zoe‘s efforts will not be wasted but when she finds out the truth she also finds out answers to questions she didn’t even ask and almost loses her life in the process. I really enjoy the authors out of the box endings and although you have to suspend belief it is still so worth getting through it I find her books compulsively readable but this one sadly not so much. It just kept being a pee and repeat situation with Zoe saying if you could tell me anything about my aunt that’s why I’m here blah blah blah she just kept saying it and kept getting the same answers but then when she’s confronted with the cashier who clearly know something about something Zoe instead fears her and just wants to get away from her which made no sense to me. The ending was still the crazy endings I’ve come to expect from the Author and I totally enjoyed that but for a lot of of the middle of the book it was mainly just repetition with the exception of her trying to find out what happened to her boyfriend Craig which the answer to that is also a doozy. if you love the type of thrillers that you know you will have to suspend belief but are down to do it because it’s so much fun the new will enjoy this book if you skip a few of the middle chapters I will not say don’t read it because the beginning and most of the end was really good the answers are outrageous and so worth getting to it’s just a repetition if the author could fix that this really would be a great book and the kind I come to expect from the Author. So I guess what I’m saying is read it at your own risk. #NetGalley,#StormPublishing, #TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #SallyRoyerDerr, #No oneSawHerGo,

First, thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for affording me the opportunity to read this book as an ARC.

Moving forward, while I like the actual story and plot, I'm not a huge fan of how it was written and honestly almost didn't finish because the repetition almost because too much for me. Like, yes, we know Zoey and her boyfriend, who uncharacteristically broke up with her via text, were criminology majors. We know that Heather loved Dean SO much and couldn't wait to see him every day. We know about Harvey, Gran and Craig and don't need the details constantly reiterated. It was a very big "ick" for me. Other than that, I enjoyed the characters, and the story and the plot twists. I can actually say that I did not see those coming. I do feel like the ending was rushed. The first 75-80% of the book was repetition and the same things happening, same questions being asked, etc., with a few small curveballs thrown in. The last 20-25% was all the build-up rolled into a rushed ending.

I will most likely read some of her other books to get more of a feel for her writing, but this book is a "meh" for me.

Zoey finds out her aunt went missing at a summer camp many years ago. In an effort to find out what happens Zoey gets a job at that same camp hoping to uncover exactly what happened to Heather.

I’m sorry for what I’m about to tell you. I am a book hype woman, it takes A LOT for me to bad mouth a book but this book was just not it. You know that part of the emperor's new groove when Kronk is talking about Kuzco's poison? The poison for Kuzco meant to poison him? That’s this entire book. I could not get around it. You will be reading the same sentence, 5 times in a row, every single chapter. “This is a secret garden. It reminds me of the book secret garden which is about a garden that’s a secret” (not a direct quote but you get it). When they’re not repeating sentences, a character is talking about how everyone at the camp has secrets. I also cannot believe Zoey was in college. She is written as if she is fourteen years old. Also it’s crazy obvious how this book is going to end about 10 minutes into it. The main character's inner dialogue has so many exclamation points. Speaking of dialogue, every conversation in this book is pointless. There are whole sections where it’s like I’m going to ask Mel to go to lunch. Mel do you want to go to lunch. Mel says sure. I say okay. We walk to lunch. And that’s it, the whole section is over. There is also zero suspense. Every conversation is pointless until it’s not. Zoey speculates the whole time until she decides to just ask the person and that person just fully confesses without any push back. Also why did the plot line with Zoey’s boyfriend even exist? I’m so confused by this entire thing. I would be shocked if this doesn’t stay my least favorite of the year. I’m so sorry.

Half the ending was expected and the other half not expected so there was mystery throughout the book. A very good and creepy psychological book.

A camp setting, missing people and weird things happening are a great start to this novel by Sally Royer-Derr. Very suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat flipping pages to see happened next. It had the much needed twists and turns that make psychological thrillers so fun. I highly recommend picking this one up.

Thank you Storm Publishing for sending me this eARC. Also thank you to NetGalley and Sally Royer-Derrr.

This book was great. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Really suspenseful and I loved that the chapters went from “before” and “now”. I enjoyed that style. Will definitely more of this authors books!

Well this makes me glad I was never a camp counselor. Sheesh! Zoey decided to take a summer job at the same camp where her aunt mysteriously disappeared decades ago. But she’s in for one heck of a ride when she starts digging. Too many unexplained disappearances have happened here, and she’s going to find out the hard way just what’s been going on. I was completely immersed in this story, and am going to look for more books by this author immediately.

2.5/5 stars. Thank you so much Netgalley and Storm Publishing for this ARC. I loved the concept of a summer camp thriller and thought it was a great premise for the plot of a summer thriller. However, I felt the writing was very repetitive and I found myself struggling to get through some of the chapters. I found the voices of the main characters somewhat juvenile which made it difficult to really engage with the story.

Told across two timeliness with multiple view points, this book told a tale of love and treachery. Set at a kids summer camp, the story became the background for murder and mayhem. Many twists and turns wove the story together with lots of madness and mayhem in between. Make you think twice about going to camp! Very well written and an page turner for sure!

All I can say about this book is WOW! The ending blew my mind. It totally took me on a totally different path. I was on the edge of my seat and I had to finish this book. What a page turner especially towards the end. I did not see it coming.
I loved Zoey’s determination to find out the truth. Then finding out how everyone at the camp figured in on this mystery was brilliant writing. I liked how the author went back and forth with the time periods. Sometimes when this happened in other books, I would have gotten lost and would have to reread what I just read. Not here the author kept us right on point with the whole book.

Thank you NetGalley Storm Publishing forARC. ALSO, THANK YOU TO THE AUTHOR. THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE BEST MYSTERY BOOKS. I’VE READ IN A WHILE. FIVE STARS.
