This manga was really cute and gave me alot of the world of arriety vibes. I really loved sheeta as a character , he was the cute and also really smart. I would love to know more about izuna as well since this is only volume 1. I kid you not, I didn't want this story to end as I wanted more😭✨️

So if your a ghibli fan and also love worlds that have tiny people lore and how they survive, I would definately recommend this book it's simple, charming and a cute read for when your all cozied up

I was drawn to the art style and Ghibli-esque story, having loved The Secret World of Arrietty. I'm glad to say the story has some SLIGHTLY darker elements (so far) that make it perfect for older readers. I am enjoying the mix of manga and realistic art styles. The premise is interesting and I look forward to reading the next volume.

It was cute as my first impression were, a super cute protagonist living in a big forest world where things are whimsy but still has its dangers due to the cast being very small. Basically a tale of tiny elves done with a manga fantasy epic styling.

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for giving me Volume 1 of this manga.

Omg I was literally devastated that they killed the momma weasel in this like man, as an animal lover, it broke my heart😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Regardless it looks to be a ok manga out there like pace wise, it’s pretty slow and predictable but the art is very detailed. Definitely not worth reading this if you’re an animal lover like me🥲

*Thanks to NetGalley and Kodansha comics for early copy for review*

This had a cute adventure concept following the little folk as they lived their lives. Reminded me of The Borrowers and A Bugs Life. Not something I would want to continue with, but an okay read.

Such a cozy little graphic novel!
The sibling relationship between Sheeta and Nala is beautiful. I hope my brothers and I can have that kind of relationship soon. It's adorable.
We learn a lot of facts about wildlife in Sheeta's journey to find Nala; if any of those are real, that makes this graphic novel more interesting for me.
I can't wait any longer to put my hands on the next volume!

It's not a perfect volume; the world building, action, and story lack a bit. But for someone like me, whose favorite Ghibli movie was The Secret World of Arrietty, this was such a delight. I'll definitely be picking up the next installment.

Thank you to Kodansha Comics and Netgalley for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I can already tell I’m going to enjoy this series! It definitely has similar vibes to The Borrowers. I love seeing life and nature on the scale of the Little Folk, where rats are huge and predators, etc. The art style is very cute as well, and I like the difference between characters like Sheeta and Nala vs. Izuna. There are basically two main plot lines running through the little misadventures of Sheeta: Finding Nala, and finding Hiba. I’m excited to read more and find out how they help Kugel, and how that helps the progress with the main searches.

This was a cute story. Im not sure if I enjoyed it enough to continue with the series, but I do think the artist style is unique and the story is lighthearted and fun.

A really interesting story! I already really feel the author is considering the perspectives of people so small. Haven't seen an adventure story balance lightness with true adventure in a manga like this in a while.

Thank you to NetGalley, Kodansha and Yuki Kamba for the opportunity to read an advance e-ARC of Sheeta's Little Big World Volume 1.

This was such a charming and nostalgic feeling read for me. I don’t often come across stories centred around little people anymore, but I used to love them as a child so this concept really drew me in. The artwork is whimsical and beautifully detailed, perfectly complementing the cosy, adventurous tone of the story.

I really enjoyed the quest style narrative. Sheeta’s journey to find their best friend Nala (who is on his own journey to find Sheeta’s dad) adds a layered sense of purpose and intrigue. We know nothing about the world other than it is big and dangerous. However, the story so far is sweet and gentle in tone, with hints that the series could take a slightly darker turn in future volumes.

Overall, this was a great start to the series. I am definitely curious to see where Volume 2 takes us.

This was a lovely beginning to an adventure! The art is adorable and I love how the animals are draws especially, as well as the new perspective it gives you on nature and the world.

The premise is promising and the characters are interesting and show a nice complexity for a first volume.

Art: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What I loved: There were so many fun facts about wildlife and nature—I learned more than one thing while reading this and I love that it was presented in a fun, and visually beautiful, way. The world building was very whimsical, as the story focused on the journey through the wild that one little boy—*actually* little, of the little people class—must make in a quest to find his friend in the great big wild outside their safe tree-trunk village.

If you are someone who is not into hunting whatsoever, this manga probably is not for you. Although not usually graphic in nature, there are several scenes in which characters encounter wildlife that ends in death of the creature. That said, it is most always done in a respectful manner and addressed with respect for the animal’s life.

A charming new adventure manga for readers young and old! The very little Sheeta lives in a town inside a hollowed-out log. His neighbors are friendly, supportive, and above all, careful. But soon, Sheeta's longing to explore is going to bring him face to face with dangers he never imagined…

Taking inspiration from The Borrowers, Studio Ghibli, and children's classics like Treasure Island, Sheeta's Little Big World is a beautifully-illustrated, three-volume story perfect to read alone or with your own little companion.

Thank you NetGalley and Kodansha Comics

It under 200 pages in this Vol 1 book, I like it and it interesting that these LittleFolk are trying to fight off the creature that is big and multiple. I read it in one-sitting. I always love to read comic/manga book. I giving this book a rate of 4 stars. I curious with this series book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha for the e-arc!

I went into this with low expectations and ended up really enjoying this title. I like Sheeta as a main character and seeing him develop his courage was a nice treat. I do hope the overall story picks up as I am not sure the slightly slice of life/adventure of the week structure is my favorite. I do recommend giving this a read as its a good beginner manga,

Have you ever thought about your place in the world, and what it might be like not to be at the top of the food chain? Sheeta's Little Big World explores those questions with a story set amongst a group of tiny people living in logs and burrows, reminiscent of the Borrowers or Roald Dahl's Minpins. Kamba's approach to this setting, however, also recalls Ryoko Kui's Delicious in Dungeon, examining the ecology of this world and the definition of "right" and "wrong" when you're three inches tall and you have to fight tooth and nail to survive--but so does every other creature on the forest floor. Kamba also sets the stage for a bit of mystery in this adventure, hinting at the existence of even bigger creatures than the ones that nearly killed Sheeta and Izuna, as well as the mystery of what happened to Sheeta's father and Izuna's village. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the titles mentioned above, as well as books like Avi's Poppy series, or any book about the adventures of tiny adorable woodland creatures - and the dangers they face.
