Popcorn thriller about a woman determined to ruin the life of another woman. Paige and Amelia teach yoga together and they each have a teenage daughter. While Amelia is happy to find a new friend, Paige has a goal of ruining Amelia's life. At times this was hard to read as Amelia is first scammed out of all her savings, then her teenage daughter is catfished into sending inappropriate pictures and shoplifting. This was only the beginning of the increasingly bad things happening to this family. As things get worse and worse, Amelia feels the only friend she can count is Paige; the very person who is behind all of it. .
I kept hoping for Amelia to look closer at things that were happening but since one of Paige's goals was to cause strife between Amelia and her husband and daughter, the family weren't communicating well leaving Amelia at a loss as to what to do to reclaim their lives. Amelia's daughter Marnie also became best friends with Paige's daughter Taryn and thought she was finding refuge in her friend's home. As usual, the author throws in a couple of twists at the end which were fun and unexpected. This was a quick, beach read type of thriller along the lines of a Freda McFadden of book. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this ARC in exchange for a review.

Trust is fickle--when broken it can be diabolical. Toxic friendship that cuts deep. This will pull you in with iron grip and keep you flipping pages with a hunger way past your bedtime.

Another twisted tale from Miranda Rijks.
If you like suspenseful, emotional and psychological stories then you have to read this book.
People say like Mother like daughter and this is true for this story.
You think you have met someone who is sweet and helpful to you and you’re glad they are your friend. But how far can you truly trust someone?
Amelia finds Paige to be a new friend but what she doesn’t know if that Paige is the furthest thing from it.
You just never know when that one person in your life with go to any extreme to ruin everything you hold dear.

This book completely pulled me in! You can trust me?!? Oh, I think NOT! Trust nothing and no one in this story! Loved the twists and deception! Every time I think Miranda Rijks can’t top her last book, she proves me wrong!

If you’ve ever handed someone your trust and felt the sting of betrayal, this book will hit a nerve. And if you haven’t? Buckle up. Miranda Rijks will make you question every “friend” in your life.
You Can Trust Me is toxic friendship lit at its sharpest. The kind of psychological suspense that doesn’t sneak up on you, it stalks you. Quietly. Intimately. And by the time you realize what’s happening, it’s too late.
On the surface, Amelia and Paige are every bit the mom-friends dream: supportive, reliable, raising their daughters side by side. But beneath the yoga mats and school runs? Paige is a master manipulator and Amelia is her newest mark.
Watching Paige unravel Amelia’s life is like witnessing a perfectly orchestrated hit. Subtle, calculated, relentless. She doesn’t just go after her business and bank account, she goes for the soul: her friendships, her self-worth, her marriage. And the way she does it? Terrifyingly plausible.
Rijks doesn’t rely on cheap twists. Instead, she builds a slow, tight spiral of dread. The tension never lets go. You don’t read this book to find out if Paige will destroy Amelia, you read it to see if Amelia has the strength to take her down first.
This isn’t just a story about betrayal, it’s a story about reclaiming your power after you’ve been blindsided by someone who smiled while sticking the knife in.
Fast-paced. Unsettling. Deliciously ruthless.
Trust me, you’re not going to want to miss this one.

I couldn’t put this book down. The writing is vivid and fast-paced: I flew through the pages without even noticing. It’s impossible to stay indifferent, not to feel outraged, not to worry about our heroine, Amelia.
Right from the start, you can sense that something is off. Paige, Amelia’s colleague, is clearly manipulative and hiding something darker. It’s not immediately clear what she has against Amelia, but it quickly becomes obvious that her feelings go far beyond simple dislike. In fact, hate doesn’t even begin to cover the depth of Paige’s obsession.
As the story unfolds, I found myself constantly wondering when the truth would come out—when Paige’s lies and manipulations would finally be exposed. I was so immersed in the book that I genuinely started to feel unsettled by the chaos unfolding. To be honest, I was afraid it wouldn’t end well.
The characters are incredibly well written and disturbingly realistic. None of them is perfect, but they feel human, which makes them even more engaging. Well… maybe not Paige.
The novel explores gaslighting and emotional abuse in a chillingly believable way. It’s disturbing precisely because it feels like something that could happen in real life. At times, I felt Paige’s manipulations were too extreme, that surely someone would see through her — and occasionally, she was caught out. But she always managed to twist things just enough to escape the consequences. Looking back, I realised that everything she did was something a truly malicious person could pull off. That’s what makes the story so unsettling.
Without giving anything away, the ending, quite open, feels like the perfect closing note to this psychological thriller.
All in all, an addictive read that I’d recommend both to seasoned thriller fans and newcomers to the genre — it won’t disappoint.

Another awesome Miranda Rijiks book. Highly recommend for fans of.psychological thrillers. Great characters and keeps you guessing.

This was a wild ride! I enjoyed how the story was told from both the mothers and their daughters perspectives. The format made it super engaging and a quick read. For majority of the book I was trying to figure out what Paige’s motive was and I’m happy I didn’t guess it. Excited to read more by this author!

You Can Trust Me is a dark and twisty thriller that pulls readers into a tangled web of secrets, betrayal, and manipulation. Told through multiple POVs, this fast-paced story keeps you guessing at every turn. Paige, a master manipulator, is absolutely demented and stops at nothing to dismantle Amelia’s life, making her a truly unforgettable villain.
With its multi-layered plot and deeply dysfunctional family dynamics, this novel is impossible to put down. And that twist at the end….totally unexpected! Miranda Rijks delivers tension and suspense in all the right places, creating a thriller that’s both chilling and compulsively readable.
Thank you to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

You Can Trust Me was a captivating read from start to finish. I spent so much time trying to piece together how the plot might unfold, but Miranda Rijks expertly kept me guessing with no clear hints or giveaways along the way.
I loved everything about this story: the pacing, the suspense, the characters, and the way tension slowly built with each chapter. Just when I thought I might have figured it out, the ending hit and I was truly flabbergasted. It was the kind of twist that makes you sit back and just wow.

*no spoilers it’s all in the synopsis*
This is a book about friendship but not the friendship you want. Paige is what seems on the outside like a loving mother, a good friend and someone you can really trust. But she is the devil in disguise. Will her «best friend» Amelia see what’s coming or will she be totally blindsided by her nice colleague and BFF?
If you like fast paced psychological thrillers with unhinged female main characters. You should read this one. I would compare it to The last party by A.R Torre and because Paige could be Perla’s sister.
I loved this one.

**ARC Review "You Can Trust Me" by Miranda Rijks** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 4.5 stars
Paige is that character. The devious, calculating train wreck you simply cannot look away from. I flew through the pages, horrified yet fascinated by her tangled web of lies. It’s like the literary version of watching someone light a match in a room full of gasoline; you know it’s going to explode, but you can't help but stick around to see just how bad it gets.
The book kicks off quickly and never lets up. Paige is a master manipulator who casually sips her wine while ruining lives. She’s awful in the most entertaining way possible. Watching her worm her way into Amelia's life, with the intent to destroy it, was both gripping and painful. Amelia is just so kind and trusting.
Rijks maintains tight tension throughout with short, punchy chapters that make it all too easy to say, "Just one more." I love and hate those short chapters! The story does feel a bit over-the-top at times, but that’s part of the fun. It's unhinged, and that’s exactly what I signed up for.
This book is a psychological thriller that brings the same vibes as "The Housemaid" by Freida McFadden. I try to grab all of Rijks' ARCs because I know she’ll keep me entertained! I’m eagerly waiting for her next release!
Thank you to the author and Inkubator Books for providing this ARC via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Y’all! They were the best of friends. And the worst of enemies.
This twisty little thriller is like a downward dog straight into darkness. One minute you’re sipping herbal tea with your new bestie, the next you’re wondering if she’s stealing your life one smiling “favor” at a time.
Miranda Rijks serves up betrayal with a green juice and a side of suspense. The pacing is tight, the tension is real, and the vibe? Dead to Me meets Single White Female—with yoga mats and secrets.
Fast, punchy, and disturbingly plausible. You’ll inhale it and trust no one by the end.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Devious fun in a friendly disguise.

I was amazed by this book! It’s so completely different from Miranda Rijks other books.
“You Can Trust Me” is a true psychological thriller, with devious characters!
The book revolves around an upper class family, who strive to make a better life for their daughter, following her nearly deadly bout with meningitis.
The mom, Amelia , is a part time yoga teacher, who becomes friends with another yoga teacher, Paige. Both women have daughters the same age, and know each other at school.
What Amelia doesn’t know is that Paige is jealous of Amelia’s lifestyle and family. She’s determined to ruin their lives!
The book is well written, and the story unfolds gradually, with plenty of action, keeping the reader engaged. There is suspense, violence and a major twist at the end.
I highly recommend this book for readers of psychological thrillers!

This is the first book I’ve read by Miranda Rijks. It was a fast paced thriller with twists. I did get a little frustrated at times with one of the characters being so cruel, but it kept me reading to the end. I couldn’t put it down!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

This was a quick, twisted and sure is a great psychological thriller read.
This is my second book of Miranda Rijks and still got the same effect as before I couldn’t put it down.

The tiwsts kept twisting and the turns turning. i loved it ..
A recommended holiday read..

This is my first Miranda Rijks novel and she did not disappoint. I was choked up with just the prologue along. The pace was perfect. The amount of toxic relationships within the story had me floored. The twist just kept on twisting. I loved how the book gave you individual insights to each character per chapter. This story has me side eyeing everyone now. 😂 Hands down a fantastic summer read.
I received an ARC via Netgalley/Inkubator Books and am voluntarily leaving this review.

When Amelia discovers she’s been scammed, she turns to her colleague Paige. Not only do Amelia and Paige become close but their daughters become best friends. But Paige’s support is just a front. She wants to ruin Amelia’s life.
This book was a quick and twisty read! I really enjoyed the story and didn’t want to put the book down! My only complaint with the book was some of the writing. Mainly the conversations that took place with the teenagers. Some of the things they said were cringy and didn’t seem like something that someone would actually say. Other than that I throughly enjoyed the book!
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book!

Fast-paced and full of suspense, this psychological thriller dives into deception, obsession, and trust gone wrong. Miranda Rijks keeps the tension high with clever twists and an unsettling plot. A gripping read that’s hard to put down.
