Wow!!!!! I’m left totally speechless. This has to be my favorite book by this author yet. From the beginning to the end I was kept on the edge of my seat. I swiped through the pages so quickly. I had to get to that shocking ending and fast. I don’t know where to start with this one. How about the characters. They were all great and fit the story perfectly. Each of them had a role to play and they all did it so well. Next up plot. The blurb did not do this one justice at all. It was juicer then I thought it would be. Also, it was very refreshing to read something different. The books I’ve reading lately have all been the same. Either they are about missing kids or spouses hiding deep dark secrets from each other. It was wonderful to read something different. Last but not least my favorite part of every book, the ending. OMG!!!!! It was awesome!!!!! What’s that saying. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Or the other saying. With friends like these who need enemies. Both of these sayings fit with this book perfectly. This author just keeps getting better and better with every book. I just love her so much. I can’t wait to read more by her.

Love this author so i knew i would enjoy it.
I tried to keep it for when i had the time and peace to enjoy it.......i lasted two days!!
Great plot and well written characters.
Who can you trust and why would you doubt them?
I don't want to give anything away but this is a MUST read.
My thanks to netgalley, the publisher and the author for my copy.

The plot definitely kept me engaged and I found myself wanting to know more. I also appreciated the way the story unfolded, as it kept me guessing until the very end. The pacing was great, allowing for the right amount of suspense and character development. It was a truly enjoyable read that I would highly recommend.

This book was full of so many plot twists, which made it another fun psychological Thriller, which Rijks nails every time.
You never know when you meet someone if they are genuine or want something from you.
Amelia is a yoga teacher, who’s live is unraveling after a scan and her teenage daughter is rebelling. She meets Paige and their daughters Taryn and Marnie become besties.
Paige has placed herself in Amelia and her daughter’s life, but it is NO ACCIDENT. She has ulterior motives and they are not good.
Get ready for a WILD ride!!!

I devoured this book in one day, it completely hooked me! You Can Trust Me is a dark, twisty, and addictive read filled with ruthless characters and shocking turns. Paige and her daughter were absolutely unhinged in the best way, and I loved seeing the chaos unfold through the different POVs. The shifting perspectives between the mothers and daughters added so much depth and suspense.
Miranda Rijks knows how to keep the tension high and the drama juicy. Just when I thought I had things figured out, another layer would peel back. If you like fast-paced thrillers with dysfunctional family dynamics and deliciously manipulative characters, don’t miss this one.

I had no idea where this book was going and it took me longer to get through than I normally do but we had company for a week and I wasn’t able to read as much. So … Miranda Rijks’ latest You Can Trust Me had me glued from the very first page. You sure can’t trust anyone in this book!! The ending is shocking! It came out of nowhere. Well done Miranda!!! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review. To be published July 20, 2025.

"You Can Trust Me" by Miranda Rijks is an emotionally charged, fast-paced psychological thriller about toxic friendships that keeps readers guessing until the very end, featuring twists that hit you when you least expect them. This book illustrates how easily one can turn someone’s life into a bloody nightmare and how difficult it can be to prove the truth.
Amelia and Paige are yoga teachers at the same studio. When Amelia falls victim to an online scam, Paige helps her secure a refund and becomes her hero. However, Paige is a skilled con artist and actress with her own plans to take Amelia's money and tear her life apart. Complicating matters further, Amelia’s daughter and Paige's daughter become friends and seek support from each other as they navigate their crazy mothers.
Despite the book being presented from multiple points of view, it is easy to follow the events.
I’m always excited to read Miranda's books. I just checked and out of the ten books by her that I've read, I rated eight 5 stars and two 4 stars. It's fair to say I am a fan of her writing.
Thank you to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for this copy!

Miranda Rijks is an author who is always on my list of favorite authors and with her latest, You Can Trust Me, she did not disappoint!
We are thrown into a story that resonates because we hear it far too often - what if? What if your life was being destroyed and you had no idea you were being targeted? Your savings - gone! Your reputation - gone! Even your child goes missing. Now imagine it's someone closer than you think, someone who constantly tells you, "You can trust me.!"
If you ever wanted a character to feel sorry for, it's Amelia. She meets Paige at the yoga studio where she teaches. Soon, her daughter Marnie, and Paige's daughter Taryn, become fast friends. Amelia thinks Paige is giving her great advice when an online retailer scams her. She also feels that Taryn is a good influence on her daughter, since Taryn is such a bright student. And she thought her husband would never cheat on her. She couldn't be more wrong - on two out of three of these counts.
This is a book that will leave you clenching your jaw, and maybe obsessively checking your bank accounts!
Thanks to the author, NetGalley, and Inkubator books for an advance reader's copy.

Amelia and Paige are colleagues, both married, both yoga instructors, and become close friends. Their daughters, Marnie and Taryn are at the same school, and become best friends too. Amelia's problems begin when she buys a dress online, and is the victim of a scam. Her friend Paige is very good with computers, and helps Amelia to get her money back, but from then on, Amelia's life seems to be nothing but problems, one after the other. Her job is affected, money vanishes from her bank account, her marriage is on shaky ground. She turns to Paige, who is sympathetic, but Amelia begins to wonder if that sympathy is genuine, or is something going on with Paige that Amelia knows nothing about.
The story is told from the viewpoints of the mothers and the daughters, and after a slow but tense build up, the plot takes off into a gripping roller coaster ride, with an ending I did not expect. I read this book in one sitting, as I could not wait to see what happened next.
Thank you for my advance copy.

💭 My Thought :
Miranda Rijks truly knows how to twist a reader’s mind—and You Can Trust Me is psychological warfare at its finest. Right from the opening chapter, I was stunned. A teenage killer? That reveal slapped me awake and pulled me straight into this chilling nightmare.
What unfolds next is a slow, venomous attack dressed up as friendship. Paige is pure evil—strategic, manipulative, and merciless. She doesn’t just want to ruin Amelia… she wants to become her. And she’ll stop at nothing to take over her life—her business, her home, her marriage, and her child.
Watching Amelia unravel was both painful and powerful. I screamed inside, wishing she’d see the truth sooner. But I never gave up on her. She may have been slow to catch on, but when she rose—she fought back hard. She protected herself. She protected Marnie.
And oh, how I adored Marnie. Brave, quiet, smart—she was the soul of this story. Even as the adults played twisted games, Marnie saw the cracks. She is a character I will carry with me.
Hudson and Dean—I pay my sympathy. Their flaws didn’t make them villains, just tragic pieces in Paige’s cruel puzzle.
And as for Taryan… chilling doesn’t even begin to cover it. That girl gave me goosebumps. Cold, calculated, and terrifying beyond her years.
This book isn’t just a thriller—it’s a sharp reminder that the real monsters might be smiling across your kitchen table.
If you love fast-paced psychological thrillers filled with betrayal, twisted friendships, shocking teens, and fierce survival—you’ll devour this one.
🌟 5 stars from me!

Thank you NetGalley and Inkubator Books for an early copy of You Can Trust Me. Whoa this was a WINNER!!!! Paige is SICK, like PSYCHO sick. Who knew Taryn was the same? Great plot, great characters, great Book. The gaslighting that was done to Amelia was nuts. I’m sad the book is over, I really enjoyed it.

I absolutely love Miranda Rijks books and was super excited to immerse myself in her latest book. There were multiple twists and a lot going on between the characters. Great story, very suspenseful and fast paced- it was really hard to put it down! Loved the characters and multiple points of view. This author never disappoints. Love her writing style and can’t wait for her next book! Definitely recommend.. Thank you to NetGalley, Miranda Rijks and Inkubator Books for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a fast paced thriller. Very wild concept from start to finish. I found the conflict to be a bit juvenile for grown women and unrealistic at times. A lot of mentions that the main character is "crazy" and that's why she is doing bad things. I thought the author did a good job with the different character point of views. I did not care for how much derogatory language against lesbians was in this. Some of it came out of nowhere from different characters. I was able to predict the ending and felt like it took too long for things to be figured out. I do think if people want a quick read and enjoy melodrama this would be a good fit. A quick summer read on the beach.

This was a fun and wild ride. I love Toxic female friendships and this scratched the itch for a binge worthy read. Miranda always hooks me in with her twisted tales of scandal and deceipt.

You Can Trust Me really puts the psycho in psychological suspense. Loaded with so many secrets, lies, and deception, this twisty thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat to the very last page. Miranda Rijks is a new to me author, and I will be checking out more of her many thrillers after reading this one!
It all starts with a scam order of a new dress for Amelia's life to start unraveling. Fellow yoga instructor and friend Paige comes to the rescue, and it brings them closer. Their daughters also become good friends, so it's like one big, happy circle. But we all know what shows on the outside is not always what is happening on the inside. As Amelia's marriage unravels and her finances are in the toilet, Paige becomes more desperate to "help."
This fast-paced read is so filled with tension you'll find yourself holding your breath. Alternating perspectives gives the reader a clear view into the minds of all the main characters and the evilness that lives within. The well thought out twist at the end will leave you reeling. This is a must read!
Thanks to Netgalley and Inkubator Books for the advanced copy

You Can Trust Me is a gripping psychological thriller that expertly creates a constant sense of unease.
From the very first chapters, the story feels anxiety-inducing—not because of fast action or graphic scenes, but because something always feels off.
You spend most of the book unsure of why things are happening the way they are, constantly questioning every character’s intentions and doubting everyone, which keeps the tension consistently high.
Interestingly, this isn’t a traditional “whodunit” mystery. As readers, we know exactly who is doing what, thanks to the alternating POVs of the main characters. That said, the real suspense comes not from uncovering the culprit, but from watching the psychological manipulation unfold and wondering how far it will go—and when things will finally snap.
There is, however, a solid plot twist toward the end. While I personally saw it coming, it was still satisfying and effective. It completely shifts the reader’s perspective on the story and adds an extra layer of depth to the narrative. It doesn’t rely on shock value but instead recontextualizes much of what we thought we understood.
Miranda Rijks does a great job of building tension slowly, creating an atmosphere that feels both claustrophobic and unpredictable.
The book isn’t about flashy reveals; it’s about the slow, creeping realization that you can’t trust anyone—not even yourself.
If you’re looking for a domestic thriller that keeps your nerves on edge and your mind spinning, this is a strong pick.

The twists in You Can Trust Me come hard and fast! Amelia has fallen victim to a scam - a crappy dress that obviously was a fake and too expensive for what she received. That one mistake will cost her - her reputation, her husband, her daughter, her job - are all on the line.
Told from multiple points of view, You Can Trust Me is a solid read that really brings the suspense. Great twists!

This book gave me the same feeling that reading The Lord of the Flies in middle school did. It reminded me that some people could be so terrible and so vindictive, and it's unpleasant to be reminded of that.
Amelia's life looks perfect from the outside but it is far from. Unfortunately, Amelia, whom we are told was once a pharmacist, is portrayed as a bit too naive and trusting, almost simple minded. This sets her up to be the perfect victim for the conniving Paige, a co-worker at a yoga studio. At first we don't understand why Paige is so intent on picking on Amelia, but it feels like a case of envy meeting a too easy target. Fairly early on, Paige drugs Amelia and manipulates her into giving up her banking information, which quickly leaves her account drained.
What makes it worse is that Paige quickly ensconces herself as Amelia's best friend and forces her daughter Taryn to befriend Marnie, Amelia's daughter. Amelia is bewildered at everything happening to her but with Paige as her only friend, she gets no clarity.
The reader is lead to believe that the friendship that develops between reluctant opposites, Taryn and Marnie is the only sweet, honest thing in the book. We are wrong.
From career ending rumors, to repo men at the door, to a distant husband that lied, a manipulative thief, bent on ruining her life, Amelia is lucky to still be standing at the end of this book. Even her daughter is catfished and blackmailed in a manner that ends up being even more devastating because of the source.
It was a weird mix of people who were soooo awful and people who were way too naive and they collided because once upon a time, a crowded ER prioritized one sick child over another.
It was well written but sort of icky. Not the kind of people I want in my life.

Amelia is yoga Instructor at ‘Vitality with Vanessa’. There are other instructors and although they don’t socialize a lot they are looking forward to one their colleague’s wedding. They do get together before the wedding for coffee and talk about what they are going to wear. They all share what they will be wearing. Amelia is excited about a dress she ordered on-line from London.
However, later when the dress arrives it is nothing like what she ordered and actually came from China and not London. . She tells her colleagues what happened and states she knows she was a victim of an online scam, Paige a colleague helps her out as she has fantastic computer skills; she checks the site and immediately knowns it is not legitimate and offers to help Amelia. Paige does send a letter which results in Amelia getting her money back. So Paige is her hero
However, Paige is good at being a con artist. When she sees what a good life Amelia has and her life is the opposite she has her own plan. She knows how to scam Amelia’s money, She then destroying her business, and tries to do the same to Amelia’s marriage; all while pretending to be a good friend.
This part of the story was not a comfortable read. Hated what was happening to Amelia.
I have read many Rijks’ stories so was sure Ms. Rijks has a way to outsmart Paige!!!
Yikes! The ‘Big Reveal’ had me ready to throw the book across the room.
Sure fooled me!!!
This story, of course is good, but certainly more evil than I expected.
Miranda Rijks has written twenty-three psychological thrillers, and this is only my Eleventh!
However, I knew when I read the first one that I had found a new fav author!
I always enjoy reading the Author’s notes and/or Acknowledgements. In her’ Letter than Miranda’ she tells us this story was inspired by her own personal scam with a clothing order. The item was nothing like the picture- in fact, she states was hideous. She contacted the shop requesting a refund. They said it was too late and could not issue a refund.
Thankfully her credit card company came to her rescue and gave her a refund.
Then her imagination took off and Paige popped into her head.
She also tells us that like Amelia’s daughter Marnie she too had Meningitis when she was young
