i was intrigued by this book because it gave the Chitty Chitty child catcher vibes. back to our investigator Kincaid in Belfast. this book is pacey and immersive with the descriptions giving you the excitement you want from a thriller.
we also get to learn and see more from Jacob which i really like in series and thriller books. and in this book the balance is done really well between the story and character building. you get a witty and comedic humour from the local setting and its the dry type which is a win for me. these goes nicely and make the other more deeper themes more impactful and real.
