Another great book done. Thank you again for the great read.

A beautiful wrap-up to the Maxton Hall trilogy! Happily Ever Afters all around.
While I don't think readers will be surprised by the Beaufort turn of events (they probably had suspicions early on), I still think the resolution offers a satisfying conclusion for fans. I can't wait to see this translate to season 3 of the show!
And despite Save Us providing closure for Graham and Lydia, Kesh and Allistair, and Ember and Wren, Maxton Hall is still very much Ruby and James's love story—a binding love that overcomes class and socioeconomic divisions yet still encourages independence and the freedom to cultivate meaning and passion, together or apart.
Also, Aunt Ophelia was a fabulous character—so glad James and Lydia have her in their corner!
With all the interests Ember, Lydia, and Ophelia shared, I kept thinking they'd somehow go into the women's fashion business together, but that can just remain canon for me! 🤣
So grateful to have received these ARCs and for the early glimpse into the rest of the Maxton Hall story!

I devoured the first two books of this series, and could not wait to get my hands on this one. Ultimately, though, it didn’t have the same addictive quality as the others. There’s always been melodrama and predictability in this series (in the best way!) but this one lacked the tension and propulsion that they brought before.
I’m glad I read the series and still highly recommend it to fans of the show. I just wanted more thrill to the finale.

3.5 Stars.
🏰 The vibes:
- Fancy private school
- Good girl / bad boy
- Book 3 in trilogy
- Rich kids behaving badly
- New adult
- Open door
🏰 My thoughts:
As the final wrap up to Maxton Hall, I wasn’t ready for this to be over. The book jumps right into where we left off in the last book, and the drama continues.
🏰 I had some issues with the pacing in a few storylines. The middle started dragging for me, while the wrap up with Mortimer felt like it maybe wrapped up too nicely, too quickly. I also wasn’t fully invested in Wren and Ember’s plot. I liked the taste of it, but it didn’t give me all that I wanted it to. I didn’t get to see enough of Wren’s evolution on page to fully believe it or be invested in it. I almost wished that Alistair’s POV was replaced with more depth for Wren/Ember.
🏰 I love Ruby, and her relationship with her family, especially with her sister, was so special. I loved seeing a FMC have two parents who are alive (😆) who are involved and loving. The parents don’t always make the right call that we, as the reader, know is the right call- but they love and support eachother always.
🏰 James and Ruby are the standouts of this series! The way that their love for eachother grew and matured was such a good journey. Individually, their paths hurt and healed all at the same time. I felt like a proud little book auntie seeing James grow through each book. As far as the side characters, there’s a lot of room for spin offs and I’m curious if this happens.
🏰 Re: the teacher/student relationship, it certainly seems like this series tries to justify this by explaining that these individuals met online and had no idea how old they were when they met and fell in love. It tries to make this relationship feel okay, but I had MAJOR issues with the age gap when it involved a child/minor. The book never acknowledges this as a moral problem, simply as a workplace conflict.
🏰 Book is set in the UK, so their age for drinking is different from the US, but lots of highschool parting involving alcohol, drugs, and sexual activities mentioned. This book is labeled New Adult - not YA, which I appreciated.
Note- language; open door (1 scene); M/M relationship amongst side characters in the series; one of the characters involved has a POV in this book, so we do see more of that relationship on
Release date: November 4, 2025.

I’ve been devouring these books and absolutely love this series! I even rewatched Maxton Hall on Prime and I think they do an incredible job adapting this story. I cannot wait until Season 2 premiers this November.
After the extreme angst at the end of Save Me, I was dying to know what happens next. The father continues to be an abusive tyrant so please be prepared for how this book begins (CW: physical, emotional abuse), however that conflict gets resolved and then it’s just good times. This book is less about Ruby & James being apart, but about how the group of friends & families from different classes blend together, support each other and become true friends. It’s so fun to see everyone just living in this world.
Save Us continues introducing new POV characters, which I won’t spoil here, but since every chapter is telling a different person’s experience and their side of the story, the books became real page turners for me. Since there are 3 books in the series the happy times and angsty times have more room for us to linger in all the emotions. I would say about 85% of Save Us is happy times and while there are bookend conflicts around James’s father Mortimer, there are some incredibly sweet & romantic moments. If you’re invested in Ruby & James you will not be disappointed! In fact, I loved all the characters’ resolutions and it made me very happy.
– Thanks to Berkeley & NetGalley for the ARC! –

This is exactly what I needed this to be. Especially after the way that Save You ended!
And wow did I finish this fast, I had to even start covering the pages because I was jumping ahead and didn’t want to spoil it for myself
We got even more POV’s and they were everything I needed! Ruby and James continue to be at the forefront of the story, yet they are continually faced with more and more obstacles. And I really feel like Lydia and Graham finally shined.

Ruby Bell's careful planning and hard work toward achieving her dream of studying at Oxford University goes up in smoke when a picture of her and a teacher in a compromising position is shared with Maxton Hall's head teacher. She's only just reconciled with her love, James Beaufort, and finding out that the pictures originated on his phone might be too much for their fragile relationship to survive.
This is the third and final book in the Maxton Hall series. You need to read these in series order to understand what's going on.
I was extremely hyped to get my hands on this one, because I'm fully obsessed with Maxton Hall and Ruby/James. I was dying to see how they made it through all of the ups and downs of Maxton Hall, and started this immediately upon finishing Save You. While I am overall happy with how Ruby and James' love story concluded, I unfortunately didn't super love this book.
My main issue is that there are just way too many POVs in this one. I didn't mind Lydia in Save You, but I didn't like Ember. I liked having her POV even less in this one, and really didn't need the addition of Graham and Alistair on top of it. All four of those POVs directly took away from time with Ruby and James, and that was really all I wanted out of this final installment.
I think the epilogue may be new to the English edition, and if so, I am super glad that it was added. It did give me the sense of closure that I was hoping for.
I still love these characters and this universe so much, and I am so grateful to have gotten to read the books!

Wow! What a great ride! I love this series so much. The book opens on the fallout of the doctored photo of Graham and Ruby “kissing”. This time, we get a few chapters from just about everyone’s perspective and it’s so great to have more than two pov’s compared to the first book now that we know all the characters. Ruby & James are wonderful and it was so good to go on this journey of growth for all of them, not just the primary two. Highly recommend this series!!!!! Comes out November 4th!

This one had some solid moments, but overall it felt a little too all over the place for me. Ruby and James have been through so much at this point, and while I appreciated the emotional growth and higher stakes, the story kept getting bogged down by way too many POVs. Every time I started to get into a scene, we’d suddenly jump into someone else’s head and not all of them added anything useful.
I still rooted for Ruby, and James definitely had some redeeming moments, but the constant back-and-forth, the school drama, and the family pressure made the story feel heavier than it needed to be. There were some sweet and swoony scenes, but it just didn’t hit the same way anymore.
I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. Just somewhere in between.

I couldn't stop this series until it ended- super engrossing with all around lovely characters. Loved the continued character development with the supporting cast of characters including James, Ember, Wren, and Lydia. James had to fight for the way he wanted his life to proceed, but the resolution of this series was pitch perfect. And it is definitely believable to imagine that these prep school sweethearts are going to go the long haul- Ruby and James are the perfectly imperfect pair.
Thanks to #NetGalley and #Berkley Publishing Group for the ARC.

It breaks my heart rating this as a 3. I loved Save Me & Save You! But Save Us was NOT doing it for me. It seemed to drag on. The multiple POVs were unnecessary and made the pacing slower than it already was.
Ruby & James’s relationship remained adorable and for the stars. I was happy to see them grow and overcome hurdles and obstacles. I was so proud of James! I was waiting for him to grow a backbone, and he definitely did.
Overall, the entire series, I would rate a 4.
Thank you, BERKLEY ROMANCE
& NetGalley for my gifted advanced book copy.
All my reviews are my own opinion. 💕

3.5⭐️ – I enjoyed Save Us as the final book in the Maxton Hall series. There were too many points of view this time around, which made it feel a bit scattered. I found myself missing the deeper focus on Ruby and James’ story.
The ending felt a bit rushed, wrapping things up too quickly, but I did appreciate that it delivered a HEA. Overall, while it didn’t quite live up to the earlier books for me, it was still a satisfying conclusion. I can’t wait to see how this story is adapted for the show!

•My Thoughts•
Yay for a happy ending for this hot mess of characters. I loved the growth they showed and I’m feeling rather parentally proud (this book made me feel old) of them as they navigated hard decisions, learned to be good friends and just started growing up. I had a lot of issues with a particular situation between a teacher and a student and no matter how they tried to guide the narrative, it still gave me big ick. There were a few plot points that I wish were given more attention and a few that felt unnecessary but this finale absolutely delivered the bingeable entertainment I’ve enjoyed from the previous books. This was a wild ride, friends, but something about it made me come back for more. Read if you enjoy teenagers behaving badly, high angst and so much drama combined with sweet moments and character growth that makes you want to applaud.
Thank you to Berkeley Publishing and Mona Kasten for the early copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I absolutely love this series and "Save Us" was a great ending. I am continually shocked how much I loved this series as it's not my normal read but the characters and execution of the story pulled me in.
Once again we had additional POVs in this book which added greatly to the progression of the story. This will definitely be a series that I'll re-read and I'll be recommending it to everyone
Rated 4 stars. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC ebook.

What a perfect ending to the series! I enjoyed this book so much, possibly even more than the first one. I loved seeing the development of Ruby and James's relationship and seeing others like Graham and Lydia, Alistair and Kesh, and Ember and Wren!! It was so nice to read from different perspectives, and I will definitely miss their found family. Once again, thank you to the publisher for giving me a chance to read the whole series, I will never forget it!!

Well, the romance trilogy of my wildest teenage dreams has come to an end, and I’m not kidding: my inner teenager ate this whole entire trilogy up like it was my favorite ice cream and I was in serious need of eating my feelings. Even at its soapiest and on-the-verge of cringe moments, Save Us kept me smiling, swooning, and curling my toes. And yes, I shed a few drops of eye water.
Most of the time, I’m a woman who likes her books very dark and very complex. I like things to be beautiful but terrible and I’m quite the glutton for spice. Every once and awhile, though, characters capture my heart and I find a part of myself needing to sink into something nostalgic, if not for the time period the story is set in then for the feeling the story evokes in me. The Maxton Hall series is the type of book series I wanted to write when I was a teenager and wanted to be a novelist myself.
Save Us has an even wider net of narratives than Save You had as the end of the academic year nears and the stakes raise for all of our characters. These adults–who are just barely adults–are either being forced to make choices they never should have to make at their age or they’re being forced outright to do things that should be within their right to control. Adults who should be setting good examples are instead acting criminally and corruptly. The best thing that can come from such chaos is knowing who your friends and family truly are because they’re the ones who are still with you when the dust settles. 4⭐️

1.5 stars. Thank you NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for this eARC!
No, no, and NO. You know, I’m glad for James and Ruby because FINALLY. I truly do not think this should be a trilogy. At most, I think it would be fine as a duology or even just one book tbfh. Once again, the extra POVs were interesting (some), but others should’ve been left out completely because excuse me, I am not reading for any of you besides James and Ruby.
The grooming situation?? Hello?? Are we just gonna ignore that?? Reminded me too much of PLL where literally no one cared. That is all I am gonna say about this book because I am honestly glad to just be done.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
4.5 ⭐️
This was such a great end to the trilogy!! Book 1 really set up the series with all the drama and angst, book 2 was enjoyable, but more like filler content, but this book had all the action! So much happened and I love how everything was wrapped up!

I really enjoyed the way Mona wrapped up this series. I loved each and every character. I would love for these characters to be followed into college or even a book solely for Ember and Wren.

✨ARC Review✨
4.5 ⭐ for Save Us by Mona Kasten
James and Ruby had me invested from the very first book (and episode because I loved the show) and I loved this last installment of the series. They definitely go ~through it~ on their path to their HEA, but I feel like the obstacles made their relationship stronger in the end.
I loved the addition of Graham and Alistair's POVs in this one, as well as the ones we already had in Save Me and Save You. I felt like these different POVs added depth to the story, and I enjoyed all of them immensely, especially Graham and Lydia's.
I can't say too much without giving away key elements of the story, so I'll just say this: I loved how each character's arc ended, and also loved how there's potential to revisit this world in the future, if the author ever decided to. A great YA series!
Thank you to Berkley and Netgalley for a copy in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.
