This is a very informative book for those of us taking a glp-1. The explanations of side effects, along with general information makes this an invaluable reference tool when taking any of the medications.

This is a great book if you are getting started with GLP-1's as it literally breaks down every subject you could possibly think of. From nausea to fatigue to constipation, reflux....to supplements to take, working out your BMR, to eventually weaning yourself off the meds. I think this is definitely a great resource for anybody who is wanting to start this journey.
The only thing I wish there was, was perhaps a sample food menu, something very basic just as a guide, but otherwise, a fantastic resource.

I found this book very informative in all things nutrition. It tells you everything you need to know why taking a glp 1 solution. I find that even if you aren’t taking it that it still gives great nutrition advice on how to better your metabolism and eat intuitively. I definitely recommend this book if you are taking a glp 1 or even if you are about to ween off as it has great tips for that too!
Thank you NetGalley and Adams Media for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book has a ton of good information in it, especially for anyone new to glp1 medications. The author addresses side effects, diet, and exercise which are all important on this journey. The only thing I didn’t like was the way chapters were broken down into tiny mini-chapters that were a page or less long. Made it hard to “flow” with the writing. But the author definitely covered almost everything I wanted to know about glp1s and what to expect while talking them.

This was so informative! Nice easy read with valuable information. Would highly recommend to anyone on mounjaro!

I thought this was a great. It's a fairly quick read and easy to read without feeling fully like you're reading out of a medical paper. It's friendly and gives you the tips you need to maximize your use of GLP-1 and I definitely took some tips and tricks from it.

This was a very informative book with all the information needed in one place. I loved how all the information would be summed up for the reader at the end of the chapter because there is so much good information thrown out at you. Great read for anyone thinking of trying this medication.

I really liked the information presented in the book about nourishing mental health. I learned about alpha and theta waves and have used them to help me sleep via youtube - an alternative to the white or pink noise that I usually use.

This book is a must read for anyone who takes GLP-1s. I decided to give this a read because I personally take Zepbound and had questions needing answers and wanted tips on how to adjust my lifestyle with this drug. The outline of the book is well put together and literally has all the information you could want or need when taking a GLP-1.
The book is a guide from beginning of your journey and follows you through so that you can make healthy decisions that will positively impact your life. You also get what I consider a “dummy” guide for nutrition that spells out all the proteins, calories, vitamins, meals and more so that you can understand without being overwhelmed. Along with nutrition the book has a focus on your mental and physical well being and it helps guide you in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
And in the end to wrap it all up we get a look into what it looks like when we have to ultimately transition off the GLP-1, because if you are taking these then you know it isn’t a permeant solution, we are meant to navigate and transform like the beautiful butterflies we are and come out a healthier and better version of ourselves.

A very detailed and helpful guide! Answers every question you would need to know about weight loss injections

The GLP-1 Solution is a great little handbook providing a range of advice for people taking GLP-1 medications (ozempic, mounjaro, etc). Nothing in the book is revelatory - eat well, move more, and get enough sleep are the key messages. But it distils this advice into handy bite sized tips providing a range of options. E.g. there are probably a dozen different tips for getting more protein in your diet, and a bunch of different ways to approach sleeping better. It feels like it is providing you with some manageable options, maybe you can't do X, but you can try Y or Z. Best of all it is not judgemental or moralistic, it just gives the facts and tips in straightforward language.
My only disappointment was that it didn't give suggestions for specific web tools, e.g. calculators for working out your BMR, calorie counting, etc. I hope nobody actually uses the equations in the book when it is so easy to do it online!

I’m so happy that more and more books are coming out about GLP-1 drugs and all that goes along with taking them. I’ve been on one for about a year now and have had success. I was still able to learn a lot from reading Beasley’s book. It is well-organized and contains a wealth of information to explore. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
