This one had some potential, but most of the conversations between the characters were too obvious and surface-level. I didn't feel any chemistry between the two main characters and they had very little personality between the two of them. Was a cute short story if you need a quick palate cleanser.

This literally was a short but sweet novella, although didn't feel like it!
Didn't seem rushed and details were not scrimped on, but it obviously didn't go overboard on non important details.
Cute storyline with likable characters.
Perfect easy read.

is a quiet, thoughtful romance with strong character work and a setting that feels lived-in. The pacing is slow but intentional, and I appreciated how the story focused just as much on personal growth as it did on the romance. A solid read for fans of introspective contemporary fiction.

Thrifted Hearts was a quick read about two rich kids trying to chart a life for themselves outside of the country club. They have a meet cute at a thrift store, and mistaken identities and secrets abound.

I enjoyed the relationships the MCs had with their best friends! The thrift store setting also had potential; I wish that would have been explored more. The characters all seemed like stereotypes (at one point Noah even says that he thought all rich people were the same), and I was wanting a bit more nuance, even from a novella. The pacing was odd in places, especially with the instalove feeling forced at the beginning.

Thank you NetGalley for a free e-copy for an honest review

For a novella, this was a quick read to get lost in and something that you didn’t need to really concentrate on. I will definitely read from this author again.

We follow a rich FMC who wants to escape that life, and her attempts of making a difference for people. Our MMC is also from a wealthy family, but keeps bumping into the woman he met at the thrift store... Both are hesitant because of the class assumptions, but their connection is unavoidable. Also, I really liked both of the best friends in this - they were brilliant with support and very funny. I liked the plot and settings, the evil women from the upper class were so hateable and definitely connected me to the story more. Loved seeing the FMC guide him about living a less privileged life, and brought him more down-to-earth!

Thrifted Hearts was a quick and easy read, however I felt it did not hold my attention. Being an avid thrifter, I was excited to read a story setting in a thrift store, but this completely fell flat for me. I do like the concept of being yourself, regardless of one’s parents visions of who you should be and a “rich” upbringing, but this novella was just not for me.

‘Thrifted Hearts’ reads like a cute Hallmark movie. While its brevity limits character development, it offers an accessible, escapist read that’s nice for a cozy afternoon (seriously, it’s just 75 pages). That said, I didn’t love the stereotypical portrayal of some of the wealthy characters—particularly Noah’s naïveté about life beyond his privileged bubble. Still, his connection with Anna and her service work was endearing. It’s not the most realistic story, but its wholesomeness, simplicity, and happy ending are part of the charm. This lighthearted novella has just enough heart to satisfy.

Special thanks to NetGalley for the complimentary copy. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Thrifted Hearts was a light-hearted romance which had me captured from the very first page. Although short and sweet, there was a lot to enjoy in these pages.

The FMC is Anna, an heiress who turned her back on it all to make a difference by volunteering at the thrift store. One day, in walks Noah to the store, searching for an antique clock that was donated by a scorned ex. Unbeknownst to them both, they both come from very similar lives. What follows is a tale of romance which had a very Cinderella-inspired feel. This story was a great story to kick me out of a reading slump and I'm desperate to know more about Anna and Noah's story.

This was really cute! It definitely hasn't been done before so the originality was pretty cool. the dynamic of the characters was well developed and kept the story driven.

This was a cute little read! I was not able to put it down! I'm glad that I was able to get this book. It was a reminder to all love stories that money can not buy happiness. It is okay to leave what you are comfy with to find what you need!

This was such a sweet and short read. I had a really good time reading it and it was perfect for a light read.

The story is about Anna and Noah, who are more likely than they think to begin. It’s about new beginnings and being true to yourself.

Read this if you want a light hearted read. The writing wasn’t anything special, it even felt at times a bit flat but it was still an enjoyable read. I will definitely read more by T. Atkins if I get the chance to do so!

Thank you to NetGalley for this Earc!

Anna and Noah have a bit of a meet-cute at the thrift store where Anna works. Little do they both know that they're just two super-rich kids who simply want to exist and fall in love like a couple of normies but instead they're pressured by their families to conform to the demands of high society. This is a quick and sweet novella with insta-attraction and predominant themes of coming to terms with who you really are and what you want in life. It was cute enough but there's not really all that much that's new here. Both have wise-cracking best friends who support and love them both, which was a nice sub-plot. Anna and Noah were likable, even though there were definitely classist preconceived ideas on Noah's part. Honestly, I think I liked Anna more than Noah but they were sweet together. This is a low-steam romance with an HEA, and a great way to spend an evening. :) 3.5 stars overall. One last thing: why on earth didn't Noah press charges against his ex for the clock's disappearance? I sure would have, but I guess I just don't understand how the rich do things lol. Thank you to NetGalley for providing a complimentary copy of this book, all opinions are my own.

Rating: 3 stars!

If you made a highlight reel of a highlight reel of a cutesy romance book, you would have: Thrifted Hearts. There wasn't a whole lot of mystery of what the premise of the book is since its so short, and there isn't a lot of mystery going on between the main characters, but for a sub-100 page short story, it was cute! If you love thrift stores, happily ever afters, and quick reads, you would enjoy this!

An enjoyable shirt story with cozy vibes and a small message of being yourself is the most important thing.
Wish it was slightly longer so we could do more of a dive into the backgrounds of the MC and into their relationship but overall a cozy read

I am reminding myself that as a novella, of course it’s not going to be incredibly detailed with lots of rich backstory BUT I did still feel kind of dropped into the middle of a story like I should know these people already. While did enjoy the premise of this and finished reading it, I think the *insta* love trope is just not for me, which is not any fault to the author, just my own opinion. Other than that it was a quick, fun story about two people that are looking for a change and end up finding each other as well.

This quick and sweet story has all the makings of a modern Cinderella tale, complete with new beginnings, second chances, and the spark of unexpected love.

Anna’s journey toward reclaiming her identity and stepping out from the shadow of her family’s expectations was the emotional heart of the story. Her character showed glimpses of depth and growth, and I appreciated the message of letting go in order to move forward.
However, I found myself wishing for more time with the characters. The fast pace left little room for the romance to feel fully earned, and I personally struggled to connect with Noah as a love interest. His reactions, particularly in moments of conflict, felt overly dramatic and, at times, ungrounded, making it difficult to root for the relationship. He just didn’t quite live up to the “book boyfriend” potential I was hoping for. That said, I really enjoyed the side storyline featuring Jessie and Carter, which added charm and a sense of warmth to the narrative. With a bit more development and emotional layering, this story could have had an even stronger impact.

Thrifted Hearts has a lovely premise and a sincere message at its core. I look forward to seeing how T. Atkins continues to grow as a storyteller.

this was an enjoyable short novella. I liked the main characters, Anna and Noah and their best friends also. there was a lot of insta love happening though, which is not one of my favorite tropes.

This was a really good novella! I liked the characters, although the main couple felt a bit flat sometimes (but I get it, since it was a novella and the author didn't have the same liberty has she would on a full length book). I liked the side couple too, and the irony of that ending!
