Thrifted Hearts is a quick and very easy novella. I loved the setting at the thrift store but once the story started to take off it began to lose me. The focus felt like it was completely centered around social status and not the budding romance between Noah and Anna. The two have very little chemistry. The writing started to fall flat for me and the dialogue between Carter and Jessie was slightly cringey. There were some parts of the book that confused me. Anna’s teenage room was a 90’s capsule… considering I was 10 years old on 95 and I’m now 40…. Exactly how old were Anna and Noah in this story?! Because the author made it sound like it was her room while she was an older teen making her almost mid 40s?!? Yet her, Noah and their friends Carter and Jessie acted like immature 20 year olds. I don’t think the author thought that part through when writing it into the story. Another odd part was Anna being familiar with Taylor and them running in a small social circle but not knowing her boyfriend at the time they were together. That seemed pretty far fetched. I really wanted to like this story but it just wasn’t for me.

Anna had always lived her life according to plan, her parents plan, but when that plan started to feel more like a cage than a dream, she makes a bold decision. She walked away from the life that was made for her for something real and she didn’t expect Noah. This was such a cute story and I really connected to the characters.

This book is a salute to new love, secind chances and new beginnings.. so cute. Thank you to netgalley for letting me read this e arc in exchange for an honest opinion

3* An afternoon read.
I wanted a quick read as a change from murder mysteries and thrillers. This uncomplicated novella, Thrifted Hearts, fitted the bill. It's a cosy romance with a happy ending. It's also cheesy, Hallmarky and stereotypical with some badly behaved characters. At only 94 pages long, it suited me for a lazy afternoon.

Noah's priceless grandmother's clock was donated by a vindictive ex girlfriend so he goes to the thrift shop expecting to hunt it down. What does actually find? A beautiful girl named Anna who devotes time to help him find this clock. Days later the clock turns up and she calls Noah who repays her by taking her to lunch. After that lunch things fall into place where both Anna and Noah like each other. They are two people from the same wealthy, suffocating lifestyle but don't know each other; however, they both want different lives for themselves. Anna loves to volunteer and wants to give back inspiring Noah to see the good in her and want her more. Eventually she finds out who he really is but then at a gala they both attend Anna's true wealthy identity comes out. Will Noah feel betrayed or still want something with her?
This was a cute, sweet novella and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was an interesting storyline and liked the concept. I just wished the ending wouldn't have been so quick to wrap up. I feel like it was missing something. Overall, I would recommend for a quick romance read!
Thanks to NetGalley, T. Atkins, and Victory Editing Group for allowing me to review this ARC!

This novella had a lot of potential. I liked the cozy thrift store setting, and it could’ve been such a cute comfort read. But the pacing was a bit slow (in my opinion), the writing felt a little juvenile at times and I struggled to feel any real chemistry between the characters.
Anna’s constant back and forth got frustrating and the main conflict didn’t feel necessary. Their meet cute at the beginning was literally just Noah asking for help at the thrift store, Anna leading him to the antique section, and saying, “maybe it’s in the back—leave your number at the front.” Like… nice? But he thought she worked there, so wasn’t she just doing her job? It just didn't feel like the big meaningful moment the rest of the story treated it as.
In the end though, it’s a chill, low stakes romance that might work for some people. It just didn’t do a lot for me.

Oh my gosh! So dang cute! Everything you need in clean, closed door romance wrapped up in a novella! My first from this author—hoping this is maybe the start of a series??? Would love to read more! *I received a complimentary ARC from the author/publishing company via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Shoutout to Netgalley for the ARC read. Even though it was a short story, it was a romance that you wouldn't want to miss out on. Nothing was dragged out, but straight to the point. I hope Anna and Noah's love story continues.
Anna-just trying to find herself without having her family money tied to her name. Finding her meaning to life and trying to get away from a society that seems to only care about money and appearances.
Noah-who thought had his life all together until he met Anna. Realized what he was missing out on and what was most important to him.
Carter and Jessie: both loyal to their friends. Like best friends who tell it like it is.
This was such a cute romance read.

Absolutely adorable!! A quick, satisfying little read with great characters and a wonderful setting. Would definitely recommend.

This was such a cute Mistaken Identity romance! The opening was really easy to picture thanks to the author’s vivid descriptions. One of my favorite micro tropes popped up, the Well-Meaning Meddler, and I loved that. I’m also a big fan of secondary characters playing a strong role, and for such a short novella, it handled that really well with the family on both sides.
I enjoy reading novellas like this when I’m in a bit of a book slump, they’re the perfect reset. While it’s not exactly instalove (which I personally love), the romance kicks in pretty quickly, and the story stays focused on it. It’s a sweet, short romance with just enough drama to keep things interesting without ever feeling overwhelming.
3 Stars: Comfy and entertaining.

Thrifted Hearts MADE my weekend of thrifting and beach-going! This novella was the perfect read while getting some sun after my morning of thrifting. It definitely put me in a good mood for the rest of the day.
T. Atkins packed quite a punch in this short story, enough to make you swoon a little (its a very sweet story) and have hope for what some may have given up on. The main characters (Anna & Noah) are well rounded, as is the story line (perfect movement throughout) with an ending to make you smile for an extended period of time. It is definitely a feel good read!
Add this to your e-reader ASAP...it's the perfect "instant gratification" type read and a wonderful introduction to T. Atkins if you aren't already familiar with her.
I received this as an ARC from Netgalley and have chosen to leave my honest feedback.

Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for this ARC
I clicked on this because the cute cover drew me in, I needed something light-hearted and it's a novella of 94 pages so can be read in about an hour.
However, the moment I realised this is about American classism (rich people with a "family name") I was instantly turned off. Americans always go on about how everyone is created equal, yet they are more obsessed with class and old money than a British person will ever be.
Noah Whitmore comes from a wealthy family and has snobby parents. Anna Davenport comes from a wealty family and has snobby parents but she volunteers in a thrift store or as we Brits would say, a charity shop, which makes her a "good" rich person. Yet it doesn't look like she has an actual, paying job? No idea what Noah does either.
Much is made of Noah falling in love with a seemingly poor girl, like Cinderella stories aren't totally clichéd. Now I know it's difficult to give characters in a novella a proper background and individual traits but it felt like the author didn't even try. It was just a case of insta love after two terrible exes. Carter and Jennie were more fun than those two!
If you need a lighthearted palate cleanser, this will do, but it's terribly predictable and forgettable, plus it's also quite a conservative story at its heart. No points for originality here!

Thrifted Hearts by T. Atkins grabbed me from the first paragraph and I couldn't put it down.
This was such a quick, lighthearted, heartwarming read.
Such a devourable story! This book was exactly what I wanted and needed.

This story about learning to let go and find yourself hit me right in the feels. Anna’s journey of breaking free from her parents’ plan and trying to build her own life felt really honest and relatable. Noah was a great match he’s done with the drama and ready for something real, but the past keeps pulling them both back.
I liked how the book balanced sweet romance with the weight of secrets and personal growth. It wasn’t perfect, but the emotional depth and chemistry kept me invested. If you enjoy slow-burn love stories with characters figuring out who they really are, this one’s worth a read.

This was a great, short, lighthearted read. This story will make you believe in new beginnings and second chances. What a great storyline. I can't wait to read more by T. Atkins.

I really enjoyed this short story! Most short stories I read feel slightly rushed but I really liked the plot development and how the timing worked. I thought it was relatable and heartwarming. I really liked Noah’s character development and enjoyed the story as a whole.

Thrifted Hearts by T. Atkins is a sweet, fast-paced romance that begins in the most charming of places—a thrift store. Noah is searching for a sentimental heirloom, a clock his ex-girlfriend spitefully donated. His quest leads him to Anna, an employee with a privileged past she’s trying to distance herself from. What unfolds is a “from opposite worlds” story with a twist: maybe they’re not so different after all.
The setup was compelling, and the chemistry between Noah and Anna brought a lighthearted, flirtatious energy that made their early interactions shine. I especially enjoyed the “will-they-won’t-they” dynamic in the first half. However, after the dance scene, the pacing felt rushed and the central conflict didn’t fully land for me. The resolution, while heartwarming, seemed a bit too big for such a short format.
That said, this novella still delivers a cozy, enjoyable read with likable characters and a unique setting. It’s perfect for readers looking for a bite-sized romance with just enough spark to warm your heart.

I’m not usually big on novellas. I usually feel like I never get enough background with the characters that was not the case with this book though. It was quick and easy and a great palette cleanser from some of the other books that I read. I was immediately hooked with Noah and Anna’s meet-cute and read the whole thing in one sitting.

such a swoonworthy, light hearted read to make you believe in new beginnings and second chances 🫠🧡🦚.
The thrift store setting, the chemistry though on and off but fruitful 🥰 and the urge to feel and find thy self 💖 is adorable

was this a book that you can finish in one sitting. well yes it certainly is and not just because its a shorty. no you will WANT to sit and finish this book. it charmed me from the off and drew me in from the very beginning. obviously being short you have to often get right into it. things have to fit, be concise but then you risk losing meaning or depth. the this book manages it all so well. its includes all you need to be involved and all you want to feel connected. it was a sweet, cute but certainly deep enough book to truly make you care, make you want to read on. and it wasn't a hardship to read all the way through either!
i am overly overly impressed with what the author manage to do in such a short read. it cant be easy at all.
Noah and Anna each stole my heart. they were a right pair to get stuck in to. how they navigated being together was cute to follow. and it felt authentic to watch it grow.
the side characters that were fit alongside the story was also super nice. and again, done really well.
i felt like although our pair were from different reasons for seeking something new or different, they somehow needed the same thing after all. and they found that within themselves and also via each other and for each other. i loved how they had different reasons for being where they were but like us all really, what you need isn't too different after all for good folk. and this is what we saw in our main characters.
