Ms. Strom and Ms. Payne brings us stories and examples that showcase how they achieved academic intervention success for the whole child. They used resources from the school, family, and afterschool programs to make sure students succeeded academically and socially. For each of their points, they gave stories that would highlight how it can be used. This program was mainly focused for the afterschool program more than the classroom setting.

I appreciated the points they gave and the stories that showed how successful it can be by involving all parties and making meaningful relationships and choices. They showed that no matter the situation, all can be successful by utilizing what and who was available and that everyone was open to working together to ensure the success of the child.

I have received and read an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Teacher Created Materials | Shell Education for this privilege.
