DNF at 15%

I wanted to love this one, I always want to help out a debut author, but I just couldn't. I was trying to stick it out but the story just didn't grab me at all. It felt like a series of tropes stitched together that I've read a million times.

The writing isn't bad by any means, and the magic system is interesting. But I felt like I knew exactly how the story was going to play out right from the first few chapters.

I think this would be a good book for someone that's very interested in fae, political intrigue between a magical community, and romantasy.
