This book is information and funny! A good balance between the two. Lice is a very gross topic but this book is sure to capture the attention of readers 3rd-5th grade. I think this would make a great additional purchase for public and school libraries.

I loved this book. It was the best and most informative book I've ever read on lice, which is a problem at our K-5 school. I was looking forward to getting it for my elementary library but after reading it, I think American parents are not ready for their kids to read an elementary school book with vocabulary like "crabs," "psuedopenis," and "copulation." I would get it for my own kids but not for the library where it could be seen as inappropriate for the intended audience. Maybe better for middle schoolers.
