Urg I really wanted to love it but just wasn’t for me. I hate having to write not the most positive feedback but not every book is for everyone

I listen to this book within a day and I will say that it held my attention & kept my attention the whole time. We follow from the perspective of our main characters who is 10 years old named Topaz. She definitely fits the narrative of a 10 year old child who doesn’t have a full understanding of most things.
One day she at the table eating dinner when he mom mentions a child was kidnapped and found dead. Then later that night her biggest sister ruby takes her into their room to tell her she caught him, that he’s in the cold space right now. From there everything gets a little wild.
This book was full of plot twists that kept me guessing. The family dynamic was very interesting. With a house full of children who keep secrets. Honestly by the end of the book I felt awful for all of those girls. They all had to grow up so fast. But overall this kept honestly kept me entertained and engaged on “who is the true liar”
This book is heavy with TW so please don’t read if you have triggers to children getting hurt.
Thank you so much @netgalley and A little publishing, for this alc!
