This is a fantastic read that I finished in a couple of hours because I just couldn't put it down. Perfectly paced and kept me guessing all the way through. I would highly recommend

The Nanny Problem by Nolon King and Lauren Street is a twisty, fast-paced domestic thriller that hooks you from page one. The premise—an innocent-seeming nanny stepping into a family with secrets of their own—sets the stage for tension that keeps building with every chapter. I loved how the authors balanced the unsettling suspense with character depth, making you question who to trust at every turn.
The pacing is tight and binge-worthy, the kind of book you can easily knock out in a weekend. While a few twists were a bit predictable, the execution still made them satisfying.
If you like your thrillers dark, domestic, and full of secrets that just won’t stay buried, this one delivers. A solid 4-star read that left me side-eyeing the idea of ever hiring a nanny!

Story kept me hooked and I was very invested in it even though it started a bit slow. Enjoyed this psychological thriller storytelling and tension building.

This was a quick, gripping read. The authors are like magic together. They write relatable characters, gripping storylines, crazy scenarios, and real emotion. I love a good nanny book. I liked how this played the trope in a new and creepy way. I absolutely can not wait until the next book.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!
The Nanny Problem was a fun, quick read. The prose was simple and to the point, and the mystery part wasn’t confusing or hard to follow. You can pretty much put the pieces together before Zoe does and figure out what’s going to happen next, I think I was only surprised at the very end with how everything hit the fan. I would classify this as a fun beach read that doesn’t distract you from the rest of the day.
I would say the cons are 1) Zoe refusing to leave and 2) all the excitement happening towards the end.
Zoe isn’t a bad character. She’s strong headed and determined, even in the most intense of situations, which I admired. My main gripe was that in a lot of situations she dismissed the way people acted towards her but SPOILER: the act that made her want to quit wasn’t done towards her. Not only that, but Zoe wants to be an investigative journalist, but most of what she finds out is information that’s given to her. She doesn’t really ask questions and when people start to gossip she doesn’t seem to like it or try to indulge in it, even if it can give her more info on the people she’s trying to look into.
My other thing is the ending. I liked it, but it happened so suddenly and the motive for everything (the only mystery part I couldn’t figure out beforehand) was summed up in a couple of sentences. And then poof! Resolved. Also, the description mentions Bree’s murder, but that doesn’t actually happen until well into the novel.
Regardless, the description says book 1 and the ending hints at a sequel/series. I would read the second installation to see Zoe again and what new mysteries she finds. 3.5/5 stars.

Thank you Netgalley for my copy.
This book was okay, but it's quite forgettable.
Some thing(s) I liked:
✅Writing was okay
Some thing(s), not so much:
⭕Very slow, took ages for anything to happen
⭕Hired for a job and you're treated like crap at every turn? No, only a fool would stay. It was clear even without that that it was a dangerous situation and she still chose to stay? nah. Also, they put her in the basement when they had 40 guest rooms? Cut and run.
⭕ Completely unbelievable to the point it might as well have been a fantasy book.

This book had me hooked but it started off slow. But then bang it hooks you in, It was a great psycological thriller, with suspenceful elements to the book. It was fast paced, with lots of twists and tuirns. It has secrets, lies and as the book progresses you can feel the tension mounting.

What does one do when they are down and out? How does a desperate situation push people to do certain things, like acting recklessly or taking bold decisions? Perhaps, there are going to be a few lingering questions in your mind when you read the gripping tale of Zoe, who accepts the role of nanny and gets more than she agreed to..
Things get further complicated for her when another nanny, called Bree, is killed. Bree has recently acquainted Zoe and was eager to form a friendship with her. But before she could do so, her unnatural death put a stop to it. Once things start unravelling by Zoe discovers shocking details about the famed lives of Stockports, and the entire house of lies comes crashing down. She soon comprehends the truth behind the carefully curated veneer of perfection, hiding seemingly damaging and ugly truths of the rich and famous. What Zoe does next is worth reading yourself.
Indeed, the book has a fast-paced narrative and keeps you glued to its pages from the first word. The brief but detailed groundwork for Zoe’s fateful appointment has been laid in such a fashion that you won’t get a breather to think about what comes next. From there on, things move in a rapid succession, and the readers breeze past one incident after another. There are so many smoothly executed scenarios peppered across this novel to keep you guessing till the very end.

This book was exactly what I was wanting to read, a fast paced psychological thriller. Zoe takes a job with a Nanny agency in order to raise fast cash for her college tuition. What seems to good to be true, leds Zoe to be smacked dabbed in middle of a series of questionable and fatal events. Zoe must protect baby CeCe from those who should be protecting her most, her parents.

Zoe had never been a nanny before, but she found herself working with The Stockport family, Brendon, Lily and baby CeCe who was 18 months old. It wasn't long before Zoe came to realize that the Stockports lived amidst world of lies and deception. To quote Glenn, a man who crossed Zoe's path, the Stockports aren't who they seem to be. Brendan was having an affair with their neighbor, Aria. Brendan was an attorney and Aria's husband, Jordan, had been his client. Brendan's grandfather was dying, and he couldn't wait for that to happen because he had willed his entire fortune, which was much, to CeCe.
Lily had been an attorney when she met Brendan, but after her client killed his wife and daughter, she took it badly and decided to hang up the job. Brendan had told Zoe that Lily suffered from postpartum depression and that she was negligent when it came to CeCe. He also led her to believe that Lily was flaky and didn't seem to care much for CeCe. The part about postpartum depression was not true, as Zoe learned from Lily. She was, however, negligent. She just didn't seem to love CeCe. Zoe fell head over heels in love with the little girl and she took it up on herself to protect her from her negligent parents. It wasn't so much that Brendan was negligent, he was just gone a lot. They lived in the country and Brendan's practice was in Manhattan.
Bree was the nanny for Jordan and Aria Fletcher and she befriended Zoe. One day, while Zoe was out exploring, she looked down to the oceanfront and found Bree's body. She had been killed. It turns out she was killed by blunt force trauma.
When Zoe and Lily were outside playing with CeCe, Glenn showed up and tried to kidnap her. Zoe reacted quickly and was able to get her away from him. And it turns out that he was the one who had hired Bree. It had to do with CeCe's parenthood. Glenn was the brother of Lily's client, and he thought that CeCe was actually his brother's daughter. Zoe spent an an exorbitant amount of time trying to unravel all the lies. She had actually seen Brendan in Aria's house and had witnessed them making love on the patio.
Zoe's room was in the basement and all of a sudden the pipes started clanging. When she couldn't take it anymore she went into the mechanical room to see if she could do something to stop it. Before she knew it she was hit over the head and pushed into the mechanical room and the door was locked behind her. She was able to locate the light switch and when she turned it on she saw Glenn on the floor in chains and with a gag over his mouth. She ungagged him and he told her all about the fact that he had hired Bree to spy on the Stockports and to take pictures of CeCe. Zoe told him she was going to find a way out, which she did and she ended up in Brendan's office. Lily was there and Zoe accused her of hitting her over the head. Lily told her it wasn't her but it was Brendan. She told her Brandon wanted to kill herself, Zoe and CeCe so he could get all the money from his grandfather's trust. When they heard Brendan coming, they went into the closet to hide. But Brendan knew where they were and he opened the door with a knife in his hand. First, he went after Lily and he struck her. Zoe had removed the letter opener from the desk and she went after Brendan. He hit her and knocked her against the wall. Somehow, Zoe and Lily were able to shove. Brendan down the stairs and they ran to CeCe's room. Brandon recovered and came back up the stairs and went into CeCe 's room. Zoe pushed her under the bed and told her to stay there.
This book was steeped with twists and turns. But in spite of that, the plot was very easy to follow. I thought the author did a marvelous job telling the tale. The characters were extremely well developed, very believable. I gave this book five stars.

The premise for this one is what got me, it sounded so good, but my oh my was it slow. It was truly hard to get through. I mean there are some twists and turns but nothing really happens until almost the end of the book. It's still an easy read and will definitely appeal to many readers, just not my favorite.

I went into this story thinking I had it all figured out, only to be proven completely wrong by the ending. By the time the truth was revealed, I realized I had been further from the mark than when I first started reading. The plot pulled me in quickly, and the pacing made it easy to fly through the pages.
Zoe was an instantly likable protagonist, and I found myself rooting for her from the start, especially in her determination to still make it to college in the fall. Her growing connection with CeCe felt genuine and beautifully developed, with moments that made me wonder if her feelings were partly shaped by what she wished she had had with Tanya.
All of the characters were well-drawn and fit perfectly into the unsettling, secretive atmosphere of the story. This was an engrossing, twist-filled read that kept me guessing until the very end.

The Nanny Problem by Nolon King and Lauren Street is a tense and addictive thriller that kept me turning pages late into the night. Zoe’s journey from hopeful fresh start to dangerous entanglement is filled with suspense, twists, and a creeping sense of dread. I thoroughly enjoyed this gripping read and rated it five stars for its engaging plot and constant intrigue.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sterling & Stone for this ARC!
When Zoe is in desperate need of some money, a high-end job as a nanny for a wealthy couple seems too good to be true. Her problems with her estranged mother and burnt down apartment are put behind her as she leaves the city to go and live and work for the wealthy Stockports in their remote mansion. If it seems too good to be true then it probably is. Why does Zoe have the feeling the house is hiding so many secrets? Why have her employers really hired her?
My review (vague in parts to avoid spoilers):
This was an ending I really didn't see coming. I thought I had it all figured out until it turns out I was even further from the truth than I had been at the start of the book. The story was gripping enough to keep me reading it quickly and all the characters were portrayed well and appropriate to the plot. I very quickly liked the main character Zoe, and I was rooting for her throughout the story to be able to follow her dreams of still going to college in the fall. Her bond with CeCe seemed natural and progressed well throughout the book with her love for her seeming genuine. At times I did wonder if perhaps their relationship was more than the bond of a nanny and more of what she wished she had had with Tanya.
Overall I really enjoyed this read and give it a solid 4/5.
I have also submitted a review on Amazon and to my goodreads account.

The nanny problem , this was a little slower read for me. Took me awhile to get through it, but still not too bad of a read. Would I read it again maybe ? Give it a try though because everyone’s reading pace and likes and dislikes are different. Thanks NetGalley for giving me a chance to read this book.

From the moment Zoe steps into the sprawling Stockport Estate, there’s a lingering sense that she’s walked into something far more complicated than a job. The home may be luxurious, the child sweet, but beneath the surface is a hush of tension that never quite lifts.
Nolon King and Lauren Street craft a taut, psychologically charged thriller that unspools like a dream on the brink of becoming a nightmare. The characters are quietly unnerving — Cece’s emotionally distant parents, the eerie neighbours, and the mysterious stranger who turns up with chilling intentions. Every chapter slides deeper into unease, making it hard to know who to trust — and impossible to stop reading.
Zoe's determination and empathy anchor the story, giving us a protagonist we can root for even when the walls seem to be closing in. And as secrets unravel and danger closes in, the authors keep a tight grip on suspense right to the last page.
Sleek, smart, and deliciously tense, The Nanny Problem is perfect for fans of domestic thrillers with a dark edge.
Thank you to Nolan King, Lauren Street, the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

thankyou so much netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
the two stars are for zoe

I really enjoyed this book!
It was twisty and turny and left me wondering what was truth and what was lies.
I started to sort things out closer to the end but the way it's written you still don't quite know who to believe and yet somehow it wraps up perfectly at the end. I'd like to read more about Zoe and hope this book isn't the last we've seen of her!
I definitely recommend this book!
