This book is such a great way to introduce point of view. It always feels like what you have prioritized is THE most important thing, but it’s also what you allow others to see. Such a great family representation of different families and their levels of involvement with children! Great book for older grades!

Four-Star Review 📸⛺ — Picture Perfect by Serena Patel
Sonal just wants one good family photo for her school project—but with her quirky, chaos-prone crew and a no-screens-allowed camping trip ahead, what could possibly go right? (Spoiler: not much. 😂)
From soggy tents to wild puppy chases, this story is packed with laugh-out-loud moments and heartfelt reminders that “perfect” doesn’t mean picture-perfect. It’s about showing up, surviving the chaos, and sometimes… flipping a canoe along the way.
📷 Great for fans of funny, fast-paced middle grade
🐶 The runaway puppy = scene stealer
🍫 S’mores, sibling drama & real family love
💬 Ideal for ages 8–12
Not quite five stars, but this book nailed the messy beauty of family life. A fun read with heart and humor in equal measure!
