A cute heist story with heart and humor. Jennifer gets swept into a money-making scheme with her bold roommate, leading to double lives, unexpected allies, and a wild plan to escape the fallout. The pacing was a little slow at times, but I was invested in how it would all play out—and who’d make it out clean.

I tried to finish this book but I could not connect complete to it. The plot was there and good but I don't know. I think this is nor for me,

I want to start off by saying that I absolutely love the cover! The bright colors are eye catching and the loved that the road was added into the hair. This book was funny, the characters were great and I found this book to be very entertaining. The premise of this book was also unique and creative, I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more books from this author.

i decided to request this book as something a bit different from my normal as i hoped it would be a gripping and fun read. unfortunately the story just didn't grab me and i knew it just wasn't going to be my cup of tea

The Sweetest Getaway has sass, spontaneity, and many laugh out loud moments. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I haven't read a good girl to a bad girl novel in a while, and this book did not disappoint.
In a moment of weakness, Jennifer lets her mind run wild and gets sucked into an illegal scheme with her friend Nari. The book is lighthearted but with lots of fun fuled moments. I thoroughly enjoyed the female comraderie and friendships. Please read if you are looking for a nice, warm, cozy heist with your girlfriends.

***The Sweetest Getaway*** by Sasha Preston is a whip-smart, cozy heist novel brimming with humor, friendship, and just the right dash of criminal mischief.
The story follows Jennifer, a sweet and mostly law-abiding daydreamer, who finds herself dragged into a not‑exactly‑legal scheme by her daring roommate Nari. What starts as a small-time venture quickly escalates into an international escapade involving a team of witty, all-female culprits,
The characters are smart, quirky, and just plain funny. This is an adventourous book for sure.

This book was another that I was so excited to read. It was compared to Oceans 8 and I love that movie. This book unfortunately fell flat as a pancake for me. I just didn’t care about the characters or the story at all.

I was really excited to dive into The Sweetest Getaway, not only is the cover absolutely stunning, but the first few chapters delivered major Ocean’s 8 vibes. I was instantly hooked and ready for the thrilling ride ahead, especially with Nari and her bold, chaotic energy leading the charge!
Unfortunately, the momentum didn’t quite hold for me. After the high-stakes excitement of the opening gala scene, the pacing slowed considerably, and I found myself struggling to stay engaged. The story seemed to lose the spark that had initially drawn me in, and I wasn’t feeling that pull to pick it back up and see what Nari and Jennifer were getting up to next.
I can definitely see this book resonating with other readers, it has flair and personality, but ultimately, it just wasn’t the right fit for me. I ended up DNF-ing it, which was disappointing given how strong the beginning was.
Thank you so much for the ARC regardless and wish you all the luck with publication!

The Sweetest Getaway unfortunately wasn't the sweetest getaway for me. The cover art is beautiful, and the premise is what caught my attention. Jennifer, in a moment of weakness, lets her roommate, Nari, rope her into a money-making scheme that isn’t exactly… legal. The pacing was just off to me, and it was just too slow. Sorry, but DNF at 60%. If you are wanting no spice, cozy heist, this book is for you.
Thank you, NetGalley, and Independently Published for the ebook in exchange for my honest review.

the humour is great. the characters all shimmy from the pages. and the plot follows through everything it sets itself up to be.
