Thank you for providing me with an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Unfortunately, I was unable to finish it. While I appreciated the writing style from the author, it ultimately wasn’t the right fit for me at this time. I believe that readers who enjoy drama, dance and multiple POVS may connect with it more than I did.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to read and will look forward to seeing other readers’ thoughts once it’s released.

A huge thank you to NetGalley, Book Guild Publishing and author B Fleetwood for providing me with the eARC of “Dancing Fools and All That Jazz”, in exchange for my honest review.

Publication date: 28th July 2025

Dancing Fools and All That Jazz is a lovely story about a group of ladies, varying in ages and at different stages of their lives, as they compete in a dance competition in Paris.

The story center's around 5 of these ladies, given them each their own perspective, which allows the reader to get to know each of them as well as their struggles, while the story progresses.

My favourite thing about each of these women was their relatability. I don’t love a perfect character, and when they are flawed and have their own issues and own areas of growth, I find this a much more interesting read.

Overall, a lovely read to curl up with and get lost in.

oh what a joyous read to be part of if only to be reading it. this book was everything i wished it to be after id read the blurb. you are left feeling all sorts of feelings in this sparkly book. all that jazz is certainly how i felt.
this book does such a gorgeous job of capturing our little crew. we've got a group of woman competing in a Parisian dance competition and going through all the things that come with it as well as dealing with things in their own lives.
i loved how Fleetwood describes the scenes in front of us. it was so vivid and like we were there. i could picture all the going on and all the people there. it felt like i was there amongst the buzz of it. whilst on the other side you get to know all the characters and their individual moments shine out too. they are all different characters. they all have their perfect place in the book and also its brilliantly described how each of our cast come to the competition and act throughout letting us in more and more to their journeys in this book. i loved following them all.
this book got me alot more emotional than i thought it would be in the best of ways.
this book deserves all the stars and maybe a few sparkly ones too!

A contemporary book set in Manchester, England we come upon 5 different women that have all joined an amateur dance group. They are in rehearsals to perform in Paris for a competition. With 5 different personalities you can be assured of an interesting story as they all look forward to the competition. Yet with 5 different personalities you can also be sure there will be bickering, lots of gossip and misunderstandings. This book was a bit different than my usual genre of HF, but you can only take so much of WWII. My thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review..
