Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a audiobook arc copy of Full Tilt by Emma Scott in exchange for an honest review.
I originally read this duet a few years ago so when I saw it was being traditionally published and an audiobook was being produced I just knew I had to pick it up!
This story is absolutely heartbreaking and will stick with me for a long time. It keeps you hoping the whole times that the ending won’t be what you know it is and yet once it happens it’s still amazing and earth shattering. I need the next book immediately! A tragedy of a romance; perfection.

I’m not ok! I started and finished this today and let me tell you, I had no business being awake at 1am sobbing. What a beautiful story of finding yourself, accepting things you can’t change, and allowing yourself to love anyway. This whole book touched my heart. I did feel throughout the book that Theo may have had some interest in Cas so I’m wondering if something will become of that now.

Thank you for the opportunity to listen to this story! While reading this book I felt all the emotions! The chemistry between the characters was beautiful and I couldn’t get enough! The story is sad but beautiful written and allows the listener to go on the journey with the characters. I would recommend this story highly! Just get the tissues ready :)

I loved this book so much. I cried! Immediately downloaded the second one and I still can’t stop thinking about Full Tilt.
I’m obsessed! I also immediately hunted down the original covers and purchased.
Jonah is such a beautifully written character. The embodiment of love. The imagery and the way the author describes everything from the art to the smells makes pulls you into the story!
The romance was captivating. The love between the brothers was my favorite. I’m not ok after this one 😭
I listened to the audiobook! The narrators did a phenomenal job. I loved the narrator that did Jonah’s parts. He made the heartbreaking parts more meaningful and heartbreaking.

Dual narration - Kris Koscheski & Caitlin Kelly
Heartbreaking
Be ready for an emotional roller coaster type journey with this one. If you’re looking for a book to give you a good cry then this one will do it.
The story is full of editing and depth. Very well written and developed.
NO HEA be warned

Thank you to NetGalley, Emma Scott and Trillion Publishing for this arc.
I loved this book so much. I was hoping events different way than it did but I still enjoyed it. Characters were very likable and the book flowed well. I can’t read the next one in the series.

This book was so emotional! The romance betweenn Kacey and Jonah is palpable and the time limit on their relationship is heartbreaking. I loved the audiobook, great narration and both a male and female narrator make it come across so real to the reader

Wow. Ouch. That was so painful!!! The narrators did a fabulous job! I fell in love with both characters and then my heart was BROKEN at the end. I cannot wait to read the next book! 5 stars!!!

Wow... this one took me by surprise. For being a book that I had not heard of or seen recommended to being an clear five-star read (for me, anyway) was a surprise! I received this book on #netgalley and had not read any reviews before I jumped in.
This book includes some particularly difficult scenes/realities that are not generally things that I like to see in my top romance books but the author handled it exceptionally well and didn't leave me in a dark place. As for the relationships (romantic and otherwise), I enjoyed them all; their interactions, joking, ways they cope, etc.
I jumped right into book 2 within a few days of finishing this one.

Thank You NetGalley and RBmedia for the Early Listening Arc of Full Tilt. What's more important than TIME...something Jonah a heart transplant patient does not have. Kacey a famous guitar player who quit the band after meeting Jonah one drunken night, she was black out drunk and he was the limo driver. When his body fights the new heart and Kacey giving it life again, he tries to save every minute he can with her. Four months of 1000s of little moments and his glass blowing instillation will be all he leaves for her. WOW the emotions both narrators Kris Koscheski and Caitlin Kelly gave was intense. They gave each character their own personalities and time to shine.
"I would love you forever Kacey if only I had the chance"

this book was EVERYTHING 😭❤️🩹 i wish i could erase it from my memory just so i could read it all over again for the first time 🥲 no words can fully capture how deeply this story touched me 🥹
i was completely hooked from the very first page and ended up finishing it in one sitting. kacey and jonah… my heart 😭💔💔💔💔💔 i loved them so much, both individually and as a couple. their love story was raw and absolutely beautiful—something truly special that i’ll hold on to for a long time 🥹 my tears wouldn’t stop falling even though i knew how the story would end 😭.
"Thanks to netgalley for audiobook alc"

It had been a long time since an audiobook touched me this deeply. The narrators brought the story to life so vividly that I couldn’t resist buying the physical book just to immerse myself even more. What a journey—what emotion! Jonah, with a heart overflowing with love, and Kacey, with a soul finally ready to receive it all… they completely stole mine.
Emma Scott beautifully portrayed the tenderness and self-awareness it takes to love so deeply. Her words reminded me how essential it is to care for ourselves before we can truly open our hearts to someone else. This story was a perfect blend of sweetness, vulnerability, and strength—a heartfelt tribute to the power of love and healing.
Thank you NetGalley ✨🌻

I re-read this book on audio, and somehow, it hit even deeper the second time. There’s something about hearing the story breathed into your ears — the way the silence falls between words, the ache behind certain lines — that made everything feel more alive, more raw.
“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.” That line stopped me cold. It was the first time I realized this book was about more than love — it was about identity, purpose, connection. I looked at Kacey sitting beside me, so vivid in my mind I could almost hear her voice. She is not merely an ocean. She is an entire universe.
The two lovers meet and they are both broken and they are both afraid what they feel. But it doesn’t matter — the pull between them is stronger than fear. “I am not afraid to love you. I am only afraid of losing you.” That’s the heartbeat of this story. Not afraid to love. Only afraid that love might not be enough to keep time from stealing it all away.
The connection they shared felt beyond physical. “I felt him in every pore, every breath and beat of our hearts. I’d never experienced anything like this in my life. He was a universe. My love for him was just as boundless.” When you feel that for someone, there is no question. You leap. You don’t ask if it will end. You just love — fully.
But this wasn’t a fairytale romance. The pain was real. The stakes were everything. After a heart transplant, it was a miracle they even met. And they didn’t waste it. “We had to go full tilt, just like the card players did. I would hit instead of stay. Always.” That line felt like truth. Don’t stay safe. Hit. Take the risk. Go all in.
That’s what they did. And yes, it hurt. It gutted me. But it was beautiful, too — because it reminded me what life and love are really about. Not the length, but the intensity. Not the promise of forever, but the fire of now. “We might not have months or years, but we have moments. Thousands upon thousands of them. Let’s take each moment, seize it and wring it dry.”
They did. They were perfect.

A man that lives fully is prepared to die at any time” -Mark Twain
Oh wow! This book just ripped my heart out and stomped on it. This book was my very first audio ARC and it did not disappoint. The story was great and so were the narrators. At first I thought, “they’re already in love after a few days, that’s so unrealistic!” But then it all just clicks and makes sense and boy I wasn’t ready. The slow burn was worth the wait, because the spice was spicing. I loved both the MMC & the FMC. Oh and the MMC’s brother…Well done! I did predicted a couple things, but I will definitely be picking up book 2 asap! I can’t wait to see where she goes with the story next.

Just finished Full Tilt by Emma Scott and—someone please check on my heart because it’s currently in emotional recovery mode. 💔
This audiobook delivered a one-way ticket to Tearsville, with a first-class seat on the “love, loss, and resilience” express. Kacey and Jonah’s story is soul-shattering in the most beautiful way. Their love is raw, honest, and the kind that leaves a permanent stamp on your reader soul. And let’s not forget the incredible supporting found family, fierce friendships, and those little moments that sneak up and wreck you in the best way.
If you’re into stories that steal your breath, hug your heart, and then politely hand it back in pieces, this one’s for you. Highly recommend—just BYOT (bring your own tissues).
Thank you Netgalley and Emma Scott for the opportunity to review this unforgettable story. 💞

I had absolutely no idea what I was jumping into when I started Full Tilt. I finished it days ago but I’m still thinking about Casey and Jonah. This book is heartbreakingly beautiful in a way that will stick with you long after you’ve finished. The love story that plays out between Jonah and Casey is one of the most stunning I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. This book is not for the faint of heart please know that going in. It will destroy you and repair your heart all at the same time. Please give this a chance. You won’t regret it.

Somebody sedate me😭😭
Why?
Again, I fell in love with a book and with him, and my heart is in a million pieces right now.
I cried and I cried and I cried.
And the second time with the Audiobook I cried harder.
Jonah is my baby.
He is everything and when I mean everything.
I MEAN EVERYTHING.
OH MY POOR HEART😭
"I would love you forever, Kacey, if I only had the chance."

Full Tilt is a heartfelt and unforgettable romance that will resonate with anyone who appreciates stories about personal growth, love that heals, and characters who truly evolve. And heartbreak. It’s a beautifully written, emotionally stirring book that leaves a lasting impact that I will never get over.

Typing this review just makes me want to ugly cry all over again 😭😭😭😭 I was lucky to have been approved to listen to the audiobook. 🥰🥰 It was amazingly done. The narrators told the story in such a beautiful way. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾This had me laughing, smiling, and ugly crying. Jonah was such a sweetheart 😭😭😭

I don’t usually read much about a book before diving in—I like to go in blind. Sometimes that comes back to bite me. This story was heartbreakingly beautiful, but honestly, I wouldn’t have picked it up if I’d known how emotional it would be. I’m not someone who likes to feel all the feelings, and this one definitely put me through it.
Very early on, I could tell this book was going to rip my heart out—and it absolutely did. I’m not a crier, but I was weeping by the end. Still, I chose to keep reading once I realized where it was headed, because I also knew it was going to be something beautiful. And it was.
While I can’t exactly recommend this book—because it feels a bit like voluntarily breaking your own heart—I can say that if you’re looking for a story that reminds you of the beauty of life, love, family, and friendship, this is a powerful read.
This is the first in a duet, and I will be picking up the final book—I need to see the rest of the story. The audiobook was excellent and really added to the emotional impact.
Thank you NetGalley and Tantor Audio for the ALC!

4.5⭐️
Thank you to NetGalley and Tantor Audio for providing me with an ALC of this book in exchange for my honest opinions.
„I would love you forever, if I only had the chance“ 💔
God, this was so beautiful.
This is a romance between two incredibly lonely people. Jonah is dying and he‘s desperate to finish his art installation on time. He works part-time as a limo driver which is how he meets Kasey, a guitarist in a rock band who‘s desperate for love and drowns her sorrows in booze.
It is quite insta-love (adjacent), which is a trope I usually despise, but Jonah and Kasey had this instant kinship which felt very natural to me. They‘re so honest with each other - there‘s no 3rd act break-up caused by a „oh by the way I‘m dying - surprise!“ moment.
It is a bit cheesy at times, but I guess that‘s quite normal when you know you only have a few months together, so I really didn‘t mind it at all.
Oh and I cried of course. lol.
I kind of guessed where the story was going and I‘m dying to read the second book now.
