yup that there is my excitement at being back in Starr's fall. the previous book just wowed me off my wowza's. and the book before that was equally as brill. i mean come on this is Kate Hewitt. this author has magic words and stories running through her veins instead of blood i swear it. i have been luck enough to read a fair few of her books and will go on until iv'e read them all if i can. because her words, her work, her skill is truly unmatched many times. i love her books. i love her stories. i love her writing style. she is up there with one of my true faves, one step further still shes an author iv'e come to cherish. her books have brought so much to my life often at times iv'e really needed them.
being back with the gang and this time at the other half of the stores owner had me smiling from the start. i couldn't wait even from the other books to see if we might get to see this one.
Jenna already had my heart and curiosity peaked from the other book. she was seemingly harsh but i saw hurt. and someone who was trying her best.
she runs the local store of the town and has made it her life. it was started by her parents and they retired and handed it over. but she has been struggling to keep it going. there is no easy balance between trying something new and keeping what people like. but then why aren't they buying enough of the things they refused to have changed!?
of course we also have her brother who is running it with her. they dont always see eye to eye and there is an undercurrent between them over this and few others things. newcomers want lush and luxury, but her core people in the town want what they always want and have always had. its not exactly cost effective guys...
then Jake walks in. all money and reeking of it. he wants what he wants and isn't pleased when its not on the shelves. ugh mate dont get on THAT side of Jenna. poor woman she doesn't take it well.
Jack is here for his own reasons. hes got his own issues going on. but he is here and so hes got to get on with it.
but that is that.until of course the pair are put to help out in the Christmas pageant. and of course the sparks fly, they were already people!
i loved seeing the pair of them together. they were both awesome and when brought together their interactions made me smile widely each time.
i was rooting for them both as individuals and together. and together just yum.
i also loved seeing the other aspect of Starr's fall and the characters within it. i loved this place and the people there. it felt like coming home to one of my favourite place to be enveloped in.
loved it.

I was pleased to receive an ARC copy of 'Snowflakes Over Starr's Fall by Kate Hewitt. This is the most recent story in the Starr's Fall series, however could easily be read as a stand-alone novel, Jenna runs the local convenience store, Started by her parents who retired a couple of years ago, Jenna is struggling to keep it going. Her brother has a say in how the store is run but they aren't always in agreement - and the locals want cost-effective staples whilst the tourists and second-home owners are looking for luxury goods. After a difficult conversation with rude newcomer Jake, Jenna isn't sure where to turn. Jake, a millionaire business adviser, has taken a step back from his career for the sake of his health, and when the two are expected to run the Christmas pageant together, sparks start to fly... A cosy autumn read, great for getting in the mood for Christmas.

Jenna runs her family’s store in the small town of Starr’s Fall. She is mostly content in her life after suffering a horrible breakup at the hands of a true city guy that she is still feeling years later. Jack is a wealthy and powerful finance guru from New York who is struggling after health scares have forced him to slow down. The two main characters have styles that clash instantly and make for some witty. I loved seeing the characters working through finding themselves and seeing each other through their growth. I also loved catching the glimpses into the other characters’ lives and the insightful wisdom of the town matriarch. While this story lacked the spice I normally prefer, I enjoyed the sweetness of this small town and the characters within.

This is the third book in Starr’s Fall series. It’s an idyllic town, like a picture-perfect one you see in the movies.
Jenna is a familiar face, and I’m glad she gets her chance at a HEA. She always felt quite timid in the previous books, the complete opposite to her brother Zach.
Jenna is stuck in a rut, not wanting to change Miller’s Mercantile but struggling financially. What she doesn’t anticipate is the newest resident, Jack, the guy who gave her a 1-star review for not stocking smoked salmon, is now the one to help and guide her through the changes.
Jack’s reasons for leaving New York were health-related. After suffering a heart attack and a stomach ulcer, he knew he needed to make significant changes in his life. He chose Starr’s Fall to be closer to his mum, who has Alzheimer’s and is a resident in the local memory care home.
Going from work consuming every waking moment to recovering after surgeries is a huge life change for him, and he’s lost. Helping Jenna with the changes to the store gives him a purpose, but where will his future lie? Will Starr’s Fall be enough for this city slicker?
I really did enjoy the banter between them and I do enjoy a good enemies-to-lovers trope.
Thank you NetGalley, Kate Hewitt and Boldwood Books for the ARC, all opinions expressed are my own.

I like Kate Hewitt's books and have enjoyed reading this series set in Starr's Fall somewhere in New England. Snowflakes Over Starr's Fall is the latest title in the series and, whilst I read it happily, I don't think it is as good as the previous books. General store owner Jenna is the main character and, whilst Kate Hewitt tries to give her a plausible background to account for her quirks, I couldn't quite believe in her. If you're able and willing to suspend your disbelief, however, reading this is a pleasant way to spend a few hours.

What a sweet, feel good, cozy romance. The characters are quirky and completely lovable. While the plot is predictable, it kept me captivated throughout and I truly enjoyed the story. A must read for those who enjoy a quick, fun, romance.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is the third book in the Starr's Fall series and features Jenna and Jack. It had romance, humor, and a great small town. I really enjoyed that stories from other townspeople continue in each book. I liked catching up with them.

This was a really good read and I am looking forward to the next in the series.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Another delightful visit to Starr's Fall. A warm small town with a variety of interesting characters. Some heartbreaking back stories. A fun snarky relationship that develops into more. Entertaining banter. A sweet, slow-paced romance. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

A beautiful story. This is the third book in this series set in Starrs falls which sounds like such and idyllic location it really seems to be the heart of the novel and I'm hoping there could be another one following. When Jenna and Jack meet in the general store she owns they immediately get off on the wrong foot as he looks every inch the high flying buisness man but when they are roped in to help with the town's winter wonderland parade can opposites attract and will the magic of Stars fall unite two unlikely people. Was lovely catching up with the other interesting characters from the previous novels and finding out how they were doing, was emotional at times but also heartwarming and I really enjoyed it

Having read the other books in the series, this one fell a bit flat for me. I was looking forward to cosy Christmas spirit but it was really just focused on the relationship between Jack and Jenna, which I didn’t feel all that invested in, I wanted to know more about the shop renovation and how well that had gone but it was skimmed over despite being what brought the two characters together. A cute enough read if you want a quick and easy read that has you thinking about Christmas in snowy Connecticut.

A hug in a book! This brilliant book follows the story of Jenna and Jack, Jack is from New York and has moved to Starr’s Fall and and is critical of Jenna and her small store, Jenna runs the local mercantile, which is in need of some TLC and much needed income. This is a standalone book but also incorporates the stories of other characters we have been introduced to before from the small town of Starr’s Fall. Loved this book and couldn’t put it down until I knew how Jack & Jenna’s stories played out.

This is a very cute read, and follows on from the previous book in this gentle series. The characters are well developed, from the cantankerous older matriarch, to the laid back brother and interfering villagers! The challenges are not too deep and the details of daily life are well covered and the plot is driven forward through conversations and day to day actions. Life is laid back and quite rose tinted however that was just what I was after!

Snowflakes Over Starr’s Fall by Kate Hewitt is a cozy, small-town romance that, while predictable, is still an enjoyable read. The story follows Jenna, who runs the local Mercantile, and Jack, a wealthy newcomer from New York whose sharp critique of her shop sparks a frosty first encounter. What follows is a classic enemies-to-lovers arc, set against the wintry charm of Starr’s Fall. The mature protagonists and warm community atmosphere give the book a comforting feel, perfect for a seasonal read. Although the plot offers few surprises and the conflict resolves a little too neatly, it delivers exactly what you’d expect from a festive romance: heart, charm and a satisfying happily-ever-after.

Jenna, is the main focus in the third book of the Starr's Fall series.
Jenna runs the main food shop in the community but it has been failing for awhile. She knows that it's only a matter of time before her money runs out.
The arrival of Jack to the community ruffles up a few feathers, especially with Jenna. He's a hot shot from New York and it sparks tragic memories. The community embrace Jack's wealth of knowledge and understanding of business growth.
Can Jenna get over her past to help with her future?
I love this series of books, with the love, friendship and trust within the community.

A magically festive enemies to lovers romance filled with quirky characters that melted my heart. The banter is sarcastic and I enjoyed the development process. It's a highly addictive character driven story that I loved. It has a edge of it's own which is joyously romantic.

Jenna has lived in Starr's Fall for most of her life, running the general store for over ten years. She might secretly dream of love and romance, but she's happy as she is. Really. That is, until the town's newest resident, ex-New Yorker millionaire investment banker Jack Wexler, breezes into her store seemingly furious they don't stock smoked salmon. Jenna is as amused as she is annoyed by this ridiculous guy who clearly doesn't realize he's not in Manhattan anymore. Jack can't believe he lost it in public, but ever since being forced to leave his high-flying career to focus on his health, he hasn't been himself. The last person he expected to be attracted to is the storekeeper he just encountered, who he might have called a shrew in a moment of temper. When they're both roped into organizing the town's Winter Wonderland parade, they're forced to work together. As Christmas approaches in magical Starr's Fall, their furious sparks start shifting into something neither of them saw coming.

After a bitter break up, Jenna returned to her home of Starr’s Fall where she has run the general store for over ten years. Sworn off love Jenna is happy as she is.
Then handsome millionaire Jack Wexler walks into the store and the sparks begin to fly but not in a good way.
Jenna thinks Jack is rude and arrogant, Jack thinks Jenna is rude and a shrew!
But Starr’s Fall is a small place and as Jack has just moved there they can’t hope to avoid meeting again. Especially when they are both asked to help organise the Winter Wonderland festival.
As Christmas approaches and the snow begins to fall will they be able to put their differences and their past hurts behind them and move forward together.

When a wealthy New York businessman moves to the small town of Starr’s Fall, he makes a bad impression on a local woman by disparaging her general store. Eventually, the town accepts him and he is tasked to use his expertise to help the town. Jenna accepts his help to improve her failing store because she is at risk of losing the business. She didn’t expect to like him or for their relationship to grow but it does. This is a lovely slow paced romance in which feelings grow and develop in spite of past mistakes and perceptions that get in the way.
