Lindsey Daly presents Would You Rather? Halloween Edition. This book is exactly as you would think based on the title. A spooky, gross, creepy take on the popular "Would You Rather" game. This book includes suggested game instructions as well as eight different rounds of play which consist of various Halloween-themed categories.

This game is appropriate for a low middle grade audience and up (approximately age 8 plus by my estimation, but parents know their children best). This would work well as easy Halloween party entertainment, or could work as fun prompts to get young students to engage with persuasive/opinion-based writing.

Overall, exactly as advertised and would happily recommend.

This was a fun and easy book for kids and adults to
enjoy together. We used it during a camping trip. My kids enjoyed the questions. It would also be a great ice-breaker activity or quick five minute activity if you work in education (teacher, therapist, counselor, etc.)

Fun Halloween themed would you rather book. Keeps kids entertained for a while. Love that you can turn it into a game if you’d like. Entertainment will last longer if you have a discussion about the choices you picked while reading.

This is more of a game in a book. Perfect for getting a bunch of kiddos together for a holiday game. Easy to understand rules and nice illustrations. My nephews and niece cannot wait to dig into this one for their upcoming Halloween party.

I’m a big Halloween fan, which is what drew me to this preview digital edition from Zeitgeist Publishers. I don’t have or teach middle schoolers, so I just read through this as an adult and high school teacher. It seemed like some of the questions were repetitive across sections. I like the idea of kids explaining their thinking and convincing someone of their answer to get points. The formatting wasn’t very exciting. I can see using some of these questions as icebreakers with kids in Halloween season.

Thanks so much to NetGalley for the free Kindle book. My review is voluntarily given, and my opinions are my own.

These types of interaction books are great for kids, especially for long car rides, game nights, or sleep-over parties. This is a great 'would you rather' game book. The author has a whole series of these, which makes it even better, knowing you can pick up another one right away.

Definitely would recommend!

I absolutely adore playing would you rather games. I am also a huge lover of all things Halloween. It was a no brainer that I check out this book! I had such a blast with my kids. This is great for family night or a kids Halloween party. Just be prepared to cringe as much as you laugh!

This is a super cute and fun way for kids to spend time with their friends & family! I’m interested in buying it now for my kids at home, because I’d like to see the physical format of the book. I read this in ebook format as an ARC, and I’m wondering if you just write the scores in pencil, or if it ends up being a one-time-use type of book? I also might refrain from buying a physical copy for my school library collection, because I could see kids writing in it like crazy. But maybe we could use the digital copy on our SmartBoard. Either way, this book is a lot of fun, and the questions are great. Highly recommend. Thank you NetGalley and Z Kids for the chance to read and review this ARC.

These were really funny (and sometimes gross, looking at you section 5).

My 5 year old loved these and gave some surprising answers. They also read and loved the animal version of 'Would You Rather?' so this was a fun continuation. We did have to modify/skip a few because of their age and general level of spooky/gross but 0verall it was fun and created some interesting conversation.

I have an extensive collection of these interactive books. They may be promoted as youth, but we have excellent fun with them at every gathering of family and friends. They are also great items to have in the car for long trips or when you are unexpectedly spending time. We have yet to find anyone of any age who will not participate in the fun.

This book provides the perfect game to play for a family game night, a kids Halloween party, or just time going through the questions with a friend. With my kids ranging from four adults, two teens, and a 6 year old, it can be hard to find a game that would appeal to everyone. Would You Rather? Halloween Edition is just the type of game my family enjoys.

The instructions for playing as a group with a rotating role as “Judge” are simple and well explained. The 8 rounds of play each have an alliterative title, such as Creative Costumes, Menacing Monsters, and Mischief and Magic, with questions that are appropriate to the whole family. Questions run the gamut from simple preferences, humorous choices, to the eww disgusting that elicit sound effects from participants.

I played this with my 18 year-old daughter and youngest son, who is 6, and it was so much fun! I like that this encourages players to explain their answer and thought processes. I’m looking forward to playing Would You Rather: Halloween Edition again with the whole family this fall.

Thanks to NetGalley and Zeitgeist for an advanced copy of this book. It will be released to retailers on July 22,

I am an elementary librarian and I plan on buying this book for my library to use for lessons, and for the joke jar. The would you rather questions would be great doe sentence starters for a fun write Friday. The possibilities are endless!

These are so silly and fun! My husband, myself and my 6 year old had so much fun laughing and debating why we chose what we chose. He wants more would you rather books in the future!

Very cute. Who doesn't love a Would You Rather game! Unfortunately, I can't comment on the aesthetics, as I don't believe the app was displaying the book properly.. but I can say the game itself is very fun.

Would You Rather? Halloween Edition spins the popular party game into a delightful Halloween activity. The cleverness of the questions assures a choice suitable for everyone. Beyond the 100+ questions, the book includes rules for official play and a winner's certificate that you can print out. Although the target audience is 8- 12 year olds, Would you Rather? Halloween Edition brings joy to all who play!

As a middle school teacher, I’ve found the perfect blend of fun and thought-provoking conversation starter in Would You Rather? by Lindsey Daly. This themed version of the classic "Would You Rather?" game is a fantastic tool for both the classroom and casual play among friends. It takes a fun, familiar game and adds an engaging twist, making it an excellent resource for teachers and students alike.

What I love most about this book is its versatility. Not only can it be used for a playful activity with friends, but the thoughtful questions also lend themselves well to being incorporated into classroom discussions. The questions posed in this book spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and can be used as great icebreakers or thought-provoking openers for class. It’s a perfect way to set a positive tone at the start of a lesson, get students talking, and perhaps even give them a chance to reflect on their own preferences and values.

The Halloween-themed edition is an added bonus. It’s the perfect companion for the month leading up to Halloween, as it seamlessly ties into the spooky season while keeping things lighthearted and fun. Whether you’re looking to fill in a few minutes of class time or introduce a larger discussion, this book fits the bill.

Highly recommended for educators and anyone looking to have a good laugh while also sparking meaningful conversation.

These books are so funny and always make our family laugh. This is a great book and was so much fun to share with kids.

I thought it was interesting that this book was set up as a game, with score cards and everything. It seems like this might be part of a series, and if so, it's a cool one! It's geared a little younger than the middle school/early high school crowd I usually work with, but I could see this being fun at a tween Halloween party.

This game encourages creativity, talking with one's peers, and persuasive public speaking. If you're looking for a way to get a group of kids off their screens and interacting with each other, this book might just do the trick!
