The latest addition to the Puddleduck Farm series. It works as a standalone story, but I would recommend reading the previous, as the character arcs continue.
Vet Phoebe and partner Sam are now parents to daughter Lily. The book tells the story of their lives changing as first time parents, and how they adapt to situations. I really love the character of Maggie, and the unsuitable pet storyline is both sad and amusing.
Warm and cosy, a nice read. 3.5 stars rounded to 4.

A New Family at Puddleduck Farm by Della Galton ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A great addition to the Puddleduck Farm series. It can stand alone but they all follow the residents and visitors in this small town. You'll feel apart of the community as you read them in order.
This is Phoebe and Sam's story. Along with their new born daughter Lily. You get a bird eyes few of the hardships of being first time parents and daily life. I laughed and cried and my heart broke as I'm sure you're will too.
Read along as they try to do it all. From sleepless nights, careers, keeping house as well as an adult relationship.
I hope they can find a way to conquer it all and continue to grow.
This book is releasing on August 28th
Thank you Netgallery and Boldwood Books for the advanced copy of this book.

This is a fabulous addition to the series following the residents and visitors at Puddleduck Farm. Phoebe Dashwood and Sam Hendrie are now parents to Lily. They couldn’t be happier but are also struggling with working and sleepless nights among other things. Vet Phoebe is worried as she is finding motherhood harder than she imagined. On top of that she then becomes concerned when it starts to look like some people have started to keep unsuitable animals as pets as well as some wildlife. Sam is left to pick up the domestic side of their lives and with neither saying how they really feel….. This series has some great characters, an engaging storyline, with humour as well as drama, and a real heartwarming feel too. Connection with family, friends and the community are the main thread in this beautifully written book. Thanks to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the ARC

How lovely to return to Puddleduck Farm again. This was such a lovely story, a new baby, together with balancing a vets practice and keeping a relationship going this was a tear jerker at times. I do hope this series continues as I love these books so much. My thanks to netgalley and the publisher's for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

This welcome return to Puddleduck Farm finds Phoebe and Sam are trying to settle into their new lives as parents, if only it wasn’t so very hard. Sleepless nights are taking their toll, but with jobs and unpredictable animals to juggle it was never going to be smooth sailing.
Added to this, the vets practice has seen a spike in people keeping wildlife as pets and there seems to be a worrying number of cats going missing.
While Phoebe is starting to find her feet back at work, Sam is wondering exactly what his role in their new life is and is it one he really wants. As doubt and Insecurity begin to creep in they will have to dig deep to keep their relationship on track.
This warm hearted story will make you want to laugh one minute and cry the next. It’s like a hug in a book, with characters both human and animal you will feel like you know. Although it is part of a series it can be read alone, but I would whole heartedly recommend the full series.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it had that romance element that I was looking for and enjoyed the overall and thought the writing was perfectly done for this type of book. The characters were everything that I wanted and enjoyed getting into this world and how the concept was used in this. It made me feel good during reading this and am excited for more from Della Galton.

Any story by Della Galton is always a treat and this lovely book lived up to expectation.
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

I haven't read any other books in this series, but I feel this book works beautifully as a stand alone. I loved that it showed the hard side of being first time parents and the emotions and hardships people can and do suffer with. The book wasn't rushed and covered it's story lines beautifully over the chapters, I laughed quite a few times reading it. It has definitely has been written by someone who has done their research. I am now going to look for other books by this author to read!

Phoebe and Sam, new parents to baby Lily are both finding parenting a challenge.
Phoebe is a Vet and even though she is on maternity leave, she still attends the clinic as much as possible so that leaves Sam to take on the roll as stay home parent.
Concerns arise when they discover that there is an increase in the purchase of pygmy hedgehogs and cats seem to be disappearing at an alarming rate. Can the community band together and discover what is happening?
A great fun read!

I absolutely loved the latest installment to this series. The characters are quickly becoming like old friends and that is testament to the author and wonderful writing. I often feel I could visit Puddleduck Farm and be invited in for a cuppa around the massive table in the farmhouse kitchen the New Firest setting is just perfect for this series and I'm already impatiently waiting for the next in the series.

It was great to be back at Puddleduck farm and vets. Catching up with Phoebe and Sam again and their new baby Lily.
I found it refreshing to see that it was Sam who was unravelling at becoming a parent and finding it hard to adapt, new fathers suffer just as much a new mothers, especially those that are going to be the full time parent. His feelings, no matter his gender were relatable and very human. Parenthood isn’t always pretty, and it’s only in hindsight with rose tinted glasses you think it flew by and miss it.
The whole cat storyline was interesting and I loved how Maggie came up with a plan, a plan that had Maggie written all over it, I had a little chuckle at all the wide eyed innocent faces as Phoebe was kept in the dark while the rescue happened.
It was nice to catch up with everyone and fingers crossed the next book will be the wedding.

I read A New Family at Puddleduck Farm having not read any others in the series. It was a great read and I will definitely go back and read some others in the series. It was light-hearted but dealt with some serious emotions in a sensitive way. The characters were all likeable and the story was interesting and entertaining. Sometimes it felt a little more editing was needed, but it didn't take away from the overall enjoyment.

This was such a lovely heartwarming festive read. Even though I hadn't read the other books in the series I still enjoyed it and I will definitely go back and read them. I loved the author's writing style and there was a great mix of characters. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.
💖 Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Loved this story, the next installment of the puddleduck farm series. Phoebe now also has a six week old little baby aswell as all the animals, the veterinary practice / animal sanctuary. A must have read !

What a delightful read!! Heartwarming and cozy, I finished this book within 24 hours. This is my first book in the Puddleduck Farm series and I cannot wait to read the rest now! Such a lovely story, I warmed to all the characters and loved following their mission to save the cats. It’s also based in the New Forest, so I recognised a lot of the places mentioned which was fun! Highly recommend!

Della Galton writes brilliant stories with brilliant characters. This book centres on the characters Phoebe, Sam and the new arrivals of baby Lily, all on top of running Puddleduck Vets & Pets, how will they manage everything and make time for each other? A gorgeous story of relationships, family and romance! A real feel good book

An amazing book, and a brilliant series. It just gets better and better. A lovely heartwarming book, loved the subplots of the exotic animals and the unscrupulous breeding. and how Phoebe and Sam adapted busy working lives to incorporate their new family life.
Highly Recommended

Phoebe and Sam are the proud new parents of baby Lily and while juggling caring for their baby girl they also have some personal and career issues to deal with. I am a big lover of animals and I get quite angry about people who don't treat them right so this story was right up my alley on that score. I especially liked being introduced to animals that I have never heard of and I have probably never heard of them because like it says they are not great pets unless you have knowledge and experience. I liked how Sam and Phoebe overcome most of their hurdles by realising that they needed to communicate with each other. I am a big fan of this series and I fly through the books and I think I finished this one in record time because it is truly brilliant!

A great story of love, friendship and family. It was lovely to be back at Puddleduck Farm and following the families at the vet and the animal sanctuary. Very funny at times which made for a fascinating read. I loved it.

Another fun filled visit to the Puddleduck Farm family.
Phoebe and Sam have welcomed their baby daughter into the world but it’s turned their whole world upside down. Phoebe and Sam are both questioning their lives but don’t talk to each other about their fears and this could be the downfall of their relationship before they even get married,
Live this heartwarming series and can’t wait for another visit .
