An infamous Count who killed his wives, a girl descended from witches with no gifts only the ability to see ghosts...and so much more.
This was but a taste of the book and I loved it.
A lush gothic atmosphere, ghosts and monsters, a main character you can't help but love. And a haunted mansion!!! Yes please.
I definitely will be reading the whole book when it comes out and you should too.

Oh it feels so good to go back to Marissa Meyer’s writing. I’m extremely fond of The Lunar Chronicles, but this feels so refreshing and exciting! The atmosphere, the wit! Can’t wait for this book’s release, I’m hooked already.

I love Marissa Meyer and think of her fondly, because I read her Lunar Chronicles series as a child while obsessed with fairytale-retellings. I thought her writing was amazing then and nothing about that has changed now.

I’m super excited for and I cannot wait to fully read this book after these previewed chapters raised my anticipation.
