very intereting book. Id previously bee on a GLP product so was interested to read this. Its a well structured introduction to GLP-1. It gives very good information into the function of the body and how it can aid weight loss and regulate your blood sugars. The author really educates the readers, which will be invaluble to anyone using this diet. Each recipe is well considered and and designed with the GLP-1 diet in miond. There is a varied diet to cater for all.

As a person who has been on the weight loss journey for quite a while now, I jumped at the chance to read and review a copy of this book.

First of all, I liked that it had an introductory section about the weight loss medications, potential side effects as well as the benefits. Then there were sections showing sample meal plans and recipes. Everything was easy to read and clean - very well organized. I believe this is a solid cookbook for someone who is either considering the weight loss meds or just getting started on them. For someone like myself who has been on them a while, most of the information is unneeded and many of the recipes were repetitive. That said, I did find some recipes that I will definitely look forward to making - just not as many as I had hoped for.

I still feel that this is a solid resource and most people will find it extremely helpful. I'm probably a bit of an outlier as I have been doing this for a while and do a lot of online research about the diet. I would definitely encourage someone just starting this journey to grab this book because it will prove helpful to them.

My struggle with weight has always been an issue. The hardest
part is knowing how to eat healthy and what to eat. I have
heard so much about the GL P-I diet and was so happy to find
this cookbook.
The book talks about how important that even though you are eating less that what you need to eat what is good for you. You need to get the vitamins and nutrients essential to your bodies health. This book is packed with recipes to help you create the meals you need to help feel full and get what you need to stay healthy. Everything from breakfast to dinner and recipes that are quick, easy and delicious.
The recipes are very detailed. They give nutrition information, description, ingredients and Step-by-Step directions. I love how easy they are to make. I also liked the Meal Plan examples
This book is what you need to guide you on your GLP-1 diet.

The GLP-1 Diet Cookbook provides some good basic information on GLP-1 medicines, how they work, and what you can expect in terms of side effects. This basic information will be very helpful to many readers. The second part of the book serves as a cookbook to help readers make healthy, tasty choices that support their GLP-1 journey. All in all, an excellent resource.

The GLP-1 Diet Cookbook is a very helpful and comprehensive resource full of recipes for those who are taking GLP-1 medications. There are a variety of recipes that are easy to reference to help on your weight-loss journey. I like how easily the recipes are organized and how simple they are to make. I can't wait to jump in and make some of these!

GLP 1 medications are becoming more and more available and it is exciting to see cookbooks tageting those taking these medications as there are many changes in one's eating patterns. This book I would not say can replace advice you would get from your dietitian, but the recipes in this book offer some great delicious meals that are pretty simple to make.
If you are looking for variety and new ideas, this cookbook may be just what you need.

It is always a great resource to have a variety of recipes at your hand

This cookbook is something i wish i had during my time on GLP-1.
I don't think i did enough protein etc. on my time doing this medication.
However, i have loved reading the different recipes and look forward to trying to make a few of these.

GLP-1 diets and shots are all the rage these days with millions of people searching them out to assist on their weight loss journeys. The GLP-1 Diet Cookbook dives into what is a GLP-1, how it works and the nutritional component that is the most important step in the process. Most of the diets I have seen around the glp-1 plan fails to meet the necessary protein and balanced nutrition to gain muscle mass while slimming down, but this book does a great job of addressing this head on. Each recipe includes nutritional facts like calories, sugars, carbs and proteins. There is a brief introduction along with an ingredient list, easy to follow instructions. I have an early copy so not every recipe has a photo so I am hopeful this will be updated. There were a lot of new and unusual entries that I can not wait to try and add to my rotation. Things like maple orange dressing, honey lemon asparagus, and the walnut mushroom tacos have already become a favorite. I would recommend this book for those on glp-1 or anyone looking to improve their health or shake up their meal prep.

I admit to being a little skeptical when The GLP-1 Diet Cookbook came up on NetGalley titles; however, I'm so pleasantly surprised by what a great resource it is that I'm immediately reviewing it after reading (I know I'm bad at doing that, NG--so sorry!).

This cookbook is full of practicality--backed by science--presented in digestible (yes, I know what I did there:)) tidbits as well as the history of GLP-1s (and acknowledgment of their side effects and mitigation) in the introductory chapters, before transitioning to helpful sample meal plans for a reader's weeks, followed by the actual recipes, everything is streamlined without being overwhelming. Side note: I also appreciate the font, blocking choices, and choices on when to use colors--makes for a very clean layout. The tips on how to change up the recipes (make it vegan!) or more info on how beneficial ingredients you might not be as used to utilizing (looking at you, chickpeas) are also welcome inclusions in this particular cookbook.

The recipes included in this title are also basic enough for beginners and/or those who would classify themselves as "not a cook/not a baker" but as someone who *does* classify herself as a cook/baker AND has diabetes and is on a GLP-1, I can tell they're going to be tasty and generally filling without overloading on unnecessary ingredients. The recipes also don't call for a lot of potentially harder-to-come-by ingredients; I read and review these through my plentiful-options-in-the-suburbs-and-solidly-middle-class AND my I-grew-up-on-the-poor-side-in-a-food-desert lenses. Most ingredients are ones that are useful to have on hand, or that are pretty common to have in your fridge/cupboards as it is. I do wish, as someone who is allergic to eggs, that there were even more breakfast options included that didn't center on eggs--however, I do recognize that it's one of the simplest and easiest ways to build a high-protein, low carb breakfast. The "Lemony Blueberry Overnight Oats" are definitely a new flavor profile for overnight oats for me and I'm looking forward to trying those! And why have I never thought to make fried rice for breakfast? "Bacon and Egg Fried Rice"--yes, please! Well, for my family. :)

What else am I excited to try? Mexican-Style Tofu Scramble, Cucumbers with Minted Yogurt (just in time for the nine-kagillion cucumbers TheHusband just picked from the garden), Mediterranean Quinoa Salad (this one wouldn't be as easy for younger me to make), Versatile Chicken Vegetable Soup, Triple Tomato Bisque, Sesame Snap Peas, Cauliflower Faux-Soto, Roasted Lemon Pesto Broccoli, Spicy Turkey Burgers, Cornflake Chicken (the 80's child in me cries out!), Turkey Texas Hash, Pork Chops with Basalmic Glaze (to be honest, this will probably be tested *tonight*)...and on and on. Even the chapter on Plant Based Mains? I'm not usually one to skip my meaty mains, but I'm going to checking these out. *waves at my kid* - hey, let's try the Edamame and Noodle Stir Fry soon, mmmkay? And the SNACKS. OMS, the snacks. I *needed* this chapter in my work life!

Yes, yes, allll the raves. I need my library to have a copy. I need my own copy.

The Glp-1 Diet Cookbook give good background on the various GLP-1 medicines, how they work, and how to deal with side effects. There is a good variety of recipes to try. Some do require ingredients you may not have in your pantry, but will need to get. The recipes look easy to prepare and tasty.

Disappointingly Basic for a Niche Topic

I was genuinely hoping The GLP-1 Diet Cookbook would offer fresh, medically backed insight into how to eat well while using medications like Ozempic and Wegovy. Unfortunately, this felt more like a surface-level overview than a specialized resource.

The recipes are simple, which can be a plus for beginners, but many felt uninspired—things you’d find in a quick Google search or any standard healthy eating blog. There isn’t much innovation or depth in how the meals are tailored to GLP-1 users beyond the usual “high-protein, low-carb” advice. The promised nutritional guidance is minimal, and the meal plans didn’t add significant value.

If you’re already familiar with healthy eating basics or have been managing your GLP-1 nutrition for a while, this likely won’t offer much new.

2/5 stars – Accessible but too basic to stand out in a crowded field.

As someone who has been on a weight-loss journey, this book has been invaluable. I had a major surgery last year, and I had to change what I ate, and I found many recipes that work with my esophagus. Some of my favorite recipes include the cottage cheese ones, as long as the cottage cheese is blended. I also love how the recipes indicate whether they're for one person, two, or more. This is very helpful for me when I'm planning my meals to know how much I need to make for my family, or if they'll eat it or not. I highly recommend this for anyone on a GLP-1 journey or those looking to lose extra weight; it provides a great starting point.

I went into this thinking I could get a few more recipes to help me with my diet and I was actually very surprised to find the variety. I am mostly vegetarian and finding recipes that aren't all eggplant was such an amazing surprise.

An informative book on GLP-1 type medication, how they work and potential side effects.

While I was hoping for more inspiring recipes, this book is a great starting point for information. The recipes are basic, and fairly bland, but it would seem thats the kind of eating required when using GLP-1 meds. I wish the recipes had more photos!

The front of this book had so much valuable information! I learned a lot reading it!
The recipes look and sound fantastic and aren’t boring! The few I’ve tried so far were delicious!! Can’t wait to try more!
