I always appreciate when someone can write a self-help style book in a light hearted manor that doesn't feel like your reading a textbook in a college class. However, throughout reading this there were points where I couldn't figure out if certain excepts were meant to be a light hearted "ha ha" or if they were outright sarcastic. Growing up in what I guess you could call the "era of 'meh'" (being a teen in the late 90's-early 00's), the term was used A LOT. Mostly as a form of indifference. While I found some of the material in the book relatable, some was a little strange. I think this book would be a good read for anyone that does not know what "meh" is at all and never grew up with it. That being said, if you grew up with "meh", you may still want to give this book a shot. You might learn some new forms in which to equip "meh" in your every day life that you never thought of before. It is a quick read and you may benefit from it. Thank you Koehler Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this piece. My opinions on this book are my own.

The Power of “MEH” is a light, humorous, and surprisingly thoughtful look at how to approach life with a bit less pressure and a lot more calm. While it doesn’t read like a strict guide or blueprint (and doesn’t try to), its message is clear and easy to absorb.

Diwan keeps things relatable and real, making you laugh while subtly reminding you that it’s okay not to be in a constant state of productivity or perfection. As someone who’s fully embraced the “meh” lifestyle, I found myself nodding along the whole way. A short but worthwhile little guide for anyone feeling a bit overwhelmed by modern life.

I’m afraid I didn’t enjoy this book. I think that the target demographic is a much younger age group - I am 70. Seems quite basic in its approach to dealing with issues. There are lots of scenarios and methods of handling the situation but I think my 70 years of experience didn’t sit well with that process.
