Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the gifted ARC.
Forever in Alaska is the third book in Belle Calhoune’s Moose Falls series, this time focusing on the youngest Stone brother, Landon. While part of a series, it works well as a standalone, and I enjoyed checking in on the other couples from the earlier books.
Landon and Bailey’s fake-dating romance is sweet, funny, and full of heart, and Hattie completely stole the show as the soul of Moose Falls. The novel shines in its themes of family, legacy, and healing, wrapped in the cozy charm of small-town Alaska at Christmas. While the story follows familiar, Hallmark-style beats, it delivers exactly the kind of warmth and comfort many readers will be seeking in a holiday romance.
If you’re looking for a feel-good Christmas story filled with love, family, and holiday magic, Forever in Alaska is a wonderful choice.

Forever In Alaska
🌟: 3/5
🌶️: 1/5
This book is part of a series but can be a standalone as the author provides details of previous books to help assist in the timeline.
Thank you Netgalley and Grand Central Publishing for the arc!
Landon starts out this book with a prologue that breaks your heart as a parent. We watch him return to Alaska with his brothers to help with his grandmother.
Bailey comes in hot acting like Landon is her current fling, and lo and behold this fake fling is becoming a grey area for these two.
The author takes you through family drama, community friendships and a workplace romance. Landon has a lot to deal with from his previous life but Alaska is quickly capturing his life. Bailey finds herself still managing family grief but is learning how to get her family to open up more. Reading how the author guides us through trauma is beautiful and is something we all need.
My review is my opinion and has no influence from the author, publisher, or other readers. This will be posted on Goodreads, Instagram (bookswithcarley) and NetGalley.

First I have to admit, I have not read the first two books in The Moose Falls, Alaska Series, but Landon and Bailey are so cute, they grabbed me from the begging. I love the relationship among the three stone brothers and how much they love their beloved Grandmother Hattie. It's heartwarming and a little heartbreaking. I really enjoyed the book and have ordered the two brothers books, Ye I'm reading backwards. I received this book as an ARC.

I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Before I started this book, I went back and read the first two in the series. I have to say, this was my favorite of the three. Perhaps it's because I related somewhat to the main character. I also think the writing got a bit stronger as the series progressed.
This was a sweet book about a shy scientist who falls for the beauty working alongside him in the lab of his grandmother's cider factory. I kind of wish the author had chosen a different direction instead of the fake-dating scenario. It worked well, but it wasn't how I wanted to see Landon fall in love. But that's just a detail.
There was a lot of heart in the final book in the series. Beautiful love and also heartbreaking sadness. I was along for the ride!
I did find the writing style to be repetitive at times, especially as the characters constantly repeated their fears and other feelings. So, I found myself skimming through some paragraphs. There were also a couple of inconsistent details: a character who had not joined the group suddenly is there holding her partner's hand; in the epilogue, a child, who can be no more than a few months old, is walking. Perhaps these are minor details, but I expect more.
Overall, this was a solid 3.5 for me. If you're looking for a sweet romance with strong family values set amidst the backdrop of the beautiful Alaskan scenery, then this book is a great choice!
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

Book review: Belle Calhoune’s Forever in Alaska
Published by Forever (Grand Central Publishing) – thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my gifted ARC.
Sometimes a book just hands you a mug of cider, pulls a knit blanket over your shoulders, and says, “Sit. Relax. Let’s fall in love a little.” That’s Forever in Alaska in a nutshell—cozy, charming, and packed with enough heart to power Moose Falls through a blackout.
This is the third book in Belle Calhoune’s Moose Falls series, but it stands just fine on its own two snowy boots. Landon Stone, the youngest of the Stone brothers and proud science nerd, returns to Alaska to make his grandmother Hattie happy for what may be her last Christmas. That alone earns him a cinnamon-sprinkled gold star. But things get twisty in the best way when a fake relationship with cider-lab colleague Bailey Daniels becomes the most genuinely sweet love story this town’s seen since the first snowflake fell.
Bailey’s tough, witty, and guarded—the kind of woman who’s been through it and still shows up for the people she cares about. Landon is glasses-wearing, Clark Kent-level adorable, with just enough self-doubt to make him relatable instead of insufferable. Together, they’re like chemistry class—but with feelings and flirty cider tastings.
The charm of this book isn’t just in the romance. It’s in the way Calhoune captures family, legacy, and the bittersweetness of time passing. Moose Falls isn’t just a setting—it’s a living, breathing character, and Hattie Stone is its beating heart. She’s funny, fierce, and quietly profound. As she says, “I may be near the end of my story, but I’m still living every page.” That line nearly cracked me wide open.
Predictable? Sure. That’s part of the pleasure. This is the kind of book you read for the same reason you rewatch your favorite holiday movie—it knows what it’s doing, and it does it well. Clean romance, warm fuzzies, emotional depth, and zero filler.

This series is so heartwarming, and this latest book was such a wonderful addition. I loved Landon and Bailey's story. Revisiting the Stone brothers made such a great read. All the characters are so well developed, and even though they aren't perfect, they are a family. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great holiday feel good story.

I went into this book with high expectations, but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. While the premise was interesting, the pacing felt slow and the characters never fully pulled me in. The writing style was serviceable, but I often found myself disconnected from the story, and some plot points felt predictable or underdeveloped.
That said, I can see how other readers might enjoy it—especially those who like quieter, character-driven stories. For me, though, it just wasn’t engaging enough to stick with.

Book 3 in the series. If you haven’t read the first two of this series, I would recommend doing that first. This follows Landon, the youngest brother as he gets more involved with Yukon Cider. The story follows similar pattern of romantic storyline. This one has Landon entering in a fake relationship with Bailey, another scientist in the cider lab, in order to fulfill grandma Hattie’s wish of all 3 grandsons happily settled. These stories are chaste, with only some kissing. This book resolves the series, read this if you’ve been following the series.
Thank you, Forever (Grand Central Publishing), for providing this book for review consideration through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

A sweet, charming romance set in my own state. Although I'd read the first two in the series, this one would work well as a standalone. Much of the basic background information flowed into the narrative naturally early on. The characters are likable and if you don't come away from the book wishing you knew Hattie Stone, you romance genes are snoozing. Despite her illness, she remains upbeat and determined to see her grandsons settled in happy families in Moose Falls. Landon, the self described nerdy brother who worked as a scientist/chemist, may be her biggest challenge yet. Never mind that, according to Bailey Daniels, he looks like a gorgeous Clark Kent type. His confidence around women is, well, shaky. Needless to say, he's astonished to find himself Bailey's target as she works to convince an unwanted suitor to go away and stay away. Landon and Bailey hadn't even met at that point but things move quickly.
I won't detail the plot. Think Hallmark Channel worthy. Let's just say, in order to make his ailing grandmother happy on what may be her last Christmas, Landon finds himself in a fake romance with Bailey. He's working out issues from his past job but quickly realizes that his feelings for Bailey aren't fake. Family relationships, his and hers, past events, and the bond between the three brothers, who refer to themselves as the Three Musketeers. not to mention Bailey's family dynamics and tragedy, make Landon and Bailey's bond all the tighter. Hattie reveals some surprising things on her bucket list at the Christmas gathering, I must say, albeit all are not serious. I liked them, though, as they show her zest for life.
Bottom line, family love and legacy is strong. I liked the characters and the town of Moose Falls rings sounds like a fun place to live. I smiled when a scene flying over the bay was described. I've done that and it made me smile. Alaska is a pretty magical place. Thanks #Forever - #GrandCentralPublishing for giving me that early peek and Christmas smile. I didn't note the exact line but Hattie's saying that even though she was near the end of her time she was still living was inspiring and a reminder to us all the live every moment with gusto.

A cozy Christmas romance novel that takes readers back to the Stone family in Moose Falls, Alaska. Readers can read this as the third book in the series are a stand alone if they have not read the other two (even though I am sure they will want to and read a first hand account of the older Stone brothers path to love).
This book tells the story of Landon Stone and Bailey Daniel's as they experience chemistry both inside and out of the lab of grandmother Hattie's hard cider company. Tasked with developing a christmas line of hard cider flavors, Bailey and Landon also fake a romance to bring some happiness to Landon's grandmother Hattie in what will surely be her last Christmas.
Readers will enjoy not only the clean and cozy Christmas list (putting you in the mood for the upcoming Christmas season) but will also appreciate the tenderness and sensitivity in which Calhoun handles difficult issues: divorce, a father's abandonment, death of a father, and family drama. Readers will experience hope for reconciliation and see that redemption is possible.

I enjoyed reading Forever in Alaska so much! It had so many heartfelt moments. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline so much. This book is an amazing read.

this is the third in a series about Moose Falls, Alaska, Landon is the youngest of three brothers, and he would do anything for his granmother , even returning to Alaska.. can easily be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed this book. It was the third in the series and I loved seeing the POV of the youngest of the brothers. He was a science nerd and that made it really interesting getting into the cider brewing aspect. That was my favorite part and finding love through that. It was a cute and fun story and great for the Christmas season.
4.25 stars

Another cute installment for Moose Falls! This is the second Moose Falls book I’ve read, third in the series. Even with missing one of the books I still enjoyed Forever in Alaska as it can be read as a stand alone. As most clean romance, Christmas theme books, it was a bit predictable. However, I’m a big fan of the hallmark vibes books! I enjoyed that it was a reverse grumpy sunshine and the contrast between nerdy Landon and his brothers who previously had books. Overall, it was a cozy enjoyable read!

I loved this book! I think it's my favorite of the Moose Fall series because Landon is my ideal man! I enjoy that it's based in Alaska and it's around Christmas time.
The characters are wonderful and relatable! There are a lot of familiar characters and some new ones. Bailey soon became a favorite of mine! She's a person I'd like to be friends with. She's personable, cheery, and an encourager. Landon is hunkalicious! I love cute, smart men with glasses. He's sensitive, compassionate, and trustworthy.
I thought that it was interesting that the author wrote a character who didn't like Christmas. It's understandable why Bailey feels the way she does. I'm glad that the Stone family helps her find the joy of Christmas.
I was provided a complimentary copy of the book from Hachette Book Group via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was very cute, I wish I had read the first two installments first! I really enjoyed Landon and Bailey and how they came to be together. I loved how they helped each other grow and how supportive they were of each other. This was a very cute story that I felt had a unique set up I haven’t read before!

Forever in Alaska was a cute holiday novel. It has all the components of a good Hallmark movie. However, I found it was a bit vanilla. Landon complained for the majority of the book. He seemed like a sweet smart guy, but a bit whiny. Bailey was a firecracker in the beginning but we rarely saw that personality come out. There seemed to be no real drama either, which made for a bit of a blah read.
But, a cheerful holiday read nonetheless!
