Into the Fire is technically number 5 in the series, but I read this as a stand-alone and didn't feel like I missed anything. Goodreads also lists this as a stand alone novel! This novel is heavy, but important. We follow the story of Danica, who's suffered a tragic loss and has turned to self harm to cope with that trauma. Everyone has tried to reach out to help her, but Danica has turned inward and nothing can reach through to her. Danica is self-destructing. Danica is sent to an inpatient facility to help her with her self harm behaviors. The writing is real and raw. A solid 5 stars from me!

I unfortunately was not able to read this book. I was excited when ever I had chosen to download or pick this book up on Netgalley. However, time moves by so quickly and I never got to read it.
