Robert Dugoni has quickly become one of my favorite authors thanks to his intense and suspenseful writing style. Her Cold Justice is yet another hit in his impressive collection of thrillers. He has an incredible talent for taking courtroom drama and turning it into an edge-of-your-seat crime-solving masterpiece that keeps you completely hooked from start to finish.

The characters are well-developed and engaging, and the plot is filled with twists and turns that constantly surprised me. Every chapter left me eager to see what would happen next. If you enjoy smart, gripping legal thrillers that blend mystery with strong storytelling, this book is a must-read. I can’t wait to see what Mr. Dugoni writes next!

Her Cold Justice by Robert Dugoni, published by Thomas & Mercer is book 3 in the Keera Duggan Series.
Every book is about another case and could be read as a stand alone. But there are cross-overs and for best reading experience I recommend to read the books in order.
Keera's newest case leads her to a young man falsely accused of crimes. Together with her trusted PI JP Harrison who's the uncle of Michael the accused they stirr up a wasp nest. And her love interest, lets just say that problem could throw a real wrench her way- all while moving at snails pace.
Complex, literally unputdownable, I read the whole story in one single sitting.
I loved connecting with characters, new and from previous books.
I loved reading this nailbiting case full ot twists and turns, 5 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this eARC.

Robert Dugoni’s Her Cold Justice, the third installment in the Keera Duggan series, is a taut, cerebral legal thriller that doesn’t just flirt with conspiracy—it dives headlong into its icy depths. Dugoni, ever the master of courtroom drama, delivers a narrative that’s emotionally resonant and intellectually sharp, with a protagonist who refuses to be outmaneuvered.

Her Cold Justice is a meditation on the fragility of truth in a system built on adversarial gamesmanship. Dugoni explores:

- Justice vs. Power: Keera’s pursuit of justice is constantly thwarted by institutional corruption and prosecutorial ambition.

- Family and Loyalty: Her bond with JP Harrison, her investigator and surrogate uncle, adds emotional weight to the stakes.

- Conspiracy and Control: The deeper Keera digs, the more the case morphs from a double homicide into a window into the systemic rot of the justice process in the United States.

Keera Duggan, a former chess prodigy turned defense attorney, is Dugoni’s queen on the board. Her strategic mind and emotional restraint make her a compelling lead. She’s not just solving a case—she’s navigating a moral labyrinth where every move could cost her client his life or her career its integrity.

🔍The Plot - an overview

A suspected drug smuggler and his girlfriend are murdered. Michael Westbrook, a young man with circumstantial ties, is charged. Keera must dismantle a case built on shaky informant testimony and prosecutorial theatrics.
The deeper she investigates, the more she uncovers a conspiracy that threatens to engulf them all.

Her Cold Justice is not just another legal thriller—it’s a chess match played in the shadows. Dugoni’s prose is lean yet evocative, his pacing relentless, and his characters morally complex. For readers who crave thrillers with brains and heart, this book delivers a checkmate!

Robert Dugoni continues to hone his impressive skills, when you think they are as razor sharp as they can possibly be, he hits another home run, and Her Cold Justice is a five-star choice for fans not only of legal thrillers but also police procedural and mystery fans.

Keera Duggan has to defend JP's nephew accused of murder against star prosecutor Kim Tran.
In this third installment, the case is more personal for both Keera and her dysfunctional family because it involves her investigator and friend JP.
It is the perfect book for anyone looking for an interesting female character with a rich background.
The pace as always is intense but perfectly timed to make you can't stop reading and look forward to the next one.

Robert Dugoni has a way with strong female characters and the author of Tracy Crosswhite has done it again. Keera Duggan is an amazing character as she continues to be the star of her families law practice and with the help of her sisters keep Dads legacy alive. This is the third book in this series and her father Patsy still very much at the helm of this very interesting but in many ways dysfunctional family. Keera is becoming a star in her own right as she takes on a case with an intersting back story .
Cant wait for the next

*4.5 stars

Keera is back and this time is defending Harrison’s nephew. He’s been accused of killing two people in his neighborhood. There are some flashback characters involving the prosecutor, Tran. Your left wondering what that will have to do with the present situation. Dugoni does a good job making it all come together. The trial chapters are splendid as always. I can’t wait for more books in this series.

A very charming little book that makes a great beach read for a long afternoon. It was a bit predictable in so many ways but still enjoyed it. Good luck with the book and thanks for the early read.
