This book was absolutely brilliant. I loved everything about it. Great plot, loved the plot. Not a cringe romance which made it great to read. I wasn't expecting to love this book as much as I did. The characters and there emotions felt real, especially the grief side of things. I will definitely be recommending this book

I love the way Libby Page writes so having read The Lido I knew I was in for a treat with her new novel, and I was not disappointed. This book also has the same enjoyable voice and the same tender air.
Being somewhat of a bookworm (or mouse:)) myself, I loved the idea of arranging the plot around books. It was really interesting to follow Mathilda's (inner and real-life) journey throughout the year. She is a loveable character and so is Alfie the bookseller. We know Joe only from his letters, but he sounds like a great person. I also liked the supporting characters, even the mother-in-law. Matild was lucky to have such a supportive circle of friends and family in her life.
A very important message of the novel is, books can offer you a lot, they can be an isnpiration, but cannot replace living your life in the real world.
I can recommend this book to everyone. Can't wait for the next one from Libby Page.

I absolutely adored this book! It was poignant, funny and inspiring. Tilly’s love of books and how her late husband used books to help her through her grief from the grave is so cleverly written. I had tears a few times reading this book but also a sense of peace and warmth of the camaraderie Tilly found on her journey. I will certainly look out for more books from this author and if I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Gorgeous. This is a beautiful, thought provoking, sad, hopeful, funny, sweet and overall an adorable book. I love love loved it!

This Book Made Me Think of You is a gorgeous story of Love and Loss and of healing and self-discovery. It follows Tilly as she navigates her way through grief. With the help of a gift left by her late husband she is able to find herself again through adventure and taking a leap into life. This book is full of amazing book recommendations that are both for the readers benefit and for Tilly's. With these books she decides to travel far and wide, tries new things and rediscovers old beloved hobbies.
If I had to take just one thing from this book, it's that life is too short, take the chances and do the things that scare you.
After reading this book I now have a new list of books I must read.

I choose this purely by title and cover and I am so glad I received a copy of this arc. I adored this book, the characters, the story just everything. This book is beautifully written, the book recommendations with every month was an extra bonus I love when playlists or recommendations are included in a book! This is a bit predictable but alot of romances are. It's been a while since a book struck me like this one and it will stay with me for a while more. All of the stars for this book. Thank you to the publisher and to netgalley for this arc.

When we lose someone close to us, how often do we wish that we could speak to them one more time? Just one more hug, or word of comfort. In “This book made me think of you”, by Libby Page, this was, in a way, made possible for the main character, Tilly. While learning to navigate her first year without her beloved husband, Tilly receives a phone call on her birthday that brings Joe back into her life, one book at a time.
This amazing and thought-provoking novel takes us on a year-long journey with Tilly, through the highs and lows of life after loss in a most beautiful and compassionate way. Other wonderful characters are introduced along the way with their lives being weaved into the tapestry of Tilly’s discovery of who she is and who she can be in this new chapter of her life. These characters both help and challenge Tilly and while this can sometimes be painful it shows such a human and lifelike side to the characters that you wish they were actual friends of your own by the end.
“This book made me think of you” has become one of my all-time favourite reads. As a bonus, after reading this wonderful novel, finding out that Libby Page has several other stories already published means that I can now continue to enter and immerse myself in her literary worlds over and over again.

I absolutely loved this book. I read it over two nights. It had all the feels. Tiny bit predictable but romances are like that. The characters were relatable, feelings understood and tears were shed.
Absolutely recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin General UK for this ARC.
Six months ago Tilly Nightingale's American husband Joe died of cancer. It is now January and suddenly Tilly receives a phone call from Alfie Lane, owner of her local London bookshop. Joe had arranged a year of books for her at a rate of one a month. Books are very important in Tilly's life as she is an editor. Joe never read much but he called Tilly his library mouse, as this is the translated name of a bookworm in Italian (topo di biblioteca).
With the help of those very diverse books Tilly starts to live again, travel and have adventures. She gets back into reading, running, cooking and crafting, plus spending time with Alfie, his quirky staff and cat Georgette. She also reconnects with friend Rachel and sister Harper plus finds a lovely group of people helping her through her grief in Paris.
I love book-centered novels and this one even gives reading recommendations at the beginning of every chapter. I loved what Joe had done for her and how every book is different but equally inspiring. Okay, so the wild camping is a disaster but at least she tried it, and each book widens her horizon in a different way.
This is a beautifully written, heartwarming story about love, grief, self-discovery, found family and the power of books. It is emotional and uplifting and full of heart. There are so many acts of love in this book, from arranging bookish surprises to bringing thick socks to the airport after a soggy camping trip. It can be hard to know how to react to a grieving person and how to help them through. Tilly's friends are there for her, and they are all wonderful characters. Heartily recommended to all bookworms, library mice and reading rats out there, whether you're in a book slump or not!

After loving Libby Page's The Lido, I was excited to read her newest book, and what a beautiful story it is.
I enjoyed Tilly's journey over her 12 months of book adventures, and the varied books she got given meant her world was opened up in many different ways.
The author deals with the themes of grief/bereavement, forgiveness, self-discovery, new love and even imminent small shop closure with sensitivity and warmth. A great read!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an advance copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This for me was the first read from the author Libby Page and it won’t be my last. This story was a one sitting read as I just couldn’t and didn’t want to put it down. Filled with grief and being lost to trying to find yourself again this is a journey that I just couldn’t stop following until the very end. No question a 5 stars read for me. Deeply heartfelt story.

I loved this book. My first Libby Page book, but definitely not the last. It had me hooked from start to finish. I couldn't go to bed until I finished this at 2am on Sunday morning. It is very well written, it flows easily, it's a lovely, heartwarming, hopeful story.
This story deals with love, grief and about being lost and not knowing what's next or how to move forward.
It's about how books that were purposely put in her path by her late husband help her to grow and move on by taking her on adventures, some outside of her comfort zone. She is guided by these books, the memory of her husband and a few close family members and friends through the grieving process then gradually and comfortably guiding her into the next chapter of her life.
It had me laughing and in tears a few times. It's such an emotional well written story. Definitely one of my favourite books this year. I will be getting a physical copy when this comes out in January. Fantastic.

I read Libby Page’s new book over two sittings as I just couldn’t put it down. It follows Tilly’s path from overwhelming grief to new experiences and gaining confidence in her own abilities and instincts, all with a helping hand from her deceased husband through the 12 months of books that he left for her. New friendships, horizons and adventures await Tilly as she emerges from her cocoon of grief and begins to live again. Thanks to Netgalley and Penguin books for the chance to read and review this lovely book.

I am a huge fan of Page’s work and I feel like I say this every time, but this one is my fave! I absolutely adored this one - it was sweet, tender, gentle - just really beautiful.
Tilly’s characterisation is wonderful - I fell for her immediately with her quiet courage and independent strength. The book follows her over the course of year as each of her gifted novels sparks a new adventure and it was a delight to share Tilly’s world for a year - it has made me want to experience Paris, Italy and wild camping (but not the half marathon)!
The novel explores friendship, family and grief beautifully and it also explores a love of books - with each month bookmarked by a ‘Book Lane recommends section’ along with so many mods throughout to beautiful books and authors. I adored finding out what Tilly would be gifted next and which books she loved!
I have excitedly highlighted my #earc and cannot wait to get my hands on a physical copy so that I can transfer all my notes across - I was utterly captivated from the opening line.

What a beautifully written book. This story is about grief and the journey to finding hope again. It’s so lovely, and I just adored both Tilly and Alfie. I think I’d have liked Joe too. I don’t have any negatives to add to my review, it was just such an uplifting and hopeful read. Left me feeling warm and fuzzy! Definitely go out and buy it asap!

This was beautifully executed, well written story which deals with such a difficult theme in such a delicate way. It’s quite hard hitting when you’re reading it and think it shows so well someone who is grieving.
I adored the storyline of Joe arranging a year of books for Tilly. It was both heart-breaking and heart-warming and it was lovely to watch her spend her year trying to and bring herself back to life.
Alfie and his bookshop were so important to her and her growth through the book was so uplifting and life affirming. For anyone grieving this may give them hope that things can get better and life can go on, albeit in a different form.
This was a quietly, emotional book for me. It was wonderful, a book that’s seems so much from the author’s heart that will undoubtedly touch many readers hearts.

This book is simply stunning. Written with so much love and hope it covers grief in such a delicate way and really feels powerful. You can read the grief in every chapter but also there is so much hope, it’s heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. Just beautiful!

This gives P.S I Love You Vibes and I loved it! Both Joe and Alfie were great guys from the start, but Alfie was something special! A lot of great characters throughout, and I was fully invested in this. The book recommendations were a great touch, and I loved the format of books being able to change your life or get you to try new things.
This was like a warm comforting hug in your favourite chair type of read.

What a wonderful read. I loved the characters. Tilly is a lovely main character, she seemed so real. I loved the book recommendations throughout and the impact reading had on the characters. Highly recommend this and all Libby Page books.

I really enjoyed reading this. Although described as a romance, there are also themes of travel, life changes and grief. Lots of book recommendations woven into the story, which has given me lots of ideas for my next few reads. An uplifting story, great for all year round but perfect as a holiday read.
