I'm not sure I would exactly describe this as a romcom, but I certainly enjoyed reading it. I was originally skeptical about the time line of the book, seeing that we meet Alfie only six months after Joe died, but I think it worked out in the end. Tilly's grief was a central part of the story and I definitely cried in various places, but overall it was still an enjoyable and surprisingly lighthearted read. Would recommend to people who are sick of the usual romcoms and don't mind having their heart strings tucked

If you are going to buy a book this year please buy this one. I can't even describe how good this book was and how completely immersed in Tilly's story I got into. I basically felt as though I was there hovering above the bookshop looking in with Joe. Tilly's fiancé died a few months ago, utterly heartbroken Tilly gets a phone call from her local bookshop telling her her fiancé Joe has set her up with twelve books chosen by him each month. Tilly does not know how to cope so when she starts getting these books and letters that Joe wrote to her, it is like a piece of him is still with her. The books are all thoughtfully chosen and it is just like Joe knew what she would need. Along the way Tilly makes some lifelong friends who help guide her through such a painful time. I thought this book said to me It is not about giving up it is about cherishing every moment you have. It was a heartfelt story and I loved the idea of the twelve books a month. It was a sad but uplifting read that I was sad when it ended and now have to recommend to everyone. So good. It is worth more than five stars.

Tilly lost her husband six months ago and on her birthday she gets a phone call from a local bookstore. Before he died, her husband arranged 12 months of books for her, one a month throughout the year each picked specifically for her. He uses it to encourage her to live her life again. It's a little predictable but a really lovely read and a great concept.

Libby Page's books never fail to make you feel better about something, and sometimes about everything, and this one was no exception. Tilly Nightingales's world fell apart when her beloved husband, Joe, died six months ago. Since then she's been struggling on, just going through the motions until an unexpected phone call sets her on a journey of healing, discovery, adventure and love. Life affirming, heart-felt and sensitive, this book is like a warm hug on a sad day, a cold drink on a hot day and a hours uninterrupted browsing in a bookshop on a stressful day - just what you needed!

What a beautiful read. Always enjoy Libby Page books and this one was no exception. When Tilly Nightingale gets a call from her local bookshop at the beginning of January telling her there is a book to be collected she couldn't be more surprised to learn that it's from her husband Joe who had died the previous year but then she also learns that there will be one every month for a year agift which sets her on a journey to get back into her reading gut also inspires her to go on new adventures which are out of her comfort zone. It's a beautifully written novel and also very emotional but also uplifting and funny at times, friendships are tested but love is at the heart of the story and it shows how you can find happiness again. Highly recommend it

I was honored to be one of the first to read Libby's new book. This book has it all: it's cozy, because books about books rarely aren't. It has a lovestory and even humor. But above all, it's a beautiful and heartfelt story about grief, mourning, and how to deal with it. Written in an orginal and fresh way. The characters feel "real," and I've taken each and every one of them to my heart. A truly special book. Perhaps one of the authors best books yet.

First book I've read from this author and I liked it a lot!
The story was so relatable that I teared up several times throughout the book, the characters were all well-written, and it reminded me of PS I Love You, but with books. Highly recommend!

How can I possibly sum up my feelings for this book? Utterly gorgeous. This was a ray of sunshine in a long week. The exact tonic I needed without knowing I needed it. The author's writing had me weeping from one chapter in and a few times I pressed my hand to my heart with such emotion for Tilly. The characters are wonderfully crafted and so beautifully vivid that they just jumped off the page into the real world. I loved following Tilly and her adventures and looked forward to each month of her exciting year. But I also loved that we got to hear Alfie's story just as strongly. This book is about the importance of connection, finding safe spaces to grow and the hardship but love that comes out of grief. This book deserves all the praise and I will be recommending it to absolutely everyone.

This,Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page
When Tilly Nightingale receives a call telling her there’s a birthday gift from her fiancé waiting for her at her local bookshop, it couldn’t come as more of a shock. Partly because she can’t remember the last time she read a book for pleasure. Mainly because Joe died five months ago…
The gift is simple – twelve carefully-chosen books from Joe, one for each month, to help her turn the page on her first year without him.
Love , love , love books by this author , they are so heartwarming , and give you the feeling that all is well with the world .
A great plotline for a book , and such a fab way of a fiance to show his love of her and a push from him beyond the grave to give her a push to get back into the world and to find her new way of being .

I have absolutely loved everything I have read by Libby Page but I have to say this is her best book yet (and all her others have been amazing, that’s how good it is).
I honestly don’t know how to put into words how I feel about this one, I haven’t been moved by a book as much as this one in a very long time. It’s so beautifully written and if I could have I would have read it in one go. It’s heartbreaking, yet heartwarming, it’s encouraging and so full of love.
When Tilly receives a phone call from a local bookstore to say they have a birthday gift waiting for her to collect, from her husband, who died a few months earlier, she is beyond shocked. Already finding it hard to move on, she discovers he has left her 12 books, one for each month of the year, what follows is a beautiful tale of love, loss, grief, new friends and above all, understanding and overwhelming determination.
The author has clearly put her heart and soul into writing this, dealing with the grief and heart ache sensitively and with such depth and feeling.
Every single page is seeped with emotion, I’ve honestly never shed so many tears in one book, but that isn’t a negative thing, it’s a testament to how well it is written. How you will fall in love with Tilly and will want to root for her through everything. To Joe, who we sadly never meet but grow to love all the same, and Alfie with a true heart of gold.
Tilly and her relationship with her sister is so poignant throughout and I love the way their story weaves its way along, hitting the highs and lows together and coming out the other side stronger.
There are lots of other characters we meet who are all very important to Tilly, even if they have a small part in the story you will still feel like you know them well.
Sometimes when I’m reading I’ll skip the odd word, maybe miss the end of the occasional sentence, but with this one I wanted to read and savour every word. It really is amazing how someone can write a book and make you feel so many emotions.
I absolutely loved Tilly’s journey and everything that happened along the way, she is such an inspiration and the gift that Joe left her was beyond thoughtful, it was moving it ways you can’t imagine, unless faced with their position.
Overall this is an emotional book, but one that is uplifting and certainly inspiring. I loved all the book recommendations throughout and have picked up a couple of new reads because of them. This really is thought provoking and I don’t think anyone will be able to read this without wanting to make plans to life a full life themselves.

Such a beautiful story, written perfectly by Libby Page.
Tilly receives a phone call from the local bookshop, for the owner Alfie to tell her that her late fiancé has left her one final gift, a year in books. Each month Tilly would receive a new book, specially picked for her by Joe and they helped her blossom in to the character she became.
I absolutely loved this book, I couldn’t put it down. Some of my favourite quotes are below:
‘Getting back into reading feels like stepping inside the house of a beloved friend she hasn’t seen for a long time’
‘Because I might not be much of a reader but I know how happy books make you’
‘It means not letting fear hold you back from trying things that you’ve always thought might be fun’
5 stars.

It’s been six months since Tilly Nightingale’s husband passed away. On her birthday, she receives a phone call from her local independent bookshop; there’s a package waiting for her. Before he died, Joe organised a year of books to reunite her love of reading and spark the next chapter of her live. All she has to do is turn the first page…
This Book Made Me Think Of You is a sweet, comforting read, suitable for any bookworm. Tilly is a really relatable character and I was rooting for her as she broadened her horizons through the books Joe picked. There are poignant messages about grief and as well as defining what you want from your life. I loved the found family cast of background characters. It delivers every you want from a romance novel with the added bonus of a suggested TBR list at the start of each month as Tilly receives a new book. I enjoyed the literary references, the love of reading throughout the book and the inspiration for what to read next.
Perfect for readers who love romance and books about books. It’s also the perfect book to start reading in January, so you feel you’re along for the ride in Tilly’s year of books.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a chance to review an advance copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. I found it easy to follow and had a great cast of characters. The author's writing is brilliant and I will definitely be reading more by them. I highly recommend it.

I have loved everything I’ve ever read by Libby page, so when I was lucky enough to have a chance to read an advanced copy of this book, I knew I had to.
It’s beautiful. Reminiscent of PS. I love you and the reading list. I cried so many times and couldn’t stop reading. I finished it in one go.
I was so worried when I started it that it wouldn’t have the heartwarming magic of Libby’s other books, but it did. Grief is so hard, but this was a wonderful display of how love and life can continue through the sadness.
I loved it!

I am a big fan of Libby Pages’s previous novels and was excited to receive a digital arc from Netgalley.
This Book Made Me Think of You follows Tilly as she receives a mysterious request to collect an order that she didn’t make from her local independent bookshop. When she collects the package from bookseller Alfie, she begins what will be a year of surprises left to her by her late husband.
At first I was slightly worried that the nature of Tilly receiving a book each month might feel repetitive however each book leads to an adventure in this story which, to me, is like a love letter to reading, travelling, community and cherishing the special people in your life. I devoured it over a weekend and now feel slightly bereft!

Oh my word....what a fantastic book. I absolutely loved it. So beautifully written.
Tilly Nightingale receives a random phone call from her local bookshop to tell her that a birthday gift is waiting on her from her fiancé......the only problem is that her fiancé has died. Before he passed away, he left a collection of books for Tilly, all wrapped and to be collected one a month.
As Tilly receives her books, they encourage her to make changes in her life....taking steps forward that she needs to make. She starts to live life again in ways she never thought she would.
What happens when her year of books are done? How will she continue to move forward?
This was an absolutely beautiful book that I read it in 2 days as I fell in love with the characters and it really touched my heart.
Loved, loved, loved it.

What a beautiful book of love loss and finding yourself again, It was like Ps I love you but with books. I enjoyed it so much and Alfie was adorable highly recommended

5 well deserved stars for this book. Its about grief, love, heartbreak, loss but mostly about books. I read it in one sitting and was fascinated to see what book Joe had left for Matilda each month. It's encouraged me to read a lot more titles. Absolutely loved this book.

I've literally just finished reading it & Wow!!! Absolutely brilliant, the idea behind this book is so clever, highlighting the profound impact stories can have on our lives, offering solace, inspiration, & new perspectives.
The story shows a journey of healing, self discovery & the power of literature in navigating grief & the slow winding path to finding joy again.
Each book serves as a catalyst, inspiring Tilly to embark on a series of adventures, some close to home, others taking her around the world. As she begins to share her journey, her story resonates with others, transforming her personal healing process into something larger than herself.
Tilly is such a likeable character & I love her resilience as she slowly allows herself to guided by Joe's thoughtful gift.
This novel is more than just a story about loss; it's a celebration of life, friendship, & the enduring power of love.
There are moments of heartbreak & glimmers of hope, reminding us that even in the darkest of times, new chapters can begin.
If you're looking for a novel that is tender, thought-provoking, & ultimately uplifting, this is a truly special read that will stay with you long after you've turned the final page!
