I do like this author and have read a number of her books now! A bit of escapist romance in the South of France full of lovely descriptions and engaging characters. A lovely beach read - would recommend.

Brilliant story written by Jennifer Bohnet. New beginnings, loving family relationships and romance. The perfect summer read transporting us to the beautiful South of France.

Jennifer Bohnet's storytelling shines with its rich descriptions of the French countryside and the complexities of familial bonds. The characters are well-developed, each grappling with their pasts and striving for a brighter future. The narrative beautifully captures the essence of embracing change and finding happiness in the most unforeseen circumstances.

While the story is uplifting and engaging, some readers might find certain plot developments predictable. Nonetheless, the charm of the setting and the depth of the characters make this a delightful read for fans of contemporary romance and women's fiction.

When Brionys beloved gran dies and leaves her a property, she is going through one of the worse period of her life. Recently made redundant from work and going through a divorce it might be just the escape she needs, whilst she decides what happens next. Ben is also going through an awful divorce himself and is staying with his brother Adam and his wife who moved to the area a few years before, to do up an old property. He needs something to feel passionate about again and finds solice in helping them.

A French Inheritance is a lovely story set in the South of France. It is a book about grief, friendship and second chances at not just romance but life.
I have read a book by the author previously and enjoy her writing style and the beautiful setting. Love the scene and bright colour on the anticipated book cover. It would make me pick up the book to find out more if I was in a book shop.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)

Cozy, atmospheric, and full of French Riviera charm 🇫🇷✨ This book is more about life’s ups and downs than just romance — think grief 💔, friendship 🤝, fresh starts 🌿, and complicated exes 😬.

The multiple storylines made it feel warm and layered, without ever getting heavy. A perfect easy read when you need a gentle escape 🍷📖 Not for you if you're after a full-on romance, but ideal as a relaxing palette cleanser 🧺🌞

✨ Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Jennifer Bohnet for the ARC to read.

Adam and Lucy Belgrave bought a farm in the South of France five years ago. It is becoming a real farm. Lovely story.

An absolute page turner, I managed to read it in a day, whilst sitting in a sun lounger relaxing. Lovely story set in the South of France, felt as if was there with the characters, who were so likeable.

I really enjoyed this charming getaway romance set in the sun-drenched south of France. The story follows the main character's transition from fast-paced city life to the quieter rhythms of a country village, and I felt completely transported along the way. The unfolding of the characters' backstories added depth and warmth, making them feel all the more real. It’s a perfect escapist read—light, romantic, and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story of Emily and Adam relocating to France and renovate an old farmhouse, all is going well until the surprise arrival of Adam’s brother Eliot which suddenly changes the dynamics of their newly found life. Lots of laughs, love and relationship struggles along the way, but wht a page turner and easy to read in an afternoon enjoyable read.

After the death of her beloved granny, a divorce, and a redundancy, Briony heads to France with her mom to see the cottage she inherited from her and decide what happens next. Elliot is getting over a bitter divorce and staying with his brother Adam and wife Lucy to recover and start a new life.

I really enjoyed this story of second chance romance, the possibilities of starting a new life in France, and getting over messy divorces. I love the descriptions of living in France and reinventing yourself. I really enjoy stories by this author, and this was no exception.

Thanks to @netgalley, @boldwoodbooks, and the author for this arc.
