I loved this! I was really surprised to see how mixed the Goodreads reviews were and was happy to write a very positive review. I loved both main characters. Nizzara is so strong and fierce despite everything she’s been through. Dagen is sweet and funny and I loved their banter. I could go on and on about my enjoyment of this book but I won’t. I want book 2. Thanks

WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?! WHY AM I LEFT WITH A HOLE IN MY HEART?! this was rude in the best possible way. I loved that this fantasy was incredibly plot heavy with the romance taking a back seat. I felt totally invested in the duels and was incredibly anxious for how this was going to play out. I didn't expect the betrayals... because there were MULTIPLE. Honestly cannot wait for the next book in the series.. also we stan a shadow daddy. The only thing keeping this from 5 star personally, was like the story was urban fantasy but it felt like very much not urban. I think it was stuck in the middle, and I wish it had gone all the way in on either one. either way, I'm completely invested in the story, and can't wait to see how it plays out.

this is definitely a fantasy series to keep your eye on. its such a unique premise unlike anything else I've read. I never thought a ghost could be hot. this world was so vast and we only saw the intro to in in book one. im really looking forward to the future books in the series there's so much more to explore and learn about. the chemistry between Niagara and Dagen was through the roof.
