This book did not work for me at all. Starting off with killing animals was a horrible idea, and the entire idea behind girls not being able to join the ranks wasn't explored enough to entertain me.

Despite the interesting premise of this book, I just couldn't get into it. I found the characters hard to grow attached to, which is a shame because everything else had such potential.
