Tarou: The Fall tells the story, primarily the end, of the empire of Tarou from the perspective of multiple people from the different kingdoms that make up Tarou. It is perfect for fans of fantasy-horror and apocalyptic horror.

The characters themselves are interesting. The authors do an excellent job avoiding some common tropes that I did fear would show up. Some characters did feel more developed than others, which I felt was understandable given the size of the main cast.

If you like very descriptive horror and gore, this book would probably be great for you. I am simply a little squeamish and didn’t love the gore.

Overall, the plot was enjoyable and pretty easy to pick up and understand, which I did appreciate.
